This forest isn't really inescapable, but it is very large. It takes up more than a quarter of the planet actually, and Cera is not a small planet. Many have died in the forest, unable to find food, water, or shelter from the elements and beasts that dwell within. Many have stumbled across another and have even formed groups, but they usually end up killing each other for one reason or another.

Some have attempted to build and you may come across someone who was successful. The climate is very, moody. One day it can be as hot as a desert, the next day will bring flooding rain, and the next snow. The ground opens up at random to form new canyons and rises up to form new mountains and caverns. There are many exotic fruits to be had. If you know what is what you may actually find something that doesn't poison or kill you. Good luck surviving, you'll need it.

Your character can be any race and have any ability, but make him/her diverse with weaknesses, too.

Rules:
Follow Mene rules first and foremost.
No Godmodding without permission.
To play, post a photo or description, or both, of your character along with your entry post.

Enjoy!

Name: Kaitlyn Jae Blenn
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Race: Human
Height: 5'4"
Eye color: Light blue
Hair color: Black
Skin: White but lightly tanned from being outdoors so much
Info: Katie isn't a girl who gives out information about herself so freely. She is socially inappropriate and has a bad attitude. She doesn't like people and she doesn't have any friends, because she killed them. She's strikingly beautiful and utterly crazy.
Nicknames: Her friends used to call her Katiebug, until she killed them.
Scars, tattoos, etc.: She wouldn't show anyone, but she has the names of all those she's killed tattooed down her left rib cage along with their date of death. The list is very long.

She was running at full speed, dodging branches and plants. She stepped off of a rock with a jump, launching herself over it and an old tree root. Katie didn't once look over her shoulder. Long black hair was tied into a ponytail behind her. Black leather boots crushed anything small enough in their path. Tight black spandex style pants allowed her easy movement, as did her black spandex tank. A leather jacket, dark purple, almost black in color, topped off her hunting gear.

Kaitlyn was frowning, as always, as she ran deeper and deeper into the forest, never looking over her shoulder at the outskirts from which she had come. Over her shoulder a camo-colored and very worn looking back pack was slung and she clung to it with one hand as she maneuvered through the forest.

Name: Avaddon Savoy
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Race: Human
Height: 5''9
Eye color: Violet
Hair Color: Dark Brown with a few strands of white
Skin Color: Pale but his arms and legs underneath the bandages are burnt black.
Bio: Avaddon's childhood is a complete mystery to himself, all that is known about him is that around the age of 16 he was kidnapped by a group of men wearing all black. Throughout the next two years of his life, he was experimented on within a large bright white room that was considered their lab, he was to be built as nothing more then a weapon of mass destruction that killed all his targets with perfect silence. With the two years of training and experimenting, his entire body was scarred all over and his arms and legs were burnt deeply due to the times he had failed at anything, they would burn him severely. After half a year within his age of being 18, Avaddon had escaped from the lab and traveled around the planet to possibility find his past.
Extra: He has a small white fox as a pet that normally sits on his shoulders, his name is Yukito. It is the only friend he has throughout this large world that he would ever trust with his life. He also carries a white violin that is strapped to his back, he doesn't tend to play it around other people other then his fox friend.

----------------------------------------------

Sitting on a large root that protruded from the ground, Avaddon had pulled his white violin off of the strap on his back as he placed it toward his neck before he began to play a light tune with it. His eyes slowly shutting close as he listened to every note he had played to make sure he wouldn't mess up on any part of the song. The bangs of his hair had dropped only slightly to cover both of his eyes while he played, it had been already a year since he had escaped from his kidnappers and even with him running away he still needed rest before continuing forward. Even if this forest was nearly endless and could be crawling with creatures that no man or woman had ever seen before, Avaddon was completely unafraid of death.

The entire time he had played his violin, Yukito had sat on the same root as his tail swayed left and right while he watched and listened as Avaddon played. However, while the little fox creature listened to the melody of the violin, another sound came to his attention before both of his ears perked up. Turning his head left and right in curiosity of where the sound came from, Yukito ran off the root and went straight after the source of the sound. It seemed to be footsteps moving rather quickly throughout the forest, within an instant the little creature had jumped and swung through multiple branches of different trees to go find where he had heard the footsteps from. It had only taken a matter of seconds for the little fox creature to end up hiding himself into a bush as he peeked his head out to find that a female was running through the area at top speed as though she were running from something. Interested on why the girl was running so quickly, the white fox crawled a bit closer to follow the girl since he had known the scent of Avaddon quite easily already, so it wasn't going to be too difficult to find his way back. The fox's bright blue eyes blinked as his ears continued to twitch ever so slightly.

((Ohmygosh if that little fox was any cuter I swear I'd cry, lol))

After what seemed like an endless amount of running, Kaitlyn stopped. She held a hand out to prop herself up on a tree as she panted heavily and finally, she looked over her shoulder. She held her breath for a moment a she listened. She was not being followed.

She let the air out with a puff and continued breathing heavily as she turned to press her shoulder against the tree now. Kaitlyn was fit, she'd had to be. But even in all of her years of hunting, she'd not done that much running all at once.

As her breathing returned to normal, she began to look around at the forest in which she had entered without a second thought. She'd heard stories about this place, none of which she could be sure were true. Movement nearby sparked her to ready herself for an attack.

Kaitlyn dropped the large camo pack from her shoulder and knelt on the ground beside it. She pulled a canteen from it, twisting off the lid and taking a swig. Then she pulled the canteen strap over her head and across her body. She pulled a knife from the bag, still in it's leather holder and stuffed it into her boot.

Then she pulled a quiver full of arrows she'd personally made and slung it over her head and across her body to rest against her back with the canteen. She shook her bow loose from the pack and stood. She only wished she'd been able to grab more things, more weapons.

She kicked the backpack aside. It could prove useful, but it got in her way and she hated it. Just then she heard a small rustling sound and she pulled an arrow from her quiver and had it set and pointed in the blink of an eye. When she focused on the creature at the other end of the arrow, she realized it was a small white fox.

Kaitlyn replaced the arrow and put away the bow. She snorted at the white fox. "If you're as bad as the "beasts" get in this forest, I think I just may survive," she said at the thing sarcastically. She sat on a nearby log and looked around for a moment before her attention returned to the fox. "Don't suppose you'd know what I should do now," she said as more of a statement than anything else.

"Or where I could water, or shelter." She'd slumped forward by now and had her cheek rested in the palm of a hand with that elbow rested on a knee. She realized she was talking to the small fox and raised an eyebrow. "Look at that. I've been in the forest for an hour and already I've gone crazy. So the stories are true." She rolled her eyes at herself. Why was that little fox still hanging around anyway? Most animals darted at the sign of a human or other superior creature.

Following the strange woman through the forest at quick speeds only to remain hidden within every bush or tree branch he could find. When the woman had finally come to a stop, Yukito tilted his own head curiously on what she had been planning on doing. Unaware of his own movements within the bush had been loud enough for her to hear, when she had began to prepare her bow as though she were going to attack something both of his eyes widened in shock as he swayed his own tail at the thought of what she was striking at. The one thing the white fox hadn't expected was when the woman had decided to point her arrow straight in the spot where Yukito was hiding in. His tail instantly straightened and his fur began to ruffle a bit at the thought that he was going to get killed within an instant. Yukito couldn't help but begin to whimper in fear as he curled himself up in his tail. Right when the woman had figured out who he was and lowered her arrow, the little fox had blinked his bright blue eyes as it crawled it's way over toward the log she had sat upon. Leaning forward only slightly, she sniffed the woman for a moment before curling up next to her on the log.

Yukito had only looked up at the woman once as she stated about water and shelter. His ears had only twitched slightly at her words as he had ended up calling herself crazy. Even being a fox, Yukito had been around Avaddon long enough to begin to understand the language that he and many of the people around this planet spoke. Standing back up onto all of his four paws, Yukito had bitten onto the woman's shirt and began to tug at it lightly. Within another moment or so, he had jumped off the log and took a few steps away from her, turning back only once as he called out to her with only a couple of strange noises that had sounded like 'mews'. His tail continued to sway as he backed away from the woman, Yukito had passed a medium sized river a bit earlier while he had traveled with Avaddon for them to get some water for themselves. If the woman truly needed water, he would've been able to show her the way. Well, if she had trusted him that is.

Avaddon by this point had finally just finished his song as he strapped the violin onto his back once again. "Ready to go Yukito?" He spoke up only to get no reply nor did his little fox friend decided to jump back onto his shoulders. Curious as to why he hadn't done either one as he normally did, Avaddon turned his attention back onto where he last saw his fox friend. He was no longer there. This wasn't the first time he had run off like this, so it wasn't too shocking to Avaddon any longer that his friend had run off once more. Exhaling a deep breath, he stood up to his feet before dusting off himself. Rather then going forward in the direction of where he was already heading in the whole time, Avaddon began to backtrack his way toward the direction he was going earlier. Even Yukito had known well enough that going forward without his human friend was going to make it difficult to find his way back, so at least if he went backwards he would still know the area quite well. "I swear..that little guy has got to learn that it's not safe for him around here. He's going to get eaten one of these days." He whispered silently to himself while Avaddon had continued to make his way in the opposite direction.

Kaitlyn had been mulling over her options, deciding which way to head, when to hunt for food, where she might sleep... When the small fox began tugging at her shirt. She blinked down at the thing owlishly. It was so small, and so cute. No. She frowned down at it and batted it away, only her efforts were too late as it had already hopped down from the log.

She glowered at the thing for being so cute. The last thing she needed now were any feelings like those. The world was not cute, nor were any of the things or people in it. They were all her enemies and if they weren't, well they were anyway. She hated everything. Kaitlyn refused to like or care for anything. Then the fox was, talking to her, or something.

Kaitlyn looked around as if to make sure no one was around to see her do this, but she was curious. She stood from the log and followed after the little fox, constantly aware of her surroundings, as always. And constantly taking note of her location and the plants and other useful things in the area. It was habit mostly, and a good one for a place like this.

Her attention was on the little fox as he seemed to lead her through the forest. She shook her head at herself more than once. She really was going crazy, thinking this fox was communicating with her and leading her to some fine hotel or something. Although, it wouldn't be the first time an animal had assisted her in a time of need.

One time before she'd become a sort of, friend, to a wolf who had a broken leg. She hunted and shared her food with the pup. As he grew, he became a sort of a protector of Kaitlyn. They were a team. Hunting together and for each other, and looking out and defending each other. Then one day, food became nonexistent. The days grew cold and the nights colder. Then the day quit coming at all.

They had done that to her on purpose, knowing what she would be forced to do. What she would have to do to survive. And she did. She killed her wolf companion. Ate his meat and used his fur for warmth. Not that she needed to once he was dead. No. Once he was dead the weather became warm, like a light switch. The animals returned and so did the sun.

Once again they had succeeded in making her weak. She wasn't going to let anyone do that to her ever again.

While Yukito had lead the woman through the forest, he had kept turning his head over to look at her just to make sure that she had been following him and not getting left behind too far. Noticing as how she was easily able to catch up with him had made him rather excited since the woman was only the second being to have met that was able to catch up with him most of the time. The first one to had been able to catch up to him was none other then Avaddon, other then these two beings so far; whenever Yukito had been alone, no predator was ever able to move so agile enough to catch him for their lunch. With knowing that the fact the woman could keep up with him, Yukito hadn't bothered to look back any longer as his tail swayed a bit more quickly while he began to increase his own speed to hop through the forest.

Within a matter of minutes, the white fox had ended up jumping off another branch from a large tree covered in moss as he went flying into the river with a small splash. Calling out once more with his random strange noises, the small fox stood in the more shallow water of the river as he tilted his head to await for the woman to arrive as well. All the while he waited for her, Yukito had taken his attention onto the more deeper waters of the river as he watched many different species of fish swam by in front of his face. Lowering himself down only slightly as though he were ready to pounce one of the fish in the water, Yukito reached out a single paw toward the deeper water to see if he could touch one of the fish. Obviously enough as his paw came closer toward the fish, it instantly swam away only to leave the white fox with a slight pout.

Avaddon during this point came ever closer toward the river from a distance. He could've gotten there much sooner before his little fox friend, but knowing all too well that it probably wouldn't be such a good idea to ruin his fun so quickly, Avaddon had decided to take his time to reach his young friend. Unaware the entire time while he came closer toward the river, that Yukito had actually had another person with him. Whether or not this other person worked for the same group of people that experimented on him or not, Avaddon wasn't about to let anyone take Yukito away from him or let alone be taken away from his friend either. From a distance, he had began to hear the distant sounds of splashing which easily gave away the fact that it wouldn't be too long before he reached the river.

Name: Avad Kier
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Sexuality: Unknown
Race: Navid
Eye color: Golden
Hair Color: Black, with a blue tint in the light.
Skin Color: Deep blue fur.
Bio: Kier is a Navid, a cross between a demon and elf that typically is rumored to be from and reside in the underworld itself. Their race is where the idea of the image of devils came from. Their presence is rumored to bring bad luck and even death, though this has never been proven. Long ago, something happened, which was believed to have made the race itself extinct until rumors began surfacing of a Navid who had survived after all of thes years within the forest. When asked, he typically does not like to talk about himself or his past, especially what happened to his people. He is kind and caring, as well as more of a pacifist. His people used fighting only as a last resort, more of a peaceful race. He is honest and open about most things, as well as highly faithful and loyal. He will risk all for those he cares about. His appearance is usually offsettling to most people, so he keeps to the shadows and himself. He has a good sense of humor, and is usually always up for a laugh. He speeks with an accent that sounds similar to german or russian, but can not be fully placed. The accent is typical of his people's language, never going away over their lifetime. He is tall and sleender/lengthy, which is custom of his people. They have a high motabalism, and their bodies typically give off more heat then a normal being. They move with a natural silence, having a tendancy to sneak up on people, even without meaning to.
Abilities: He has heightened animal like senses, as well as strength. He has a prehensile tail, as well as the ability to manipulate fire. He is able teleport himself and objects, though he must have an idea of where he is going, and the distance depends on the weight and the amount he is teleporting. He has the abilities of natural nightvision, as well as to be able to blend in with shadows and darkness. He has heingthened agility, a natural gymnast in many ways, since their bones are lighter and more flexable due to the elf in him. His sharper canines and claws add to his arsenal.

Avad Kier felt lazy today, for some reason the forest was lacking entertainment in his department. He laid back along the branch of a tree. His tail hanging down, and swaying lightly. With a sigh, he looked up at the tree above him. He thought for a moment this prison might be deemed suitable for someone like him, baised on how others seemed to view him. Shaking his head, he sat up. He looked out through the trees, though it was not easy to see in this section. He sighed a bit, his ear twitching a bit. There were sounds off to one side, people it seemed. He tilted his head, wondering who would be out and around at this point. He was silent as he moved through the trees, keeping to the higher branches. His senses were allert, keeping the wold around him in perspective. He was very aware that this place could be beyond dangerous, especially if one let their guard down. He paused as he got closer to the sounds.

He noticed at first a small fuzzball in the trees ahead. His tail swayed as he watched it, before soon noticing the presence of a female, and then a male. They were travelling together? Usually, people here avoided eachother. Anyone and everyone was an enemy..that was the way it was supposed to go right? He ran a hand through his hair, then paused for a moment to look at his hand and his claws. He moved back, pressing a bit closer to the trunk of the tree. He did not mind the way he looked, but he knew the reactions he recieved from others. Monster. Devil. Beast. He sighed, shaking his head, people of this world were very...He could not think of the word in their language. He was still getting used to many traditions, ways and meanings of other races and cultures. It made him a bit curious about the people below. He continued to watch from where he sat.

It didn't take Kaitlyn and the fox long to reach the river, they were both very agile. As the fox leaped into the water, Katie pulled her canteen off and knelt to refill it. She drank some and then refilled it again. She watched the fox curiously. He had known she'd spoken of water. Not even her wolf companion understood her like that. This creature had intelligence that surpassed that of most animals.

She watched him as he tried to catch a fish, but the scaly thing swam away. Kaitlyn walked out into the water than only came to her lower shins, not that it mattered with her boots on. She looked at the fox and put her hand out as if to say 'stop' or 'be still' and then put a finger to her lips to signify silence. They stood there for a short minute before the fish returned and Kaitlyn drew her bow and arrow and without hesitation, shot it.

The arrow pierced the surface of the water so quickly and gracefully that not a single drop of water splashed out of the river. It cut through the water like a missile before striking the large fish in the side. The arrow had been sent with enough force that the arrow cut clean through the fish's heart and out it's other side. Within seconds it floated motionless to the top of the water.

Kaitlyn moved forward and picked the fish up by it's tail. "Is this what you were trying to reach?" She asked the little fox. Katie hadn't killed the fish for the fox, but for herself. She would need to eat if she was going to survive this forest, and besides, she loved shooting arrows. Of course she would share the fish with the fox to show her gratitude, though she would never speak it verbally.

She walked through the water and back to the bank. She could clean the fish now, but that would make it harder to transport. Maybe she should just camp here for the night. The sun was already going down, and she didn't think it very wise to travel with a fish this size. Then again, it wasn't very wise to camp next to a river either. Water attracted, well, everything.

Kaitlyn decided she would gather wood and start a fire, here by the river. She would clean and cook her fish, and then she would sleep in a tree. She pulled the knife from her boot and began to cut the fish down it's belly to clean out the organs, which, she would throw into the river. It wouldn't be smart to leave things like those laying around.

Even with the lost of a single fish had gotten out of his reach, Yukito hadn't given up on trying to catch another one of those slippery creatures. Once more, he had slowly lowered his own body into a pouncing position as his tail swayed slightly slower then it had earlier. A low growl came from his lips as he waited for the right chance to jump out and grab the fish once again, within another second or two the fish had returned only once more which allowed Yukito to jump out into the river once more to try and catch it. Squirming around in the water for only a minute or so to see if he had caught his target, the small fox had climbed back into the shallow water only to be drenched from head to toe in water, and once again no fish. Yet again, the white fox pouted to himself as he stomped his front right paw into the water once.

Listening as to how the female that had followed him made her way into the water beside him, Yukito's ears twitched ever so slightly only for him to look at her towering over his body. Watching her motions to show him that she wanted him to be silent, the fox would end up lowering both of his ears and his tail slipping slowly in between his legs. When she had turned her gaze into the water, he had also done the same as he awaited to see what she was going to do. The sudden sound of an arrow shooting into the water and penetrating through one of the fishes that Yukito had been after caused both of his ears to perk up and his bright blue eyes to widen in shock.

Looking up at the woman who held the dead fish by the tail, he tilted his head a bit toward her words as he had jumped forward to see if he could reach the fish in her grip. Obviously enough, considering his own height there was no chance that Yukito was going to be able to take it away from her. Rather, all else he would end up doing was following the woman back to the bank of the river as he shook his fur to rid himself of the water that had drenched him. Slowly lowering himself to the floor as he wrapped his own tail around his body, Yukito watched the woman gut the fish before throwing the gores of the fish into the water. The rest of time Yukito had remained laying on the dry rocky bank of the river, he had began to get the feeling that they were being watched. He hadn't bothered to move in case whoever or whatever was watching them had waited for a chance to strike, rather he decided to await and see if he could figure out who and where the other creature or person was watching them from.

It had only taken a matter of seconds before the sound of splashing water had come to a complete stop. Instantly, Avaddon had stopped in his tracks before moving forward any longer. Normally when his fox friend had ran toward the river to splash around, it wasn't something usual to hear him suddenly decide to stop for no reason other then when Avaddon would finally reach the river with him. The sudden stop had gotten him a bit worried for Yukito as he began to rush himself toward the nearby river. Jumping and swinging quickly around the trees, he began to chew at the bottom of his lip from underneath the mask that covered half of his face. 'Yukito..you better not be dead. Don't you dare die on me.' he mentally cursed to himself that he hadn't been watching his friend throughout the entire time. In a matter of moments, Avaddon had finally reached the river as he landed onto the bank of the river several feet away from both the woman and his fox friend. Noticing as to how Yukito was still very much alive, he had exhaled a deep breath.

Instantly when the white fox had seen Avaddon come out of nowhere, his ears perked up as he called out once more in his strange noises before bolting right over toward Avaddon and squirming around up his leg and resting himself upon his friend's shoulder. A light chuckle was all that came from the male's lips as he scratched behind the ear of his little creature friend. Soon enough his gaze was directed over toward the woman that seemed to be gutting a fish several feet away from him. Bowing only slightly to the woman, Avaddon showed absolutely zero expression across his face. "I must thank you for keeping my friend from being killed. Many creatures around this accursed forest tend to love to try and kill him for food." He stated before a small gasp came from his own lips when Yukito hopped off his own shoulders and made his way straight over toward the woman once again. This time, he had ended up climbing upon her shoulder as he wrapped his tail around her neck which only ended up reaching only half way around. Normally whenever Yukito had done so, it was a way to show that he found that person or creature was friendly.

At the sound of someone suddenly and quickly approaching, Kaitlyn's eyes darted to the direction from which she heard the noise. She clutched the knife in her hand tighter. When the man sprung from the trees to land a few feet from her, her first instinct was to throw the blade directly into his forehead. Luckily for him, the little white fox ran excitedly towards him, keeping her from acting rashly.

She watched the fox climb up the man and perch on his shoulder. He bowed and she merely watched him. When he spoke, Kaitlyn scoffed. "I almost killed him myself." She almost spat the words as she went back to scaling her fish. Not only was she not friendly, she was plain rude in her attitude and words. She was constantly aware of the man and what he was doing, though she pretended to ignore him completely now.

When the fox hopped onto her shoulder, Kaitlyn gave the thing a side-look and grumbled. He was too cute for his own good, and Kaitlyn hated that. She continued cleaning the fish without forcing the fox away from her, only grumbling from time to time to express her distaste for the closeness of the little creature and the presence of the male.

She hadn't expected to run into anyone in these woods so soon. And if she had it her way, she never would have at all. People work their way into your heart and then they die. Or in her case, are killed, by her. She didn't want any part of any of that, anymore. When she was done scaling the fish, she stood. All she needed to do now was gather some wood and start a fire. If the fox hung around, she'd still share her fish with him, though she would pretend not to want to.

Right at the moment when the woman had spoken on how she almost killed Yukito, he hadn't bothered to respond a single word to her. At those words, it made it quite difficult to accept as to how Yukito had actually considered the woman to be friendly in anyway. It was more then obvious enough in her words that she meant what she had said, most likely if she had wanted to she would've simply killed the white fox within an instant. However, if that was the case Avaddon wouldn't had waited a single moment to come over and snap the woman's head off of her shoulders. Watching as how Yukito hadn't bothered to budge from the woman's shoulders, Avaddon had kept his distance from the woman before crossing his arms lightly. "Looks like someone has taken a liking to you. What are you doing all the way out here anyway? Doesn't look like your out here just for pictures." He hadn't expected the woman to actually give an answer to his question considering how rude she was already acting. The was nothing more then instinct that had caused him to ask her, normally Avaddon wouldn't speak to the people he wouldn't know if they were friendly or not. However, with Yukito being so kind to the woman, he had thought that it was worth a try to speak to another person after so long.

By the time the woman had finally finished gutting the fish, the white fox had still remained upon her shoulders as he had began to sway his tail once more behind her. Turning his head only slightly over to look at her face, he began to call out to her as he pawed at her cheek softly on what she was going to do next. The only time he had decided to look back at Avaddon was when he asked the woman a question, even though it hadn't shown on the white fox's face or actions, Yukito was also quite curious about the reason to why the woman was out in the forest. However, in any case he was always curious about everything he didn't know.

((Lol of course it makes sense. ^^))

When the man spoke again, Kaitlyn gave him a look as if to question why he was still there. Of course, why wouldn't he be? He surely wouldn't leave his fox friend behind now would he? Her immediate thought was that it was none of his business why she was here. Plus, she didn't owe him an explanation. She had half a mind to flip him the bird and go on her way. But then she had a sudden flash of a thought that really annoyed her.

She didn't have to push people away anymore. She didn't have to kill anyone ever again. She frowned and told herself to shut up. Just because she wasn't the one killing people, didn't mean they would stick around. Still, her own thoughts had thrown her off enough to give the man at least some sort of response, smart-assed as it was.

"Oh, only came to the forest of doom to make new friends and find a new pet," she nudged the fox with her cheek and gave the man a overly sweet and painfully fake smile. "Looks like it's been my lucky day." Kaitlyn's fake smile immediately vanished. She moved around the area gathering enough wood to cook the fish, and heaped it into a pile.

She glanced at the fox on her shoulder remembering he had led her to water when she asked. "You wouldn't happen to carry any matches in that fur coat now would you?" she asked it almost sarcastically. What? It was worth a shot.

Noticing the look the woman gave Avaddon, he would only end up raising a single brow in curiosity of what she had given him that look for. He had simply asked her what reason for her being out here was. At first, since there had been no response from the woman he would only end up exhaling a mental sigh that she had decided not to answer him. Right before he was about to call out to Yukito to come back over to him so that they could leave the woman alone since it was what she seemed to want, she had spoken up. Even if it was kind of a smart-ass response toward his question, it was still something rather then staying completely shut. Keeping a single brow raised toward her response to his question, he could only close his eyes and shake his head. Being experimented on throughout most of his life and trained ruthlessly to become a cold-blooded killer, it wasn't difficult to notice the fake smile that came across her lips. "Real joker, aren't you?" His tone still remaining without any real emotion as he watched how the woman began to make her way around the area to gather some firewood. His gaze never moved from the woman only to make sure that she wasn't going to end up killing Yukito.

By the time she had returned to the bank of the river with a pile of wood placed in one area. She seemed to had asked his fox friend to see if he had any matches on him. Most people would normally think that it was silly for a random animal to be carrying around supplies such as matches, but it was rare for anyone to actually start wondering about the strange color of what Yukito was for a fox. "You know what to do Yukito." Were the only last words that were heard from Avaddon before the small white fox had his ears twitch lightly over toward the woman's words as well as Avaddon's.

Quickly enough, Yukito had ended up hopping off the woman's shoulder as he made his way over toward the pile of wood the woman had came after. Pawing at it lightly for a moment as though he had been playing with it, the white fox soon opened his small mouth as he blew out a few small sparks of ember onto the wood. The pawing had been nothing more then a way for him to check if the wood had been too wet to make any flames. Soon enough the small embers that had came from his lips began to grow as it spread onto the other pieces of wood. Turning his back to the pile of wood, he began to fan at it lightly with his tail before the fire was finally beginning to grow to a steady flame. Instantly the fox had hopped back onto the woman's shoulder as he curled up against her shoulder for warmth. Normally whenever Yukito and Avaddon had camped out in the forest, he would have to curl up close to the flame for warmth due to Avaddon not having much body heat for a normal human. It was mostly due to the bandages that covered most of his body and underneath being nothing more then a charcoaled body.

Avaddon at this point came only close enough toward the fire as he sat himself down across from the flame with his back toward the river. Night was slowly spreading across the forest and even being a killing machine, he needed rest before continuing on his journey. He was in no rush to get anywhere, there was no telling if his history about his childhood was truly even still out there on the planet somewhere. For all he knew, Avaddon could've simply been traveling around for nothing. "Guessing with that little comment of yours. Means your not really going to give me a straight answer about what your doing out here, huh?" Were his last words as he kept his gaze mostly on Yukito the entire time the woman would be there.

He tiltes his head, swaying his tail slightly. He wondered what was going on down there. He was hearing parts of it, but at the moment he was in no hurry to make his presence known. He kept to the trunk of the tree, and staying close to the branch. He watched them in the darkening area, his eyes adjusting to the lack of light. It was not hard to keep mostly still and quiet, but his tail seemed to have a mind of its own. It swayed lazily side to side. Their tails never seemed to really sit still, he wondered if that was a force of habit or nature. Shaking his head, he lightly shifted to a more comfortable position, moving slowly, so that he would not give away his position. He wondered what else was out there, what knew of the presences centered around this area. Would something come? There was one way to see.

Con sat up as the night sky began to cover the sun, it was funny to think that he was considering making himself known if not already. The man soon found a large rock to lean on facing the open camp, with more people arriving he couldn't be sure on what they were doing, with out approaching them so he would sit and watch anyways this was some of the most entertainment he got out here that wasn't hunting.

The night sky would soon cover the sky only letting parts of the sky shine as stars, it was one of the best things about being out here to Con, was the way the stars looked but he knew with the night sky. The larger creatures though would soon come out to play, with the creators of the day.

"Huh?" Kaitlyn watched the little fox paw at the wood. Before she knew it, the little guy was breathing fire and her wood was burning. Ask and you shall receive indeed. This little guy was something special, but what exactly was that? When the man sat across from her in front of the fire, Kaitlyn groaned.

She fashioned a rotisserie out of sticks and placed the fish over the fire. There was enough for the three of them, and then some, the fish was so large. Kaitlyn more than likely would not offer the man food, but if he asked or just helped himself, she wouldn't deny him that. As the fish cooked, she took her own seat on the other side of the fire from the man.

Of course she wasn't going to tell him why she was out here. First of all, it wasn't any of his business. Second of all, she didn't want to talk about it, ever again. She crossed her arms across her chest and side-eyed the fox again. She didn't mind his company, though she would never admit it. But, his company meant his friend's company, too.

Blue eyes that always seemed to stand out against her black hair met Avaddon's. "What is he?" she asked, questioning the fox and his abilities. She'd never seen anything like him before. She'd have also asked about his bandaged, since she was slightly curious, but she didn't, and probably never would. It wasn't her business and really, she didn't care. The more you learned about people the harder it was to keep from develop a relationship with them, or even caring for them.

Something caught her eye. She wouldn't have seen it at all probably, but she'd been scowling at Avaddon and something behind him seemed to be moving in a strange way. Kaitlyn couldn't tell what it was exactly, but it was swishing, back and forth is sporadic movements. She kept the information to herself, but didn't take her eyes off of the swishing thing. What did it belong to? A hungry beast perhaps? Kaitlyn would not be caught off guard.

Sitting in front of the roaring fire and still not receiving an answer to his question for the reason to why the woman had been out and about around this large forest. Avaddon hadn't bothered to say another word about his question toward her as he simply watched as how she stuck the large fish that she had been gutting the entire time through a stick and let it cook by the fire. It had taken quite a bit of time but eventually while the fish had cooked, the scent was easily able to be smelled throughout the small campsite. Noticing as how the woman had decided to eye Yukito who continued to remain upon her shoulders, Avaddon had taken his gaze away from his fox friend for the time being as he stared into the flames in front of him.

It was to be expected with the utter silence other then the small crickets throughout the forest that Avaddon was able to hear and the sight of flames before him that had caused him to begin daydreaming to himself for a bit. The sight of the roaring flames began to bring back painful memories of his life while he had been captured and experimented on. Slowly enough, he began to clench down onto both of his palms tightly as the soft yet noticeable sounds of cracking was easily heard. The cracking sounds were none other then the charcoaled skin of his underneath the bandages that had been shedding only to reveal even more charcoaled skin underneath those that had peeled off.

However, right when the voice of the woman had come up. Avaddon had quickly blinked as he lifted his head up to look into the eyes of the woman before him, she had ended up asking him about Yukito and what he was. Staying silent for a moment, he had eyed his own fox friend who was already fast asleep by this point. "I can't really say I know myself...the only real thing I do know about him is that he can breathe small flames. I found him in a log all dirtied up from head to toe. I'm not too sure if he even has any other abilities besides the fire." Were the only words that Avaddon had given to the woman about Yukito. Truthfully, it was all he really even knew about his small fox friend; if he had known more he wouldn't had minded telling the woman more about him. There wasn't anything wrong in what he saw of telling her about the fox.

Unaware while he spoke with the woman, that the two of them had been watched by another presence nearby. Avaddon had only noticed as how the woman seemed to look past him as though there was something that had caught her attention behind him. Raising a brow, he hadn't bothered to turn and look at whatever she had her gaze upon only in case that it was a trick to have him turn his back upon her. Everyone and everything that lived upon this planet knew all too well that those who were weak enough if not foolish enough to trust another being with their lives would end up getting themselves killed one day. The only thing Avaddon had trusted at this point was Yukito and nothing nor anyone else. "What is it that your looking at?" Were the last words to escape from his lips as his tone had lowered down to nothing more then a soft whisper for only those around the flame to be able to listen to.

He paused, hs tail stopping. He notced the changes within the ones he was watching. Had they noticed him? He slowly moved back on his branch a bit. Not moving his eyes, he kept to the shadows the trees gave him, moving up into a more shielded part of the tree, then over to one nearby. He kept quiet, careful not to disturb the leaves that threatened to give away his position. He could always have teleported, but he was sure that would give away something, as well as he was still curious about the two of them. They seemed to be wary of eachother, by the way their bodylanguage was speaking. At the same time, they sought company in eachother. It was odd indeed. He was curious to learn more about the odd creatures. He believed they were human, but looks could always be decieving here. As for the little fox thing, that was another mystery. He paused for a moment after moving for a bit in silence to conciel his location once more. He was hoping this would not get dark, he was not looking for a fight or to hurt anyone at all.

Kaitlyn heard the crackling sounds. She assumed they were from the fire, but something about them seemed, different. Were they the fire? When he replied, she merely nodded, still watching the strange thing beyond him. He seemed to notice she hadn't been looking at him, but past him. Her eyes flicked to his for a moment, "There's something there, in the trees." But when she returned her eyes to the tree, it was gone.

How strange. But not concerning to her. If it had been a hungry animal, it would have attacked them by now. They seemed to be no threat, seated by the fire. "It's gone," was all the more she said of the matter. The sun was far enough behind the trees and down the horizon that the temperature had dropped, though not to a chilling level. They would have been just fine without the fire, but she was cooking.

With each passing minute the starts twinkled brighter, signifying that it was about time to eat and take to the trees, if not leave this area all together, for the fire and smell of fish was sure to attract company. Kaitlyn moved the fish off of the fire. It was perfectly done. She pulled a piece from the side and then a piece from that and waved it in front of the little fox's nose.

She glanced back to that spot in the trees she had been watching before, but by now it was too dark to see anything beyond the bright light of the fire in her face. She ate, becoming ever more aware of her surroundings and the man across from her. She didn't trust him. She didn't trust anyone, and with the night she often grew anxious. Maybe she should just kill him and be done with it all now.

Right at that moment when the woman had spoke about there something hiding itself within the trees on the other side of the river behind him. Avaddon had only leaned himself backwards a bit as he turned his head just slightly over his shoulder to take a small glance at the area behind him. If what the woman said was true, if a creature or person that lurked within the shadows decided to jump out and attack him from behind he would easily be able to counter without a second to spare. Due to his vision being slightly blocked since the darkness was slowly consuming the land before them as well as his back was still turned to the trees, he hadn't realized when the presence had ended up leaving.

Right as the woman spoke up about how whatever it was that was hiding in the trees had now vanished, Avaddon raised a brow as he returned his gaze onto the woman in front of him. Was this some sort of joke or a way to distract him so that she would be able to catch him off of his guard, either way to him it wasn't something he enjoyed too much. Even if the woman was trying to play tricks on him for the moment, he had decided to play along for the time being in case what she had seen was truly there or not. "Probably just a creature looking for food. You are cooking that fish right in the open after-all. It was sure to attract something or someone sooner or later." He informed before noticing as how the fish had finally come to a complete roast as he watched how the woman took a piece of the fish to try and feed Yukito.

The white fox who had been sleeping soundly throughout the whole time had his nose twitch lightly as his tail quickly rose up from once being curled up around himself. Both of his ears perked straight up at the scent of roasted fish as he reopened his bright blue eyes only to find that the woman was trying to find him a piece of food. Reaching out with his two front paws, Yukito had ended up grabbing the piece and nibbling onto it while he remained on her shoulders. By the time the fox had finished the piece of fish, he instantly ended up calling out to the woman in a more excited and joyed tone. Leaning against the woman's head he began to nuzzle himself to her cheek as he found her much more friendly. All the while a light chuckle was easily heard from Avaddon's lips. "He sure has taken a liking to you now." Were his last words as he shook his head lightly to the woman. "Well either way, no matter how long you've been out here. If you have gotten this far into the forest. Its no doubt that by now, you've already realized that traveling in the darkness isn't the smartest plan. Creatures lurk around these areas..that even the strongest of people couldn't hope to defeat." He informed before reaching a single hand forward into the flame as he had grabbed onto some pieces of the wood to move them over toward their other side to make sure the flame would burn all the wood into just plain ash and force it to go out. After all the punishment Avaddon had gone through, the light flames of a small campfire had no affect on his arms or bandages.

Kaitlyn gave a "hmpf" at the man's statement of the fox taking a liking to her. That wasn't what she was going for. She wasn't trying to befriend anyone or anything. It was just so hard to be mean to something so tiny and cute. She hated it, but couldn't turn him away. He was mysterious, intriguing and adorable. Quite a combination.

Even the strongest of people couldn't hope to defeat? Talk about fighting, surviving or other things of the sort, and you'll have Kaitlyn's attention. She pulled another piece of fish for the fox and handed it to him. "I ran this far," she said. "I haven't been here for more than a few hours... What kinds of creatures live in this forest?" She wasn't going to outright say it, but she would be darned surprised if she couldn't defeat, well, anything. She'd survived ten years of constant battle for her life against the elements, beasts, and her own friends.

Although Kaitlyn had become more anxious at nightfall, it had little to do with what she thought lurked in the forest, and mostly to do with those who more than likely sought to find her and bring her back to where she'd come from. She'd kill them all before she let that happen, or die trying, naturally.

He sat, watching the others below him. Tilting his head slightly, he wondered what was running through their minds. About this place, about eachother...anything really. It had been awhile since he had been able to have a conversation with anyone at all, other then the plants, and a few animals. It was boring and a bit odd in his eyes. He sighed, shifting to lay on his back a bit, so he could look up in the direction of the sky. He sighed a bit, existance could be lonely at times indeed.

Watching as how the woman had tore off another piece of the cooked fish only to end up feeding up toward the white fox upon her shoulders, Yukito had once more reached out with both his paws and ended up nibbling onto the next piece in his grip. All the while he sat on her shoulders, he had listened to the conversation between Avaddon and woman. However, the more he sat there the more easy it had become for the fox to be able to listen to his surroundings much more clear then either one of the two humans that sat around the campfire. His ears continued to twitch as his tail began to slow down on it's swaying only to come to a stop after another moment or so. Turning his head left and right while Yukito sat on the woman's shoulders, he ended up scratching the back of his own ears lightly at the thought that someone or something was around them.

From the looks of how the woman had dressed to Avaddon, at first glace when he had met the woman he had thought for sure that she had already been out in these forests for quite a while now. What he hadn't expected to know was when she told him that she had only been out around here for a few hours. Strangely enough that was hard to believe since she seemed to know her way to travel around the forest quite well almost as though she had done traveling like this before. Either way, with the woman's question Avaddon remained silent for a second or two to see if he could listen out for any strange animals that might lurk around. "Well, as you can already see...from my little fox friend there. Beasts around these areas won't be much of only hand-to-hand combat. Some of them have strange abilities of either the elements if not their strength and speed in very difficult to match up with. As for their names of what they are, I can't say I really know myself..all I know is trying to take on one of those beasts within the darkness is a sure way to get yourself killed." He had been traveling around these forest for nearly half a year or close enough to a full year already on his own. He had come across many of these strange beasts before, during the day they may not had been too difficult to spot and kill but during the night it was almost as though they had become more vicious and more blood-thirsty for some reason. It was either that, or it could've just been his own imagination.
