And I did-! Tho it was a close thing, lolol!
Apparently there was an incident with the trains in Ghent, which caused a bunch of trains to change tracks... so I got on (what I thought) was the right train, only to all of a sudden hear the announcer say it was stopping in Brussels... WHERE MY ORIGINAL TRAIN WASN'T SUPPOSED TO MAKE A STOP. Turns out that due to delays and track changes, I'd gotten on a wrong train. Luckily I noticed in time and managed to switch over to a train heading in the right direction in Brussels. So while it took me an additional hour to make it home, at least I got there safely.

Whew, sounds a bit stressful but glad to hear you made it back okay!

Since I take public transportation on the regular, it doesn't stress me out too much, luckily. Also got to use that extra time to finish reading a book I was slogging thru... so I'm honestly taking it as a win.

Figured out the next avatar i'm aiming for! Of course, as an idiot, I didn't bother checking for rare items so it contains CI's and EI's, but whatever.

Update: bought all of the items I needed for my next oufit-quest over in jewel's dream!
