Planet Earth.

A world full of life, you will find here rich ecosystems where animals and plants of all species reside. There are those however, who would interrupt these ecosystems, tarnishing the very life they had created, causing many animals to go endangered and many plant species to die out. In order to protect the precious life of this planet five special girls were called to act as its protector. They were called 'Mews'; With the aid of rare species they transformed and borrowed their powers to put a stop to the destruction of their world. It had seemed that an alien threat had been working in the shadows, through their team work the Mews had defeated them.

This all happened forty years ago, since then Earth had remained a peaceful planet (In a sense) The Aliens who they had defeated offered to restore that which was lost, now animals that were endangered were once again in abundance. Plants that were crucial to the humans way of life grew back. Working together with the aliens Earth had been restored to its former glory as we know it today.


But there was a looming presence that had entered the scene, one night dark objects rained down from the sky, the aliens couldn't pinpoint the exact source of these "Dark Stars" as they named them, but whatever they had came into contact with would shrivel up and die, it seemed to only affect plants.

This had caused some concerns, but what followed next was what really worried everyone, Plant Monsters. It seemed that once the dark starts slammed into an area with plants all of them would 'come alive' and would target poor defenseless animals and humans alike.

The Aliens, thankfully, came up with a plan; to create new Mews. However Mew power only affected females, and finding out who would be most suitable for the task of fighting for Earth once more would not be easy. And this is where our story begins...

Mew Mew Power.

A special power given to certain individuals that allows them to transform into a certain animal. Long ago it was to only take the form of an endangered species, but now it has been grown so that the user will take the form of the animal that best matches her.

you must have gloves like these at the length and color of your choice and this collar/gem/coin combo in color of your choice.

The Mews.

Characters Name: Machiko "Mochi" Tsukinori
Age: 16
Mew Power: Cotton Tail Rabbit.
Bio/Personality: Machiko goes by Mochi for short, it was a nickname bestowed upon her after winning the "Mochi Eating Contest" when she was 14. She loves to eat and never seems to gain a pound when she does. She is actually quite calm and gentle and has an extreme love for carrots, due to her awakening as a Mew. She comes from a standard family that moved to Tokyo from Osaka, she is a very down to earth person who can become strict, but she has a pure soul and hates to see people in pain.
Attacks: Static Sword, Static Rain, Bolt Beam.
Element: Lightning.
Likes: Carrots, Mochi, food in general, perfume (She can be rather girly,) and roses.
Dislikes: Pocky, Bullies, sprinklers.

Bio/Personality: Just like the animal that she represents she is often cold and distant. She prefers to be in control and for things to be quiet, peaceful. She can often be shy when it comes to speaking because of her gravelly voice(caused by a throat wound) but don’t let that fool you. She is confident, strong, deadly, comfortable in her own skin and very intelligent even if she prefers to not speak often.

Bio/Personality: She spent her early years in france before her father’s work brought them all over the world and finally to japan when she was fourteen. At this time his coworkes convinced him he should let her stay so she could have all her highschool years in one place. She is bubbly, friendly, and enthusiastic. She loves attention and fashion and never seems to sit still… don’t let that fool you though. She is a very emotional, empathetic and intelligent individual… her flighty seeming nature just doesn’t let her show it much.

Mew Power: Amoy Tiger
Bio/Personality: Head-strong, tough and persistent, Che has a tendency to be very competitive and will never back down from a confrontation. She’s a daredevil and willing to risk even her life for friends, to whom she is fiercely loyal and protective of. Her fiery nature can be contagious, as she is more than happy to be a pillar of strength for others.
Che was always “one of the guys” growing up, never afraid to get dirty or roughed up and always willing to prove she was just as good as any of them. Now a high school senior, she’s changed little. Sitting comfortably at the top of the track team and rising in the ranks of the school’s judo club, she’s just as tomboyish and enthusiastic as ever. She also still loves dressing in male’s clothing, snubbing anything feminine her mother still desperately tries to thrust on her.

Mochi looked up at the building as she approached the school, it had been two days since her Mew power was revealed to her. It was funny because now she would have bazaar cravings for carrots, before she didn't care for them all that much. She quietly walked with her bag in front of her she had to avoid looking at the grass since rabbits would eat grass too.

She remembered how she transformed too, her hair became lighter and she grew bunny ears and a fluffy cotton ball of a tail, she thought that was adorable. She still couldn't remember how or why she could transform. She was only minding her own business at a convenience store when a voice in her head starting talking to her.

It told her to go to a park somewhere within the outer part of the city where a peculiar building resided. Inside she found three woman stood there welcoming her with open arms, before she knew it she was hired to work as a waitress there; it was a cafe.

Back to the present she had found her class room and sat at her seat in the middle row.

Kinoko sat near a window and stared into space silently. She didn't say anything, didn't look at anyone... just stared. There were many who found this creepy or even snobby but she paid them no mind. What others thought of her had not ever had much weight... after last years incident it held even less as she'd been hardened even more. She only glanced up when someone sat nearby, and only to give a cursory glance. She gave her a nod then glanced away, her gaze cold. She had not answered the voices and instead fought as a lone wolf...or lone cat rather. She wasn't sure she trusted them... then again she didn't particularly trust her new powers either...

Mochi watched Kinoko take her seat, she had been gone for a full year. Not many paid attention to the fact she wasn't there, but Mochi did. When she glanced at her she gave her a small wave and a cute smile, she was being honest too. She knew she was the loner type, but Mochi wasn't much of a talker anyway; she couldn't speak.

The only thing they could do now was wait for class to start, trying to talk to her would come later perhaps via notes or some other form she didn't know sign language.

Kinoko blinked at the wave, which for her was the equal of falling out of her chair from surprise. She had not really expected her nod to be noticed and had only done it because their gazes had happened to meet. Out of politeness she returned the wave and gave her own awkward smile in return. At that moment the teacher began and the boring lectures would begin. She suppressed a sigh but retrieved her notebook and began to doodle inbetween her notes. Frequently what she doodled was the flowers of her garden, her love of plants one of the reasons she fought ironically.

Mochi played with her pig-tails during the lesson, it was a sign that she was bored. She would occasionally look back at the other girl, she could feel it. She had Mew power too, did she work at the cafe too? No, knowing that anti-social attitude she probably avoided it like the plague. Once the class was finally over which was about fifty minutes long she looked at the girl one last time before she headed out. Her next class was gym, and she disliked the gym uniforms they had to wear. She didn't want people to look at her butt which she knew they were.

One thing she noticed since her transformation was that her legs became stronger she could run faster and jump higher than normal, it was kinda neat. She wondered if Kinoko was going to go into the same class?

Kinoko noticed the class's end and stood, glad to leave. She would not be heading to gym... she had arranged to make sure she would not be taking gym again. Why was her own business... only the school principal really knew why. Perhaps it was the same reason she always wore the long sleeved uniform no matter the weather, a scarf, and tights instead of socks now? She had always been conservative in dress but now she was positively nun material.

Accordingly she would report to the library for an extra self study period. She nodded to the librarian and sat with a group of books, deciding to work on an essay assignment. She would hum to herself slightly as she worked, a habit of hers. She did love classical music and other soft musics. More modern and louder things she detested... even more so now. Then again that was true of most loud noises.

Mochi stood at the sinks after the class was over, she was a really good runner, but before she was not much of an athlete. Once she was changed back into her school uniform she decided to head to the library. Mostly because it was quiet and she wouldn't be forced to converse with people there, she was mute and had no way of communicating. She carried around a note book with her though so she could write on it.

Oh hey, that's... She thought when she spied Kinoko, she looked busy with an essay she was writing, she was curious to know what it was. Slowly and cautiously she went towards her, a little nervous since what would she do if she said something to her?

The Library had very few students in it, from what she noticed not many people came here she guessed most of them only used it when they needed to use the computers.

Kinoko looked up as she heard, or more felt, someone enter. It made her frown inwardly... that was one of the changes since she'd discovered her powers. She was so much more aware of her surroundings. When you were already a paranoid person that was often not very helpful. She hadn't been paranoid before but the incident had changed that... She pushed away the thought, however, as she saw the familiar classmate. She gave her a nod in greeting, polite as always. She was almost done with her essay in all honesty... she'd just needed a few pieces of extra research.

(Should I go and put in what the outfits look like under the Mew Power post? xD I planned to have that a lot more descriptive than it its now x.x )

Mochi blushed when the girl looked up at her "Ehh.." was the little sound that came out from her mouth, she couldn't speak but she could make little noises at times. She then took out her note book and started writing in it. She wanted to try to converse with the girls, but she didn't want to bother her too much so she only wrote a simple question and handed her the paper.

"Are you busy? Sorry to bother you." Was what she wrote one it. She had a carefree look on her face and sighed softly. Communicating always made her nervous, so much infact she had not noticed the bunny ears that popped out of her head.

"No...I just finished actually." She responded absently after reading the note, her voice sounding like she was ill as it always did since she returned to school. She sighed at the sound of her voice. There was nothing delicate, feminine, or elegant about it. She only then glanced up, likely to see Mochi's reaction to her voice. What she did spot would be a surprise... bunny ears? So she too was one of the weirdos like her....

Any thought about this, however, would not get finished as she saw the librarian coming their way to put away some books. With a small sound of irritation she tossed her papers in her bag and then threw it around one shoulder. She gripped Mochi's upper arm with her free hand and pulled her behind one of the bookcases so no one would see. She felt her pupils change slightly in reaction to her irritation, looking rather cat like. She took a deep breath to pull her self inward, reverting to her fully human form within moments.

"Your ears.... You need to be more careful..." She chided coldly. She didn't mean to sound quite so stern... but she didn't want the attention this would garner, nor did she think the uncertain Mochi would. She glanced around Mochi's shoulder, being rather tall for a girl it was easy to do so. She released a breath and slowly relaxed. She would release Mochi's arm and glance at the red mark her grip had caused. She didn't always know her own strength now...

"Sorry..." She mumbled quietly. She ran a hand through her hair a moment, not sure what to say now...

Mochi looked at her for a moment as she listened to her speak, she wasn't shocked at all or anything hearing her voice, at least she could speak. When the librarian came she watched as she pulled her hand and dragged her through the library until they were behind a large book case. When she heard her pointing out her ears, she started to feel around her head.

Yikes! was what she thought, when Kinoko apologized she reassured her with a smile and patted her shoulder. She then wrote something else.

"I can't speak, so I have to write on this, thank you. Don't worry about it." was what it said.

She was about to ask her another question when she heard a loud crash. A window on the other side of the book case was smashed open. They were here. Large vines began to crawl through the window and something that resembled a venus flytrap with legs made its way into the building causing the people to panic and run out screaming. It was about the size of a small car.

Kinoko raised an eyebrow as she felt for her ears, a little surprised. She couldn't ignore her ears or tail when they appeared... then again maybe her connection to her animal was stronger. Or perhaps her animal just had a stronger connection to her element and it had nothing to do with her? She pushed away this musing thought, however, as she was given the note. She read it absently. She'd always thought the girl might be mute but never paid enough attention to be sure. She nodded to show she understood.

She might have said something but she heard the sound of breaking glass. She frowned to herself, instantly stepping from Mochi and dismissing her from mind. She pulled out the small gold charm that had appeared to her, and all mews, on the day this all started. She wore it under her clothes normally but it was necessary now. She ran towards the window, pausing behind a bookcase to transform where she wouldn't be seen. She kissed the charm, a dark gray light forming around her and leaving her blackish outfit in it's place along with her ears and tail. She couldn't fight it in here... too many people and chances others would be hurt...

"Hey ugly! Looking for something?" She called out to the plant as she threw a book at it to get its attention. She would then stand at the window, waiting to leap out until it chased her. There was one thing she liked about her transformation... her voice sounded like it had before she was hurt. Strong but elegant, the voice of a singing idol. As the plant turned she would leap out the window and land in a crouch. It would land behind her and she'd began to run into the courtyard to lure it into the open where others wouldn't get hurt. Her attacks were best used in open spaces...

Mochi watched as Kinoko took action, she knew she was a Mew too she could sense that much but as to what kind she didn't know. She watched when she came out from the book case looking different and her eyes widened. Her voice seemed to sound different too, so angelic.

She wasn't sure if she should help her or not, she seemed strong enough but once the library was cleared out she took this chance to transform and followed after them. However she was stopped to a halt when giant vines popped out of the ground in front of her showing rather painful looking thorns on them. "Oops..." she muttered, in this form she could speak and that was one thing she was glad about.

She closed her eyes and a blade made out of pure electricity formed in her hand. It just seemed to come naturally, though she wasn't all that sure how to use these things.

Kinoko continued to run, her cat like speed easily keeping her just ahead of the plant. Finally she reached the open courtyard and slid to a stop. She held the blade of her glaive towards the sky, calling out the word earth. She then slammed it into the ground as she called claw. Stone gray energy ran along the ground to either side of creature. The energy then raised into points and pulled some of the earth with it like claws. They would try to close around the creature like a vice, their jagged rocky edges ripping and tearing at it. The points would try to head towards the ground to crush and rip it. She was breathing slightly harder and waiting for the dust to clear. Had she destroyed it? or at least wounded it? It was her slower attack but also the most focused one and least likely to wound other people.
