I'm pretty good. I'm finishing up projects for school, but now that I made a slight break-through I feel like hanging out on the Internet, XD.
So how long have you been drawing/art-makin'?

Hmm... Probably ever since I could pick up a pencil, but I've really gotten serious about it only in the past 6 or so years.

That's so cool. Is this your normal style then? I know it can take forever to find a personal style.

(Sorry for the late reply.) Actually, I'm still trying to find my style. All of the art I'm doing right now is kinda like an experiment in technique. But I do rather like the style I'm auctioning right now. I'll probably stick to it for a while and develop it further.
Are you artsy?

That's okay about the late reply. I might reply late-ish sometimes, too. I'm working on an essay outline right now. Yeah, I'm artsy. I work mostly in 3-D or lit, though. I used to have a shop (2D obviously) on here, but I closed it. If I get good at CG art I might open it again, but I dunno. . .
Yeah, styles. I'm still working on that, myself, but it's probably really good to stylistically wander, you know? It leaves us with nice diverse portfolios. :3 Are you aiming for an artsy career?

I plan to be a prosthetist. XD If all goes well, though, I also plan on doing art as a part-time job.

Cool! Did you hear about those artists in like WWI that made realistic porcelain masks for veterans who had been heavily scarred/disfigured? Your post reminded me of that. Anyway, I stumbled across that info a while back while doing silly fangirl google searches on Bioshock. :3 Are you a gamer at all?

EDIT: I think some of the related pics to that mask thing are sorta graphic, so only go a-googling if you have a steal-y stomach. . .

I love gaming! Unconventional games are my favorite to play, usually ones with novel control systems or concepts, like Katamari Damacy and Okami. I also dabble a bit in the classics, but shooters and platformers aren't really my thing. I like my games plot-heavy, otherwise they seem kind of pointless. (Katamari is an exception to that rule, though. ;D)

What games do you play?

Edit: Oh, I have to go now. Talk to you later!

Radness! I'm really into plot heavy games, too, or games w/ lots of choices where I can make up my own plot. So, Bioshock I & II, Fallout 3 (I haven't played the others yet), Oblivion (did not like the older Elder Scrolls), Harvest Moon, The Sims, stuff like that. :D For some reason I don't like the Fable games. . .
Katamari Damacy is fun. I have to be convinced to play it, though. I was all, "Uh. . . it's cute, but no," but then it was kinda addicting, LOL.

Oh, I've seen my friends play Bioshock. It look intense! >=D I don't think I have the right console to play it, though.

Aw, if you get a chance, totally play it on your friend's console. It rocks so hard! It has nice rich plot, characters, and beautiful setting. **drools** I mean, it's beautiful in a dystopian way. :P

Dystopian is good. The sequel is from a Big Daddy's point of view, right?

Yup. It's not as uh. . . emotional, surprisingly. The beginning probably beats the first one's beginning, though. So back to your gaming choices, you liked Okami? That game was just gorgeous. I didn't play, but I watched while my brother played. It made us both want to grab some ink and paint (and he hates making art), LOL.

Oh, yeah. It's one of my favorite games in the whole world~ I beat it already, but I'm playing it again to get all the achievements and items. I hope to get my paws on the Wii version, too. *Drools* The sumi-e style graphics really adds to the atmosphere and ties in nicely with the ginormous amount of mythology that is packed in. The last boss is frustrating, though. D=<

Oh yeah, my brother didn't get all the way through, before he had to return it, but I know it was epically long. Which is good. I like games that have a nice long game play. Are you a mythology fan, too, then? I don't know much besides the Greek/Roman stuff, and I only know that because it was taught in school, LOL. I almost took a mythology and fairy tale literature class as one of my electives, but opted against it...just happened to find another class I liked more. :/

I used to be a huge mythology buff, especially in Greek myths, but not so much anymore. I do read up a little on Japanese mythology nowadays because it's often featured on a blog I read. I also get a lot of Roman myths thrown at me from my Latin class. I prefer the Greek god names over the Roman ones for whatever reason. XD

What was the class you decided on taking instead?

I ended up taking Creative Writing instead, which was really fun sometimes. Other times we had to read a classmate's 30 page ramble about marijuana which was funny for a bit, but it got old fast. :/
What blog do you read that mentions Japanese mythology?

Pinktentacle.com. There's a ton of articles about beasties there, like the kappa and snow ladies. There's also more modern stuff there, too, like Japanese urban legends. It's all-around good reading. =D

I am a big urban legend / scary story fan. ^^ Did you ever read those "Scary Stories to Read in the Dark" books when you were younger? I was addicted to them, LOL. Hmm, kappas are the only Japanese mythological creature I think I know of, but Snow Ladies sound pretty. :P

Oh, I remember those books! They were super cool. My favorite story was about a girl who kept her decapitated head attached to her body by a ribbon.
Actually, if I remember correctly, snow ladies were the wives of neglectful husbands. If a wife died while in the cold, she would be resurrected as a snow-white ghost. They prey on men in hopes of gaining revenge.

Snow ladies sound really interesting.

Yes! That was one of my favorite stories, too! ^^ When I got older I wondered how she kept it on so well only using a ribbon, but it's still an awesome story. I loved the illustration of the husbands face when her head fell off, it probably matched my own the first time I read it. "o=O" LOL

Heh, I keep trying to tell that story to other people, but I always end up butchering it. I can be a terrible storyteller sometimes. XP
