I like it with the ship, but I think it looks boring without the ship.

I don't like the Maccaw bird with this one. It looked to busy in the front. I'm trying other birds now.

That's true, it does simplify it a bit more not having all that extra on the sides. How about like this with some clouds?

I think the face and head are a little busy when all together, but if you cut back in one spot then the other would look good

I believe we've decided that a night theme is best for the "job" we do.
Would you like to be on deck or below deck? As a master gunner you could do either. Either tending the cannons up top, or the weapons and cannons below.

No, we need to decide on a ship name and our story. Plus we still need Roachi's avi and I'll check in with Neph to see if she is done as well. On that front, are you guys okay with my captain? I am open to criticism and suggestions.

I've been spending today researching Celes Paradi, because there honestly is very little information on it. I dug up the old story that explains the goddesses. However, there is really nothing about the Star Eater, except that, well, he eats stars and protects the goddesses. If we do go with being "star catchers" then I was thinking that our task that brings us to this event, could be that we were commissioned to bring a load of stars for the Star Eater and for the aliens. Since the aliens use stardust to power their ships, I was thinking our ship could be the type that aquires the stars and sells them to whoever is buying. Aliens need the stardust, and the people of Merkhet need stars to appease the Star Eater. And I was also thinking that for Merkhet we trade in fancy clothing and jewels, and maybe that's why we dress like this?

Anyone want to toss out their opinion and suggest anything?

As for the ship name, the Dacnis bird was suggested for it's vibrant and similar colors, by you. I was figuring we could give a little story with it how we chose it since it so beautifully represents the merkhet treasure we like and that it is sky-bound, just as we are. So far you suggested Dacnis Flight, or Dacnis Wing. I'm trying to think what else we could do. There is also Dacnis Rising or something similar. I also looked up other beautiful birds, and was quite fond of the green-headed tanager. I tried researching the Dacnis, but there is very very little information on them except that they are in the South American rainforest. Such a beautiful bird, though! Pictures of them are adorable.

ohhhh i super like Dacnis Rising. and that we got our name because the captain is from a small village where that bird is a rare but welcome sight. as like a sign of good luck, and thats why we named our ship after it? and maybe that could be part of our origin story?
