Teruki Amano took in a deep breath of the fresh, summer air. His legs kicked gently, dangling off of the chair where he sat. He had thoroughly enjoyed the past few days, spending all his time doing absolutely nothing that was remotely productive. His excuse to himself was that he was getting used to summer, trying to find a better sleeping pattern, but he knew that it was simply because he had no interest in leaving his home any further than the back porch where he sat now. He lifted one hand, brushing his light blond hair away from his face. The boy sighed, but smiled as he turned to look at his friend. School was over now for the year, and surprisingly he managed to make it out and still have someone to spend his time with.

While he was appreciative of this friend, or boyfriend, or whatever they where to each other, he wasn't sure if it would be worth the effort. He'd been friends with this boy only for a while before they'd made their agreement. Teru wasn't the type to care about things like this, but he knew that he hated being lonely, so he would do what he needed to if it kept someone around. When it was being asked of him, he couldn't make much sense of it. All he understood was that he would play the role of this boy's boyfriend. Teru assumed that this would last until the other got bored with it or found someone better. He didn't particularly care what happened, as long as he didn't have to go find someone else to spend time with.

"Uhm... want a drink?" He offered this more to end the awkward silence than out of concern for his friend's hydration. This was the second time they had seen each other in the past week, and now that he knew they were going to be with each other for a while, he didn't want to start things off badly. Teru's parents were away for a few days, and had agreed to let the two boys stay there alone only because Teru rarely got himself into trouble, and he'd agreed to at least one phone call each day. Now that his parents were gone and they were together, he didn't know what to do. The boy shifted his weight awkwardly in his seat, glancing away for a moment, hoping that how strange he felt wasn't as obvious to the boy beside him as he thought.
