Sephiroth watched the two of the spar with one another as he and Zack talked among themselves as they made comments about the fight that was going on in front of them. They were exchanging blow for blow, but it seemed very one sided. The match ended and Sephiroth said,"Match end. Cloud Strife you have won. Please step over to the side. Adrian, you will be escorted out by Zack." Zack walked over and helped Adrian off of the ground as he looked at the other male and said,"Alright, come on I'll lead you to the door. Sorry it didn't work out."

Cloud takes an breath to catch his breath once the match was over. He watches Zack help Adrian off the ground who was upset alittle that he lost. And was escorted out grumbling to himself about his lost. Cloud looks over at Sephiroth and nods "Yes sir." turns around and heads back over to the sides. he rubs his now sore shoulder abit before he looks over at the others before looking back.

Sephiroth called the next pair of combatants up and they took to their sides and began fighting with one another. Sephiroth watched as the blonde walked back over to the side where the other recruits were located. He felt kind of lonely standing there by his side as Zack kept going back and forth escorting the losers out of the training room. Looking over he pointed at Cloud and said,"Cloud Strife, come over here and stand next to me." He never in his wildest dreams would have assumed that Cloud Strife would have made it this far. He was scrawny for his age and more feminine looking than masculine, so he was rather intrigued with the blonde haired youth.

Cloud was even surpised himself how he was able to make it this far even he sure didn't look like it. He stretches alittle watching another match and another loser get escorted out. Cloud looks foward Sephiroth as he asked him to come over and stands over. He never thought he would be asked that but he surely wasn't going to say no. He nods and heads over to Sephiroth and stands next to him. He felt kinda nervous alittle as he never been this close to the hero before. Cloud looks over at him and was staring at the silvered hair man. But he looks away before he was caught staring.

Sephiroth smiled as he saw the blonde come running over to him, almost too eager. He needed to leave to help escort a recruit that had lost out of the training room. Apparently the one that was getting kicked out was beginning to lash out at Zack and the guards. Letting out a sigh he looked at Cloud and said,"Here I am giving the roster to you and the brackets. Can you continue the matches when I am gone? I have something to take care of." He held out the clipboard towards the blonde as he shoved it into his hands as he heard yelling coming from the entrance.

Glancing over he could see that Zack was having a rather tough time trying to subdue the recruit that was leaving. Rolling his eyes he took off running to go and help the raven haired SOLDIER.

Cloud looks at him and nods "Yes sir" takes the clipboard after it was shoved into his hands. He watches Sephiroth go and help Zack. He sighs gently as some people was just sore losers before he looks back over. Cloud looks down at the names and calls out the next to names. He looks up watching the two step forward and says "Began." as they start their match. As he couldn't but to get some weird looks from the ones that had made it and wonder why he was there. Like he was special or something. He just ignores their commends hearing some of them. He continues watching the match while the general was gone.

Sephiroth made his way over to Zack as he watched the recruit, well the ex-recruit, getting all hot under his collar. "Look, you said that you understood the rules of the elimination, and then you go and pull something like this. You showed a lot of promise. I was debating on referring you to another group in Shinra, but clearly I was mistaken in even thinking about giving you that opportunity," said Sephiroth as he glared at the other male. Zack stood behind him in the event that the recruit tried anything. The recruit looked at them and smiled as he held out his hand. In his hand was a dagger and in a slot on it was a glowing green marble looking item. "Materia!?" thought Sephiroth as he looked at the other male. "How the hell did he get that?"

SOLDIERS and new recruits weren't allowed to leave the compound for the first month that they were here, and from what they had gone through this far in their training they had only been here for roughly 2 weeks. There was no way he could have gone out, that meant that someone was selling or giving away materia inside of the Shinra building. His eyes widened as he saw the materia begin to glow brighter. He could feel it in the air it was a lightning materia, and it was pointed straight at Cloud. The spell went off, with a gutteral yell Sephiroth leaped into action and put himself in front of the blast. It hit him dead on and he landed on the ground with a thud. Zack sprang into action a second later and subdued the recruit and then the other guards came and escorted the recruit out by gunpoint. Zack then came over to Sephiroth and rolled him over, checking the man for injury. Finding none, he looked at the recruits that had stopped fighting and said,"What are you all waiting for, continue."Zack knelt down and took Sephiroth under his arm and began leading him out of the training room and towards the clinic where he would be treated.

Cloud had an hard time trying to focus on the matches. another recuit had lost which he bother escorting himself out he knew better not to make Sephiroth madder.The recuit already had his hands full with the ex-recuit. Cloud looks over time to time again after calling out another two people after writing down the winner of the other match. He didn't know how serious things was getting before he looks over seeing the ex-recuit had Materia on him. That made the people who was fighting stop to see that.

The blond hair man would froze there when he seen the male aimming the lightning materia at him. As there was no way you could dodge any kind of materia..well maybe biziard kinds. He was even more shock when Sephiroth than anyone else in the room when he saw him taking the hit. Cloud gasp and was worried about him to shock to say anything. He bents down to check him when Zack came over and watched the raven hair roll him over to check on him. He stands back up once after Zack told continue. He turns back over at them "You heard what he said continue says." As the matches began again while he watch Zack taking Sephiroth out. I hope he is ok he thought to himself as he was really worried about him.

Sephiroth, who had fallen unconscious almost as soon as he got hit, woke up in a soft bed in the clinic. "Where am I?" asked Sephiroth as he looked around. He then eyed Zack who was sitting next to him. Zack smiled at him and then got up and pushed him back down onto the bed."You're in the clinic. Everything is fine, but damn Sephiroth, why did you have to go and play hero. That's my job afterall,"said Zack with a laugh as he looked at his friend. "Are the training matches still going on?" Zack nodded his head and explained to the General that Cloud Strife, the one that he had named before, was still doing the matches, and that they should be over with soon. "I think I will stay here then. I do believe we owe that man a thank you dinner or something. How about tonight?" Zack nodded his head as he flagged over another recruit that was standing near the door to go and tell Cloud that he would cordially invited to dine with the two of them.

Cloud watches as the last and final match had won and the ex-recuit was taking out. "Well I guess that about does it.." as it did feel pretty good to be in charge. But he still wasn't sure what was so special about him doing it but he didn't ask nor complain. But it did left a few recuits that won abit jealous. He looks over before turning around as an recuit had told him he invited to join Sephiroth and Zack for dinner. He was surpised to hear that but after all he did help out so it was nice of them to do so. He nods and told the recuit he would be honor to have dinner with him. While the rest of the recuits head toward their rooms to relaxed before they go to dinner. Cloud decide he better go his room and wash up he surely wasn't going to dinner like this.

Sephiroth, with the aid of Zack, finally managed to get to his room. He bid adieu to the other male and told him that they would be meeting cloud at the Sky Terrace in about an hour. Zack nodded and then went to go clean up himself. Sephiroth went to his bathroom, stripped down, and then went to take a shower as he cleaned all of the sweat and dirt off of his body. He briefly wondered how someone, a recruit no less, was able to get a materia of that level. Judging from what he had been hit with it was a mastered materia of the Lightning 3 variation. How had a recruit gotten something that powerful. That was something that he would have to deal with tomorrow. As of right now he was going to have dinner with a good friend of his and someone that had helped them a lot. He wished that he could choose SOLDIER members himself, but that wasn't up to him. It was up to President Shinra and his son Rufus.

Walking out of the shower he dressed and brushed his long silver hair a few times until the tangles were out as he went to the Sky Terrace to wait on his other two friends. The Sky Terrace was a dining hall that served 4 star gourmet food. This place was only reserved for upper management people and special guests.

Thoughs of what happen eariler during the matches. Cloud wonders if this wasn't a start of something. Lately its been very quiet around Shinra so this surpise that an recuit anyone that matter at an low level would have something that powerful. Cloud sighs deeply and wonder if Sephiroth didn't step in sooner he would be dead. So one thing he would do was to thank him once he gotten to dinner. He gets out of the shower and drys himself off as he got dress.

A few mins later before the hour was up he finally reach to the Sky Terrace. He looks around seeing how nice this place was. "Woah.." says to himself. He never been in an place like this before of course he never been asked to have dinner with someone before either. He takes an deep breath and looks around seeing Sephiroth was already here. he was glad he was ok and walked over to him "Hello sir. How are you feeling?"

Arriving at the Sky Terrace about 20 minutes early, he told the head waiter that he wanted a special table set out for the three of them near the window. He nodded and immediately went to go and get the table ready. He spotted Zack who arrived 10 minutes early, and they talked about Cloud and the new recruits. Zack went and took the roster back from Cloud Strife and deposited it in his room. They would split the group from there into two groups so that each one of them could teach a group.

Turning he looked at Cloud and smiled as he came to join the two of them. "Hello there, Cloud. I am doing much better thank you," said Sephiroth as he took the blonde had and led them to the table that the head waiter had put together for them. There were candles already set out, and place settings for 3 people. Walking to one of the chairs he pulled it out for Cloud to sit down in as he motioned for the blonde to sit down.

Cloud slight blush but it fade when Sephiroth took his hand. He follows them over to the table which was set up very nice. He just hope he doesn't make an fool of himself tonight but he sure he would behave himself. Cloud nods "Thats good..I was worried. I know if it wasn't for you I would had been dead..the whole time during the matches I couldn't help but to worry. I still don't understand why someone at an low level would had materia that strong. But I am glad you are ok and thank you." smiles moving over and sits down after Sephiroth pull out an chair for him. "Anyway I hope you are happy with the results each of them fought honorable. I guess after what.. the rest of the recuits that lost, had see they decide to complain about the losing and just left quietly."

Sephiroth saw the blush that dotted the blonde's face as he pushed the male towards the table once he was seated. Walking back over to his own seat, he sat down as menus were brought to them. He listened to the blonde talk adamantly about the matches that he had seen, but he furrowed his brow a little bit when he heard the blonde voice the same concern that he had thought of. The issue with a low level recruit getting his hands on a high level materia. It was true that he could have gotten it from home, but the likelihood that it got passed detection until now was not very likely. The waitress came over and asked if they were ready to order. Sephiroth waved her away and told her to come back in a few more minutes. She nodded her head and walked away. Turning to Cloud he said,"I, too, wanted to say thank you. Thank you for rising to the task of helping me with the matches when I had to leave. Also order whatever you would like."

Cloud looks over the menu after he stop talking. But he had alot to off his chest especial the life saving part. He wonder if they was still wondering how someone like that guy came about but they probbly won't look into it until tomarrow. But tonight was different. he was having dinner with two people he know look up to more than ever especial Sephiroth. He would be forever in his favor. He would smiles when he heard that "The honor was mine, General Sephiroth. Hopefully I will reach to highest level but until then I have alot of training ahead of me since I made it past eliminate. As so many of my fellow members." First time in his life has he ever talk this much before. He looks back down to the menu and looks to the waitress "Uhh I would like an medium rare t-bone steak with a loaded baked potato that has everything. And water to drink please" says.

Sephiroth was glad the menu was in front of his face when he heard the blonde order. Looking over the blonde's slim physique he wondered where he put it all. Zack ordered after Cloud, and then Sephiroth ordered as well. "I will have the salmon with the cream sauce and a side of broccoli with water to drink," said Sephiroth as he smiled at the blonde. He listened to the blonde talk. he seemed enthusiastic at the trials ahead, even though they would be grueling. The waitress left leaving the three of them alone again. "Well I am glad that you are so eager to train. It's rare and few that actually come here to actually want to work hard. Most people come here to participate in SOLDIER for the money and the fame," said Sephiroth. "Tomorrow you will be placed in a training group. Either myself or Zack will be teaching you. Based on your eagerness, you will be placed in my group. Zack, typically takes on the ones that have little to no self confidence since he wants to become their friends and bring out their better nature. I on the other hand, sadly, do not have the time or the energy to do something like that. So I only take the ones that are truly eager to learn."

The waitress came back over and brought them their drinks as Sephiroth took a sip and looked out the window, since he was facing it. There were a few clouds, but they were so high up that they could see the brilliant full moon.

Cloud could eat anything and never gain one ounce in weight. So everyone always wonder how much he could eat and never gain weight. Mostly due to his active lifestyle. He place the menu down once he was done and listens to the other two order. Cloud looks out toward the window seeing the full moon. He couldn't help but to smile at the size of it. As it look beautiful especial where they was. He turns back toward Sephiroth once he started to talk. He rubs the back of his neck "Well the money isn't that bad but I'm not like those guys much. I work hard for honor to my family so they could be proud of me. And plus I send them money as well which helps them alot. But mostly its about honor and helping others in or out of the battle grounds. That is why I decide to join. Of course some people doubt that I would." sighs gently. He heard about he would be on Sephiroth's group. He nods "Thank you.." as he was speakless mostly didn't know whatelse to say.

Sephiroth raised an eyebrow when he heard everything that the blonde was saying. "That is indeed very honorable. Sending money to your parents and training because of family honor," said Sephiroth as he looked at Cloud and smiled. Cloud was a rare breed indeed. "If you don't mind me asking," said Sephiroth. "Before you came here, did you live in Midgar, or did you live outside the plate?" Maybe, depending, on the other's answer, he would pay the family a visit, and donate some money to Cloud's family. Glancing over he smiled and saw that the waitress was coming back over with their food. Once she was done placing the plates in front of them he smiled at the blonde and said,"Alright, it's time to dig in."

He was glad that Sephiroth found him very interesting. He was indeed different from others. Cloud takes an sip of his water and wondering how long food was. He looks at him and smiles "No I live outside of the plate...Nibelheim. A small town but of course my parents like it there." Cloud didn't mind Sephiroth asking him where he lived. But it was much different here in Migar than his home town was. Watches as the food was place down infront of them. He nods as he picks up the knife and fork from the side and dives right in. Of course not really dig right in he still had his manners while eatting.

Sephiroth smiled as he saw the blonde dig into his food. "Nibleheim,"thought Sephiroth as he began eating his food. "That's a small city near the Kalm mountains. There is also a mako reactor there as well." Sephiroth turned to Cloud and said,"Are you enjoying your food?"

Cloud continues to eat his food after taking an sip of his water. He looks up at Sephiroth and smiles "Its very decilous. I can't get food like this at the catertina." chuckles gently. As after an while he was done as the only thing that was left was the peelings of the potato and the bone. "Thank you for dinner. When I came here I had alot of jealous looks from the recuits. I think they was wishing they was me or something." shrugged abit.

Sephiroth and Zack both chuckled as they heard the blonde tell the other males that he really enjoyed the food, and that there was nothing like this in the cafeteria. "Maybe we should come here more often. Quite frankly it's a little scary what they feed you. I remember I got rations just like that when I was in the hospital after some skirmishes during the War in Wutai," said Sephiroth as he put a piece of salmon into his mouth as he chewed thoughtfully. The food was really good here. "Save some room though. They have a wonderful chocolate cheesecake here. You have to try it."

Cloud couldn't help it but to laugh as he was glad someone else hated the food as much he did. He takes an sip of his water "Yea the other night they had meatloaf..if you could call it that. I did my best not to gag on it. If I ever ate that again I would just starve." sighs gently. "Hospital food is the worst." He leans back as he watches Sephiroth eat before he said something about the cheesecake "Hmm yea that sounds good..I like chocolate I always had an sweet tooth for something like that. It still surpised me no matter how much I eat I don't gain any."

Sephiroth was completely jealous that the blonde in front of him, as well as Zack, could eat anything that they wanted and keep such a slim figure. He had to be aware of everything that he put into his body since he wasn't so lucky to be gifted with a fast metabolism. Eating some more of his salmon he thought about the cake that they would be eating. He knew that it wouldn't do anything to him, and he hadn't eaten any desserts in a long while so he should be alright. He then looked at the broccoli that was sitting on the plate as well. He wasn't a big fan of it, but he knew that he would need to eat it as well. He wasn't getting a lot of vitamins that he needed to be having. He put a piece of broccoli in his mouth as he grimaced a little bit. He really hated the taste of broccoli, but he managed to finish the rest of it.
