I'm currently reading "My Life in France" by Julia Child. I'm loving it so far, she was such a go-getter and was so open to just going out there, learning French and experiencing French culture. she's an awesomespiration!

I started reading The Wild Thing and I've got to say it's pretty good.
I'm going to see if any book stores are open tomorrow and I'm going to look for it to pick back up where I left off.

I Just got Pretties for Christmas!! It's the sequel to Uglies and man is it good!
When I first heard the title and read the back cover I was totally not into it. It sounded like a typical teen popular girls book. But it's definitely not.
In this series (which takes place in the far future) the people are basically brainwashed into thinking they're all ugly until they get the "operation" that turns them beautiful. The main character, Tally, can't wait to get the operation until her best friend runs away and Tally is told she can't get the operation until she brings her friend back. Tally goes off to find her friend but ends up discovering the dark truth about the operation. Its a really great book for boys or girls! :D

I'm currently reading Peter and Max by Bill Willingham.
It's a novel, but it's a spin-off of my favourite comic book series, Fables. The hubby got it me for Christmas and I'm really enjoying it so far.

It's slow going. Halfway in, I had to put it down for a bit.

I'm slowly reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and I actually really like it. It's funny as hell. But my lighter reading is listening to Dead As A Doornail by Charlaine Harris on audiobook. It's my guilty pleasure, okay? :x

The other Queen. It is about Mary queen of Scots. It is really good, by the same woman that wrote The Other Bolyne Girl.

I just finished The Horse Boy by Rupert Issacson. It's a true story written by an autistic boy's father about a journey he goes on to try to heal his son. It's a beautiful story, and I can't wait to go see the movie.

@ Demoncat
It's really good. The writing is perfect for any age and it's actually had me laughing out loud. Which doesn't happen often when I'm reading.

I am currently reading Sabriel by Garth Nix. I got it from a friend and so far I am enjoying it. I like the fact that it features a relatively strong female lead character. I do think that I will look into getting the sequels once I am done with it.
