Lactose is a natural sugar found in dairy products. Lactase, which I believe is an enzyme, is required to digest it. People with lactose intolerance don't make enough and don't digest it properly.

I can't give exact measurements, but I can eat a bowl of Cheez-Its a day. Sometimes if I do that for several days in a row it gets to me. Ice cream is out because there aren't too many places where I can get a spoonful of ice cream (which I haven't tested, but it seems small enough). Chocolate is fine. The taste of melted cheese makes me feel sick, but that might just mean I don't like melted cheese. So no mac and cheese. I order pizza without cheese because, even if I take the cheese off, the residue tastes disgusting.

I love pizza's cheese. But not processed cheese they sell in nicely cut packages.
