Ew. o_O;;

Don't think we've got rotten cabbages or potatoes in the house in a while...the last time something rotted in our fridge was either tomatoes or onions, I think. There was also that time when the parents left a bag of meat in the trunk that they bought at a supermarket and forgot to unload it after they got home. Didn't find out about it until almost a week later when the inside of the car began to smell progressively worse and worse. >.>;; The smell didn't go away for weeks after that.

I can just imagine it now, the smell of rotting meat just permeating everything. This one we did was so bad that we had to go down into the basement in teams to get rid of it. You'd wear this mask and gloves, and once you got down the stairs it was already making your eyes water. If you managed to grab enough 'loot' and load it in a bag or basket, then you were back outside like a rocket up those stairs.

The worst these days is an occasional potato growing some little arms or the cilantro wilting in the drawer.
