Pretty good. Very yummy, I made butter tarts and some of my sisters made pies. And the relief that 2020 is over was pretty much universal.

Butter tarts (my contribution), pumpkin pie and coconut cream pie; they were all delicious.

Sounds nice. What's a butter tart though?

The closest equivalent I can think of is pecan pie, but with raisins instead of pecans? It's in a mixture of brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla as far as I can recall without the recipe in front of me.

Hmmm it sounds interesting. I'm not big on raisins but I'd like to try that one day. Dessert is always my favorite meal.

Ah well, I don't know about that. Baking is definitely not my speciality. I'm not much of a cook either. I'm mostly just good at eating things.

lol That's just as much fun. And what's the point if cooking without anyone who wants to eat what you make?

That's true. I don't have any great cooks or bakers in my life. I probably need to bake cookies or something for my coworker though since I baked cookies for his older brother's birthday. Do I just make the matcha cookies again?

Did he like the matcha cookies? If so they'd be a pretty safe bet.

He said he really did, though everyone else said they were kinda gross. XD It's fine, I made them for the pallet of someone who puts 12 scoops of matcha powder in their green tea lattes. I still have quite a bit of the powder left, though one of my pesky kittens managed to snatch it out of the pantry and bite the shit out of the package. I guess it's about the same size and shape as their treat bags but she dragged it across the whole house and managed to get a few holes in it. A couple of minutes more and the bag would have been toast.

Your kitty sounds like a little trouble maker lol, but what pets aren't?

Oh! Maybe you could get him one of those matcha tea kit kats too? To go with the cookies?

All the kitties really are. What's surprising is that sweet Demeter did that not the devil-child, Milo.

Hm, those are pretty good. I could also do chai cookies like my roommate makes because the younger brother likes chai as much as green tea.

Entertaining and exhausting.

They're pretty good. More subtle than the matcha cookies are.

Kitties and animals in general usually are.

They sound like a pretty good choice.

Oh gosh that sounds rough! Here well we're at a stage when some things like gyms are being closed but most stuff is staying open.

I'm doing okay. Hoping that I've maybe got a job? I should know by the end of the week.

Things have been solidly open here for many months but since our district manager won't let the stores close when there are covid cases in the employees, it's become like this. Until this month, we've not had a single exposure in our store, but an employee from another store came and helped out, then tested positive, so someone from our store got it. We're all basically working together at all the stores to cover all the people out so right now. It feels rather silly.

That's good! What job? Do you know if you got it yet? The week is nearly over, yeah?

Oh wow, that sounds pretty hectic. I hope you're relaxing and pampering yourself whenever you can!

I got a job at a big chain grocery store and I'm soooo excited about it! I went for the interview today and got word a few hours later that I got the position.

Also Key is being so cute! lol
