The young woman slipped back and forth quietly, moving gracefully from one tombstone to the next. This cemetery was a relatively peaceful place with large towering trees hanging above the graves giving birds a perfect place to roost. Even when it was winter time a sense of contentment reigned there. Though, there were rumors of ghosts and hauntings as there always were when it came to places such as this. None of this bothered Armilla, she rather relished the stories.

It helped that she was the one doing to haunting. It was such a fun thing to do on Halloween when people waltzed in searching for a heart stopping time, and it was also very easy. Moving a stone, making the wind howl... People usually ran quickly after that, even if there was no malice behind any of the actions. The chocolate haired woman moved towards a grave curiously and sighed. It did get lonesome sometimes. No other ghosts lived in the cemetery, having moved on long ago.

People couldn't see ghosts, and Armilla wasn't nearly strong enough to make herself visible. It took a sense of purpose and strong emotion to do that, neither of which belonged to her. Settling down upon the top of a rather large stone her blue eyes closed briefly. Moving on wasn't an option, since she couldn't even remember what had caused her to remain upon the earth in the first place.

Adonis, a tall lean man of six feet, strolled the empty graveyard. Black hair fluttered in the cool breeze, blocking olive eyes from the path he walked on. Grumbling, thin lips held a cigarette. Small amount of stubble around the mouth area prickling a pale hand as it grasped the stick. Another covering a flame as he lite the cigarette.

Taking a drag, Adonis let out a cloud of smoke. Relaxing under the nitrogen. Taking another drag, the male began walking again. He had just gotten a job in this graveyard. He was an undertaker, but he liked to walk the grounds as well. You never knew when people were disrespecting the dead.

Taking a seat under an angel stature, Adonis raised a two finger salute to the rock. A crooked smile on his lips, cigarette hanging loosely as he spoke;

"Hello~, we seem to be partner now. Lets make sure to protect these folks, okay?", he hummed to the stature, green eyes looking over the green fields filled with stones.

(Music from The Corpse Bride certainly sets the mood for this. )

Armilla's blue eyes widened upon hearing someone addressing her. Looking down the ghostly woman regarded the dark haired man curiously from atop her perch. Tilting her head this way and that the woman dressed like a victorian debutante attempted to figure out what he meant by such a phrase.

It seemed like the breeze made her slowly slip to the ground as Armilla glided down gracefully to stand before this person. "Whatever do you mean by that Sir?" Unseen wind howled trough the trees now, making them dance at a slow dignified pace. Murky clouds flitted forward pushed by these same breezes, yet the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere remained. A few people wandered about, glancing at the stones for names of the dearly departed or simply ambling along in search of some solitary place to rest and think.

{( "I bet it does. Music from the game, Nier, also seems to fit it as well. In a more dramatic way.", Hatter smiled, "Also, sorry for a late reply. But I am back! And with a strive.". )}

In the middle of taking a drag from his cigarette, Adonis jumped. Inhaling the dangerous smoke. Coughing, he gasped as he dug in his bag. Pulling out a water bottle as he chugged the liquid.

Once he finished off the bottle, he coughed into his hand. Making a face. He was sure that he wouldn't be able to smoke for a while now. His lungs would need a break. He thought this, yet he knew he would forget it and smoke soon after.

Sighing, Adonis ran a pale hand through his hair. Why did he get so spooked? He could of swore he heard a voice, but no one was near him. Blaming it on his job and how he lived his life (even a little on being mad), he relaxed again.

Then it dawned to him, maybe it was a ghost? Chuckling, Adonis ponder on this. He was an open-minded man, but being an undertaker, he knew how the body worked. So he tend to ignore most ghost stories and things about the undead.

Looking at the skies, he hummed an unknown tuned. Wondering how a ghost life must be like. Recalling the movies he had seen, even the nicer ones, like Casper, it seemed like a horrible, lonely life...

A disappointed sigh left Armilla as she saw how this man reacted to the mere sound of her words. A whisper in the wind, that was what she must have sounded to him. Now, normally this ghost would give up right there, but something pushed her to try again. Maybe it was the fact that she was tired of never being heard, or that she simply wanted to test herself. Even Armilla didn't know why she reached forward to try and grasp the bottle of water.

Perhaps it was curiosity too. Armilla was stuck in a way. The graveyard rarely ever changed, and each advance passed the ghost by. She didn't know what a television was, or a computer. Cars were a different matter because they sometimes passed trough her home. But plastic water bottles? They were a rare enough sight that she really wanted to see what it might be. With a great deal of effort, the blond woman picked up the object in question with a smile before dropping it purposefully on the stranger's lap.

Adonis was staring out into space when he notice his water bottle started to hover in mid air. More calm now, having mulled over if there might be a ghost near by, he looked around himself. Speaking in a soothing voice, not sure what to do, he mumbled lightly;

"Excuse me...But one of the departed is here, right now. Are they not?", Andonis asked, looking in front of him. Past the water bottle.

The ghost blinked a little before leaning in close to the man's ear so he woudl hear her words. She didn't want the wind to snatch them away again, not after all this trouble. "My name is Armilla, though you can shorten that if you wish. I hear it's the style these days." Returning to a spot where she could face the man, the woman tried in vain to think of what his reaction would be.

For some reason the blond didn't think he would run. That was an amazing thing in her eyes.

Adonis rose a brow as he heard the whispering of an unseen object. Has he finally gone mad? Or, was there, by any chance, a ghost was actually finding company in himself? They do say misery loves company....

Waking from his thoughts, Adonis spoke;

"....How long have you been in these grounds?", he asked. Feeling some emotions such as pity for this spirit; real or not.

The ghost moved forward as if to touch the man, but stopped herself. Fingers trembling with the temptation, the elegantly clad woman returned her hands demurely to her lap. By now the blond sat upon the air, much like one would in an antique chair. It would have been a strange sight, if she were visible.

"It has been so long... A few centuries perhaps? Time passes without pressing down upon me, so I tend not to keep track of such things." The attention of this man, of anyone, made Armilla's voice louder. Someone was actually speaking with her! It was such a rare thing that she wanted to keep the conversation going. The days had grown long without the company of her other ghostly friends, who by now were long gone to the after world to rest in peace and perhaps be reincarnated once more upon the earth.

Hearing the light whispers again, Adonis felt a small smile tug on his lips. Was this spirit from an older time? Growing almost giddy, Adonis had million questions swell in his head.

"Are you a being from the eight-teen hundreds? Or maybe the twenties?", he began asking. His actions being like a child in a candy store.

Opening his mouth again, to ask even more, Adonis stopped suddenly. Mouth open in mid word, he slowly closed his mouth. Sighing through his nose he closed his eyes. Feeling like a fool.

"Shesh, come on Adonis...Your going mad..Your a living library when it comes to the body. You know it is impossible for spirits or anything, for that matter, to survive with out a body; a brain.", he mumbled to himself. Disappointed at his excitement over nothing.

"That's it. I'm mad..", Adonis groaned, letting his head fall onto the stone stature behind himself. A light 'thump' coming from the contact on his flesh on the stone.

His actions, his words... They confused Armilla. The man had gone from complete and true excitement, with amazing belief, to calling himself a fool. Rushing forward to him, the woman breathed out quietly on his face then reached out to prod his forehead. "What a strange fellow you are. Cannot you believe the things you hear and feel?"

Tilting her head to the side in curiosity, the woman tried to make herself seen. She thought her hand became more solid, and waved it in front of the man's face. She truly wanted him to believe in her. A fate worse then death awaited the spirits who did not move on and forgot themselves."Do you see me Adonis?" Lately Armilla had felt herself fading, slipping away. Adonis's belief might be the only thing out there able to keep her alive, or what passed for life where a ghost was involved.
