I believe there shouldn't be a limit to how much gold we earn because it's tedious on a day when you want to shop, but don't have enough money, and there are just sooooooooo many shiny things out there :insane: Who agrees with me? :|

The reason there is a limit in the games is so that users come out into the forums and so prices of rares do not skyrocket like gaias did.

However, it wouldn't be bad if one day there every 2 or 3 weeks the limit was raised higher.

As a note in case there is confusion: For posting, there is practically no foreseeable limit on daily posting. Its only the Arcade (games) which have a 500g limit per an account.

I think the currency should be made a little easier.

I think it is fine the way it is right now. No need to change things. I wouldn't want the site to turn into another Gaia with its fail of an economy and market price. Gold-earning's pretty easy (if not sometimes frustrating when Tetrising isn't going too well :P) on Mene if you know the right ways to earn them.

i think Cruelly Beautiful misunderstood that 500g is the limit for everything.

i personally think that the limit is a good idea. if not, everyone can easily get rich without making any posts here, then the forum will eventually become useless - become avatar-based game instead o.o haha

the second idea is good though =D

Also not having a limit on the games will mean more gold in circulation = everything going up in price

Being limited to what we can earn is too restricting. The people who have been on a long time want to keep the status quo. I would love to buy contribution items but for what they sell for compared to other sites values just isnt worth it. Though I really like the items.

Hrm? If you max out every day in a month, you can get an average of 7 sets of the monthly items. That is if you only max out on one account. And trust me, the status quo is forever changing.

and that is because they don't control the amount of gold going into the system - if we didn't we'd have the exact same situation

The cap will always stay, and our cap is very generous compared to other sites - there is nothing about 'status' wandering echo, its about keeping the economy from skyrocketing due to excessive amounts of gold

I love the cap! When the games were first introduced and there wasn't a cap it was amazing how quickly the price of things went up. And the cap was introduced and everything stablized and it was so much better. And honestly, if you post daily and play the games for 500g a day - you still get a lot of gold as compared to the Mene Economy.

But when the games were first introduced and there was no cap people would make, like, 3k a day D:
I don't want to see the hideous inflation that would result from not having a cap and I don't want to have to spend all day playing Tetris just to keep up. 500g is a perfectly reasonable limit, if you ask me.

Personally, sitting through and maxing the 500g on one account takes long enough on Snake for me to do that I'm really not that motivated most days to max out. I like how Mene focuses more on making posts rather than playing games. I think that's one of its formulas for success. :)

I agree that the daily limit keeps the free economy in check. I like where Barutec's idea is going, was about to make that post when I scrolled down and saw it. Perhaps if during one weekend per month there was a raised reward even and/or a raised or dropped daily earning cap.

I'm for the 500g limit on the games. If you post and are an active mene member then getting gold is not all the difficult really. Plus, the items are work the work!
