Ever been to the Sam Adams brewery in Boston? Most fun tour I've ever been on. :lol:

I think that we're probably done with 20 Questions around here. That last round took about an hour. :lol:

I managed to run 7 rounds this event, which isn't so bad!

@Knerd - Holy crap that's awesome! Does a pitcher of beer come with the tour? If that's the case, I'm driving to Boston ASAP.

First you get a tour of the brewery, a short lecture about where they get their ingredients and about the history of the company, and then you go into the tasting room. :eager:

Everyone gets a small tasting glass like that short one. The tour guide pours a pitcher of the first beer, explains to everyone about how you examine the color, smell it, taste it, etc. And everyone drinks up.

Then you do the same thing for about 4 more beers. :lol:

By the end, you drink quite a bit. My boyfriend and I took a morning tour and weren't at all prepared. We had to take a shuttle to a nearby pub so that we could get some food in our stomachs.

And you get to keep the glass afterward! Talk about cool.

I always enjoy keeping the glass. Lol. I think there are certain drinks from pubs and places where you can keep them.

Consider going there as part of my to-do list, then! That's really awesome they give you all that as part of the tour. Most breweries now make you purchase everything, including the tour cost itself. It says something about Sam Adams, really.

Wine tours are usually easier to find, at least in my area. I'm a couple hours outside of Boston and that's the closest brewery to me. Whereas if I wanted to tour a vineyard or go to a tasting, I probably wouldn't have to drive more than 30 minutes. :lol:

mmm... my hometown is a few hours from boston too...
