He loved being with her and soon relaxed. He fell fast asleep within a matter of minutes.

Eira looked at Iku and smiled. He was so cute when he was asleep. She cuddled up to him more and closed her eyes. She started to fall asleep and didn't mind. She soon fell asleep holding onto him.

he woke up the next morning and panicked. It was light and he had to leave so no one could find him. He gently lifted Eira and ran back to his cousins, but left her a note it read: "Same place same time today."

Eira woke up about an hour later. She looked at the note and smiled. She had wanted to wake up to him, but she wasn't upset.

Iku was impatient with the time and was getting annoyed. When it was finally dark he went back to the place where they had met before.

Eira was in a nice pair of black shorts and a nice green tank top when she headed to meet Iku. She got there right after him and smiled.

He looked down and ask her the question. "You know I can't stay here right? And you can't come with me...What if we ran? If we went somewhere far away and stayed together?" he wondered if she was going to hit him for that remark.

Eira's eyes went a little wide and she looked down. She sat down and shook her head. "I wasn't even thinking." She looked up at him and pulled him down next to her. "Let's leave. As soon as we can."

He looked into her eyes. "Are you sure?" He wanted to be sure that she didn't just do this under presure. Je wanted her to be happy with him always and never look back. "If you are ready we can leave tomorrow night. Meet me here at dark with your things you want to bring. If your not ready I understand."

Eira nodded and held onto him. "I'm ready to leave all this fighting." She smiled lightly and moved closer, kissing him lightly.

He kissed her back and held her very close to him. "I love you." he whispered. He really meant what he said. He hadn't really ever loved anyone other than his cousin, and that was a very different love. This was strong and he could never let her go.

Eira looked at him and whispered. "What? I mean...how do you know?" She had heard of love at first site, but was it real? She knew she liked him. A lot. A lot a lot.

"Because I've never cared about anyone like this before in my entire life. I would give anything for you, even my life. That's not something I'd do for just anyone." he smiled and ruffled her hair.

Eira smiled and poked his side. "Well, I love you, too...I feel like...like we're meant to be together." She shrugged and bit her lip. "Plus, I remember you...remember when we were little? When our fathers were still friends?"

He smiled. "Yes and we would play in the courtyard? Those were good times. I remember one time when we were teasing a horse and it kicked my right in the butt." he laughed hystaricly. "I ran into dad crying and you looked at me and called me a dumb ass for making that animal mad in the first place." he smiled at the memories of their youth. He wished things were still that way.

Eira laughed and nodded. "I said dumb ass, but I wanted to hug you. I even had a little crush on you back then. As soon as I saw you...I knew it was you."

He grinned. "You had a crush on me then? I had a bot of one on you too. That's why I always agreed to play house with you. You were the mommy and I was the daddy my cousin was the baby."

Eira laughed and nodded. "I had forgotten about that! I would make you be daddy so I could kiss your cheek."

he giggled. "we must have been so shy." he gave her a hug. "that's changed now hasn't it."

Eira smiled and held onto him. She was already making a list of things she would need to pack. She looked at Iku and ran her fingers over his face.

he shivered at her touch. It sent tingles down his body. "I-I'll see you tomorrow." He got up and left as the sun began to rise.

Eira sighed, sad he was leaving. They were leaving together tomorrow though. She ran home and went to sleep, excited for the next day. As soon as she woke up she started to pack. She packed all that she needed, while trying to bring little with her.

As soon as he got home, he woke up his cousin and the two started packing. He had decided to nring her in case full war broke out. He wanted her to be far away from here if that ever happened. When they were done he ate and waited for night. When night came he went out and got his black horse and another horse for Kai. He and Eira could ride the same horse. He strapped all of their belongings on kai's horse and then went to wait for Eira.

Eira left as soon as she could, running to meet him. When she saw him she smiled and pet the horse. "Hi there." She got on the horse and wrapped her arms around him. she was so glad to be near him again.

Iku packed her things on the other horse and then clicked for the animal to move forward. They were on they're way to a better place. He had planned on going to the small peacful village where he had been born.
