Thank you all for coming to join us for Winter Nights 2010! We have a fun thread planned for you, full of action, mayhem and delicious pixels and gold! We will have oodles of fabulous page prizes, some wild countdown challenges and a little minion management task for you to help speed things along. It will all be explained in the posts that follow, but there are a couple of business matters we should attend to first.
Rules of Conduct
Be patient. As the holidays are a busy time for folks in RL, there may be times when neither Seito nor I are online. We WILL update things as soon as we can, so don't please don't panic and cause a ruckus!
Be kind to your fellow Menewshans. Drama and negativity spoil things for everyone. We don't want to have to make a naughty list, but we will if we must!
Expect slight changes in how things work, if we need to adjust something to keep things flowing along.
Accept your trades in a timely manner. If you haven't accepted your prizes after 30 days, we will cancel the trade and donate the items to charity. Make sure you check your trades!
Have fun! That's why we're here after all!
About the Free Participation EI:
In order to qualify for your 1 free participation EI from this thread, you must either:
solve at least one clue in Minion Poking, or
have 25+ posts in this thread by the end of the event.
This thread will be giving out Fun with Tinsel as the default participation prize. If you would rather have a different EI, please send a PM to BellyButton with 'COUNTDOWN EI' as the subject and tell me which one you would prefer. You need to tell me right away, because I will be sending them out once you qualify (and we, um.. actually have the EIs :sweat:)-- if I haven't heard from you by then, you're getting the default one! As some of you know, we reached page 2100 and everyone on that page was suppose to receive a bertie bear. For those of you who were still up afterward, you know I was not a happy a person.
Why was I not happy?
Because there were a few extremely spammy posts on that page.
I won't sugarcoat it. I'm extremely disappointed. Given the nature of this thread, I've overlooked some the more spammy-randomness posts that are made. However, I rather have a full sentence of complete and utter randomness then a single one word post. This is a site rule guys, most of you who are regulars here should know better then this.
Next time I do something like page 2100 and someone goes ahead and just spams, I will infract you.
With that said, Belly and I did reach a decision regarding page 2100. Everyone on that page will be receive a bear. Because we have 15 bears and 14 people posted, the last bear will be rewarded to the 1st poster on page 2101, who was Iroase Delschatten. Belly will be sending out the trades as soon as she can.

Sleep Deprived
Poor guy, the other minions are the first to slack off, leaving him with all the work. He stays up all night trying to catch up. We think he finally manages to fall asleep somewhere, but we aren't sure.
Dorky
*sigh* Dorky. You know he's our best accountant but the poor minion can't seem to catch a break. If he isn't totally lost in the world of numbers, he's been stuffed into some locker, closet, or box somewhere. (Where else do you think he got that sock hat from? We've been trying for months to convince him to take it off... he's grown attached to it. *sigh*) I just hope we don't accidentally ship him somewhere.
Cranky
Yeah... First thing you learn about Cranky is that you don't get on his bad side. Second thing you learn is that you always pay up whenever he demands cash. (We're quite convinced that he's the one who is stuffing Dorky into odd places but we can never catch him in the act). Just... bring some gloves and a tranquilizer gun when you try to bring him back okay?
Chipper
Chipper, Chipper, Chipper. Just what are we suppose to do you with you? Be careful leaving your stuff around Chipper, she has the oddest urge to turn everything a neon pink and yellow color. I also suggest locking your closets. CK has reported that all her clothes have been replaced with tiny miniskirts and pompoms. Chipper is also the most preppiest of all the minions, so you should be able to find her the easiest. Just listen for the shouting of "GIVE ME AN M, GIVE ME AN I, GIVE ME AN N, GIVE ME AN I, GIVE ME AN O, GIVE ME N, GIVE ME AN S, WHAT DOES THAT SPELL? MINIONS!"
Manic
We're pretty sure certain that Manic actually escaped from an insane asylum. The mad scientist of our workforce, he's the one responsible for all the explosion. Yeah, explosions. I wouldn't step there if I was you. He actually looks presentable today, normally his eyes are bloodshot and his lab coat is covered with suspicious red stains.
We're firm believers of "everybody wins." Each time you successfully poke a minion, your points will be recorded in the Min-Trainers post. As long as you keep poking, your points will keep adding up to better and better prizes, and you will get the prize for your final tier no matter how many other people have also reached it.
1 Point = Easter Egg 10, random color
