What food/drinks/dessert/etc. do you like or favour during the Spring season? :D
There is no Spring here, but a good chicken pot pie sounds good to me!
Feel free to chat about anything here! The question is for anyone needing an opening for a conversation, because there's always something to say about food. ;)
I'll also sketch out quick freebies if your avatar inspires me. :eager:

Hello, bbr! :)
I've been rather tired lately, but that's a constant state these days. xD
How are you?

If it's a warmer spring, I crave smoothies, fruit, and other cold, refreshing things. :D Generally in spring I like to eat a bit lighter, so I'm much more likely to eat salad and other raw vegetables.
I also recently got this box of lime popsicles. It's like, nothing but lime juice, water, and a bit of sugar. SO GOOD. :drool:

In Spring I start craving all manner of fruits. It's a bother because there will be some in the grocery stores that are not properly ripe, being that they're not yet in season, and they're always disappointing. I hate waiting! :illgetu:

Hahahaha! You wish to suffer like Hammy and whoever... that other person was? xD
But I guess... I like to have Cook outs during Spring/Summer. It's the greatest time, ever. Especially, since elephant ears come back in season. :drool:
@ Hummy; Lemonade? I never liked the stuff, even though I will drink it.
Kool-Aid or Cran-Apple is better for the summer these days. I'm also cutting back on drinking Dr. Pepper... *LE-GASPETH!* :gonk:
@ Hammy; ...pfff! Fruit Smoothies = FTW! Raw vegetables = blah xD
@ Belly; Ohmai, true! Even if they do have them in season, they usually have a lot of ones already rottenness or something. You really have to dig or get there earlier enough before that happens. I think grocery stores don't take care of their foods that much anymore since they put the freshest ones in the back and the not-so-fresh in the front. Retarded

Seems fruits and vegetables are popular food choices during Spring! Interesting. xD
They all sound lovely, though. Isn't Spring the time some fruits would be available in abundance, though? I'm not really sure, there are no seasons here so fruits pretty much come all year round. :lol:

Summer is the time I associate with the best fruit, but there are more available in the spring than the winter of course. :lol:
And what is this about me suffering, Miro??

What are your favourite fruits? :D
I like a lot of fruits, although the ones I eat more often are apples, bananas, pears and papaya.

Iro, forever tempting the world with gastronomical thoughts. :insane:
Oooh! Strawberries are great! It's been a while since I've last eaten some watermelon, though. I like those too. I like most fruit, really. xD

The bad thing about strawberries is they don't last very long unless you turn them into jam or something.
And I like most fruit too! I'm allergic to bananas and cantaloupe though... I still eat them anyways. :ninja:

Suffering under art drawings to do. xD
@ Iro; I actually have not ate any fruits at all for a couple of months.
Pineapples are the only things I will eat anymore... I'm losing things I like about food.

How bad is the allergy? xD
@M i r o:
Pineapples are fruits of the devil. :illgetu:
I actually experienced that for the past few years. Chocolate holds not as much appeal to me anymore, and same goes for a variety of other food, mostly dessert, though. :lol:

I'd have to say I associate lemonade and strawberry shortcakes with spring!~
But I don't favour them during the season. I don't favour anything. x'D
All this talk of fruits is making me crave a kiwi, though~ * u*

Not too bad, my mouth and tongue get itchy and my lips swell a little. I should probably stop eating those kinds of fruits before it unexpectedly gets really bad, but... they're so delicious. :gonk:

@ Iro; Pssssssshaw! xD How are they the fruit of the devil!?
Ah, same for me about chocolate. Once you have too much of something, you're done. Period. End of Story. =P
Did you usually consume a lot of desserts?
@ Haddy; STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKES? *kidnaps Haddy~* mwahaha
Ooo, kiwi is good.

Lemonade and strawberry shortcake sounds like a lovely combination! :drool:
I just had some kiwi last week. xD
@Hammy:
Yikes! That used to happen to me when I ate pineapple. Don't think I'm allergic so much as my mouth being sensitive about the acidity, though. :gonk:
@M i r o:
*points up* xD
I'm not sure I did. I think I was always more a savoury person but I did like eating candy and cake. I somewhat lost interest for the past few years when previously I wouldn't turn down an offer to get dessert.
The food I had too much of that I can't stand to eat it anymore would be soft-boiled eggs. I used to eat it quite often when I was much, much younger, but I never really fancied it in the first place. Now I can't bear to even look at it. xD

I'm not too big on desserts either. I've never had much of a sweet tooth. Definitely more into savory and sour foods. :drool:

My mum and sis are both totally into sweet foods, though, so they stock up on a lot of those sweets and snacks. xD
I just make my lovely pot of tea. :)
Also homemade dips and bags of nachos. :ninja:

a shoppe by me makes the best homemade lemonade slushie thingie.
they use a blender with ice and squeeze the lemons with just enough sugar to take out the to-tart-taste.
they do rainbows of flavors, too.
blue raspberry, lime, cherry, grape,peach, pinacolada and strawberry.
i think that is all of them.
so far, original lemonade is my alltime favorite.
but lime/cherry combination is really good, too.
i want to try the strawberry one, too.
every guy i have seen in the shoppe loves the rainbow flavor.
:P

@hummy:
I normally stay away from rainbow-coloured food, but if they were done with natural ingredients that way, I'd really like to try it! It sounds really awesome from yours description. xD
There are not many juice/slushie bars here. The market for them are just starting. The ones I could remember off the top of my head are Juiceworks and Boost Juice.
@Hadsvich:
I don't get kiwi often in the house here, though. xD
They spoil fast, and only my mum and I would eat them.
