There used to be a donkey in one of the fields along the Metro line at home and my mother still looks out for it every journey.

Would you believe we have Yaks in a near by farm? I live in New York State. I found it so weird. In Mass I saw a farm with llamas!!

Growing up, my grandparents' had a neighbor who let his animals just free range, so there were chickens, goats and a very ornery donkey that would walk through their yard. That donkey was not very nice. :<

Afrodonkies on the other hand are fine.

They're not native to the UK either. But at least if they have a purpose it's more than a hobby to raise them. I confused my friend by asking where she'd seen the alpaca, it turned out to be a petting zoo but there is an alpaca farm somewhere because she's driven past it.
