Pet Semetery to this day can still make want to sleep with the lights on. And I certainly do not sleep with the closet opened. Pretty sad for a 28 year old to say that.

I watched Jeepers Creepers with a girl who thinks The Ring is hilarious... I think I'm a bit unphased because of her.

Poet, I saw Pet Semetery for the first time when I was 6 years old. That's probably why I am all screwed up. Hell, I read the book as an adult and refuse to read it after the sun goes down.
The Ring wasn't terribly scary, suspenseful, but not overly scary.

The copy of the book that I have, Stephen King wrote a intro, saying that of all the books he has written, this is the one that scares him the most because it has the element of being the truth.

The circumstances leading up to the child's death. When he and his wife had kids that were younger, they lived in a small town, much like the one in the story and there was a rather busy road there like in the story. There was an event where his son was running for the road and he managed to get him. The book took it one step further with the son being hit by the truck. And the quote from the story, "A man's heart is stonier then the ground."

Poet, it means that men will do things in times of crisis or upset that they would normally not do otherwise. In this case, wanting more time with a loved one, even if it meant they weren't quite right.

Well, to be honest, I think that both male and female can act irrationally under certain circumstances that test their emotions.

True, though poet always acts very calm unless their values are threatened. Poet refuses to break poet's values at all cost.
