Life's been okay - slightly chaotic since school got out, but we've found a summer routine that works for all of us. :) Or at least it does, most of the time.

Oh that reminds me -- I need to update her ticker as I'm majorly behind. Her birthday was in early May, I just spaced on updating it.

How've you been??

You are fine the way you are! Everyone is different from one another - it just makes you wonderfully unique!
Yeah, to this day, my parents still don't wear sunscreen. :c
I try to tell them that they need it, but they don't like the way it feels.

I have a big sunhat, but I never wear it because my hair is too big to make it fit. LOL.

Aw, thanks, Livi.

I did get one - I tend to ignore them though, because I barely have enough time to get on to post.
I really wish there was a way to disable notifications from the Friends Ping without deleting everyone off your friends list. :/

Let's just hope that they won't end up with skin cancer. :( (Kind of more aware of cancer issues - my mum is in remission and my brother in law is battling cancer currently.)

That's frustrating! Hair, cooperate!! I have boring flat hair, so most hats work for me - I do my best to always wear sunscreen and my hat.

You're welcome!

I've been doing my best to tell them that people with dark skin can still get skin cancer from the sun. :( I hope one day they listen! And I'm awfully sorry to hear about your mother and brother in law. Cancer is really scary and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I have to put my hair in a low ponytail for my black sunhat to fit. :c And I hate wearing my hair in a low ponytail!

It is scary! I hate cancer!
My brother in law found out about 3 weeks before his son's due date, which totally sent my sister into a series of bad semi panic attacks. I spent a lot of time over with her, with the kids, to try to keep her as distracted as possible (the baby, or her, didn't need the extra stress). But his doctors seem optimistic, which is helping her, and him, now. Plus they're doing their best to learn sign and teach their son sign - their son was born Deaf.
I've lost track of what they're doing in terms of his treatment -- so much to keep track of these days, I tend to lose track of things.

But if it helps keep the sun off - is it worth it to work with the low ponytail, even if you don't like it? :(

Dancing is awesome!!
As long as the furniture doesn't "jump" in the way and cause me to fall over.

I'm horribly uncoordinated! :P

Yeah, cancer is very scary. :( My therapist has cancer, so I had to see another one. It was really scary to me because I haven't seen my therapist so sick and weak before. She started chemo about two months ago now and she's doing a lot better.

I think cancer is still really scary, but it's getting a lot more treatable these passed few years.

Yeah, that's true. I guess it doesn't hurt to have my hair in a low ponytail.

@hummy
Dance off! Just me and you!

Ava: That is good that she's starting to do a lot better! I'll send her, and you, positive thoughts, to help you both get through this trying time!
It terrified me to see my mum so weak. Last year was a rough year for my family - with mum's cancer, and dad passing away.
At least we didn't lose both of them - and mum's in remission. But it wasn't fun there for awhile. :(
Anywhos, yeah -- cancer is scary, and I hope that everything works out for both your therapist and my brother in law, neither of whom deserve this. :(

Hummy: Yeah, their son is deaf. But they're not letting that stop them and have jumped in with both feet into learning sign language and signing with him (they found someone to help them learn how to sign as neither of them know much -- my sister knew the very basics, basically just how to say what her name is :P, this has just given her a reason to become fluent). He will be okay, there is nothing wrong with him developmentally. He just can't hear. We've been learning sign - us and the kiddos, so that he won't feel left out and we can all communicate with him. :) Someone who is born deaf -- the only thing they aren't capable of doing is hearing. They are able to do anything they set their minds to, and I'm sure that this will absolutely be the case for my nephew. :)

She does have a lot on her plate.
But thankfully they seem to have found a way to somehow balance it all (well, most days).
Although we all are allowed our bad days - I've definitely had my share of bad days lately.

Sorry - gotta poof (the munchkins are both waking up), I'll do my best to get on a bit later, but no guarantees!
