Iiiiick, wasps are evil. Bees will leave you alone if you don't bug them, but wasps? NOPE! Them suckers have to attack anything they see. Hell bugs is what they are.

Aaaaannnnndddd, I'm beginning to think technology hates me. We just got the stove replaced and the microwave pretty much went well, guess I'll die now. Sounded like a gosh darn bug zapper. Thankfully I had another microwave sitting in the closet at least.

But good lord I wish things would quit breaking down.

Stove died, wasps inside the house in winter, microwave died...that makes 3 bad happenings. Hopefully you are done with the bad luck for a while!

At least they're not Asian giant hornets...

I've never encountered one of those, but from what I've heard they don't sound very nice. I'm sure they serve some purpose in the ecosystem, but I don't know what. Kinda like wasps....

In other news, my mouse died. Which means I'm now limited to my laptop's garbage trackpad, which doesn't always click on the things I want it to when I tap it, doesn't scroll aaannnnnd neither of its right- or left-click buttons work. WHICH IS JUST FRIGGIN' GREAT!

I can offer a few suggestions about the wasps in the house...
Make sure there are no gaps around your windows on the inside of the house and make sure that all switch and outlet plates fit snuggly against the wall in case the nest is inside the wall and they are sneaking in through any gaps.
Also, if you have an air conditioner, you may want to cover it in case they are using it as an access into the house.
I hope the invasions get better and not worse!

We kept on getting wasps in the house at our old apartment because there was a wasp nest somewhere on the outside of the house, and they'd get in through holes in the screen and gaps in the windows because the slumlord landlady wouldn't fix the damn windows or just Raid the wasp nest.

Asian giant hornets: Wasps on 'roids, basically.

In other news, I ordered a newer(for me), better PC(another refurb); it should be here by Thursday, at the earliest.

Oh, joy. Yeah, don't ever want to meet those mofos.

Yay for new computer! Mine's...several years old, and it's at the point where babying it is a thing because I don't have the money for a new one

Man I can't wait for the weather to get nicer out so I can get some more work done on the house.


And I am extremely curious as to what's possibly up in what passes for an attic of my 120 year old house.

Last place I lived in with an attic, we couldn't use it. It didn't have a finished floor so we couldn't store anything up there XP

Ohhh wasps. In a previous apartment they would crawl right in through a massive crack in the window frame that I had reported multiple times, and they said they couldn't fix because the building would shift in the seasons and there was nothing they could do. An acquaintance moved in recently and I was allowed to explore. Lo and behold! A new private owner had purchased the building and fixed EVERYTHING wrong, including the "un-fixable" window frame. It also had new microwave, new stainless steel appliances, a beautiful mock wood flooring to replace the gross old carpet. It was new everything. I'm totally not jealous.

Frankly I wouldn't mind moving back, but my current housing down the street is wonderful, if not in need of an update.
