Pinging another user is a way of making sure that they see what you have posted in a particular place.
You do this by using a special method which will send them a PM with a link to the post that you have pinged them from.

To ping: All you have to do it type a user's full username and bracket it on either side by @ and ;, like so...

@ username ; without the spaces

It has to be someone's full username or it won't work, if the name doesn't turn into a link when you submit the post then you did something wrong, such as a gap where there shouldn't be one, or a spelling mistake.



If you have a problem that you feel requires the immediate attention of every staff member who is currently on you can send a ping for

@ help ; (again, no spaces. This one WON'T turn into a link)

Please note, the HELP! ping is a last ditch thing, there's unlikely to be much of a reason for you ever having to use it, it's just there incase of emergencies, so please don't use it unless you really have to.



You can also ping everyone on your friend list by using

@ My Friends ;

If there's something that you need them all to see :) This won't turn into a link either.
