I think this event has gone over extremely well. Although we had the day late start, I have yet to face any serious lag on here ^^ Although I really haven't been on much >>;
I have yet to use any candy apples. I may wait till the last day or something. And looking through the store, I just realized that there are no really expensive items this time around.

This event is going to be really difficult for me.
we haven't had internet at home for 3 weeks and i have to trek into uni to use their internet. which is slow and crap :(

i think i'll be ok to get the apples. they're all i seem to get from trick or treating.
it's the event items that are going to be hard.
i'm meant to be working on project work you see. and it takes less time to click a link than to think up a decent reply to a conversation.

plus i'm going away to nottingham to Game City for the weekend and won't get back till the... 1st or 2nd i believe.
so i really only have today to do it. which isn't going to happen.
this is the first halloween event i've been involved in on Mene and i can't take part for 95% of it...

*sigh*
i love mene, and it's desire to get people to chat. But it doesn't half do it at inopportune times.

It's a weekend event in Nottingham in England.
It has talks and seminars to do with computer games and games design. There are workshops to expand skills needed to work in the industry. There's even an attempt to break a world record for a zombie walk because of halloween.
they have previews of games about to be released/recently released like resident evil 5 and lego batman.

there's just lots of interesting things.
and as i'm doing computer games design at university, the opportunity to speak to people in the games industry and get tips and help on finding a job when i graduate is invaluable.

I think threadkillers are awesome. I'm part of the threadkillers guild on Gaia...and funny thing was I didn't even know about threadkillers until I joined the guild through an almost random invite.

Some one told me about a guild on Gaia but I've never joined. I didn't even know about it until someone mentioned it in a thread killers thread I made in the Gaia event forum ^^;
