About House of Elements

oookay... I will start with an introduction first, before starting with the characters ^^

Our roleplay-game is called House of elements and is taking place in the real world. I will copy first what I have as a description already and go deeper into it then ^^

House of elements is a game which is settled into reality but mixed with fantasy elements.

There are some people who are carrying the power of an element inside of them. For first, there are eight elements in total.

Fire
Water
Earth
Air
Wood
Metal
Dark
Light

Some of them are more rare than others, like the first four are more common as Wood and Metal, and Light and Dark are the rarest.

The power awakens while hitting puberty and with sixteen you are forced to attend a school which teaches you how to use the powers you have inside of you. For students it is forbidden to leave the school grounds (actually they have an own land about 3 square kilometres huge) and it is safely guarded. nobody can escape from there.

You have to attend school for five years, after that you are free to leave or to stay.

Of course the normal humans do not really know that there are those people. It is not really kept secret, but it seems like nobody knows or cares. Politicians are happy that there are laws that shut potential dangerous teenagers away. Elemental people (called shortly Elements) have no human rights, too. Somehow it has a lot of disadvantages to be one.

The big circle

Well, to understand what the big circle is, you first have to know what a circle is at all. Sometimes elements decide to work together. Every co-work is called as circle. It doesn't matter if there are all eight elements together or just light and fire, it is always called circle.

The big circle now is merely a myth, but more unknown than known. It is considered dangerous knowledge, so the school keeps very quiet about it. And even if somebody would believe, he or she would never tell. But of course it is true. All 100 to 200 years people with very rare elemental powers are born, only one each. they are classified into the elements Chaos, Time, Holy, Unholy, Psy, Twilight, Live and Shadow. (they are normally mistaken for normal elements, he truth comes out more later mostly) They build one part of the big circle. The other part consists of the traditional eight elements, though there is always only ONE bearer who is born with such amounts of power and the fate of prophecy.

In the past, when the big circle came into existence, it always led to desaster. The combined powers could do great, but there have always been some so powerhungry, that they overpowered the others and did terrible deeds, or the elements of the circle killed each other (and you have to know, everytime one element kills another, big catastrophes happen. The more powerful the element, the more desastrous the catastrophe. Floods or huge fires aren't seldom). The world changed every time the circle existed.

And it is happening again. Some people started to find out again about the big circle and about being a part of it. And they have no good intentions...

Water - Nicolas Rigot

Name: Nicolas Rigot
Age: Sixteen
Nationality: French
Appearance: Nicolas is quite a small, slim boy with straight, long extraordinary turquise hair and light eyes. He often smiles and when he does, his face kind of glows. Mostly he wears trousers made of legere fabric, rarely jeans. Also, he prefers buttoned shirts or anything that doesn't look too casually.
Element: Water
Talents: Nicolas is able to turn into water or ice. He is also able to do it to other humans after being bound.
Disadvantages when using powers: he forgets who he is for some time and is believing everything one tells him in this state
The big circle? he is against it and don't want to be bound to it.
Relationships: He is very close to Raphael, they are an item. He also likes Sylvie as a friend.
Personality: Nicolas is normally a very friendly boy, who also can get very stubborn about some themes. He is someone who it is easy to talk with. He is kind of mad at his parents still, that they let him go. Since at the age of eight his hair turned to its unnatural color, he is somehow afraid to get into touch with water, fearing that something strange would happen again.
Likes: Spring, Raphael, Cats, Peace, Indian Food
Dislikes: Disney (his parents work at Disneyland Paris and he was always forced to work there, for example in strange costumes walking in the parade), Water, Force

Air - Emily Klein

Name: Emily Klein
Age: 16
Nationality: German
Appearance: Emily looks totally plain. She has ash blonde hair that goes straight to her shoulders, but mostly she wears it in a ponytail. She always wears T-Shirts, Jeans and sports shoes. She looks always a bit weak. Emily is of average size (170cm) and her eyes are grey. She looks from the facial features and statue like Manuel, for they are twins.
Element: Air
Talents: She can get invisible or turn to air. also can she do it to objects.
Disadvantages when using powers: She has a problem in coming back into visibility and substance when using her powers.
The big circle? A big no.
Relationships: She is very very tight with her twin brother Manuel, maybe a bit too much...
Personality: On the first look Emily seems as plain as her looks, but she really is a warm-hearted person. She is very silent, soft and hates to argue. Only together with her brother Manuel she gets more lively, the world consists for her only of them two. She is kind of weak and prone to illnesses. Emily hates how her brother always searches one night stands among both sexes.
Likes: her family (mostly her brother), Spaghetti bolognese, comics, plushies, daisys
Dislikes: strangers, loud sounds, fashion-victims and bitches, peer pressure

Wood - Raphael Kaiser

Name: Raphael Kaiser
Age: 17
Nationality: Austrian
Appearance: Raphael has long, straight hair which he wears open most of a time. He has a side parting. The color of his hair is between green and brown, for there are rests of green hair dye in it. If he wouldn't dye his hair, he would have grey streaks in brown hair. Raphael prefers clothes which hide his neck and upper body, mostly turtlenecks. With that he hides three bad scars which can be found on his neck and chest. His eyes are green, and he is quite tall (190cm).
Element: Wood
Talents: Raphael can manipulate nature.
Disadvantages when using powers: He grows more animal-like, getting furry ears and a tail.
The big circle? No, never
Relationships: In love with Nicolas, always in search of Xavier
Personality: Raphael is very turned inward and dislikes talking about his past. He rarely look people into the eyes while talking to them. He prefers to be outside, alone in the nature (or to be together with Nicolas). He is a vegetarian out of conviction and would never hurt something living - except for humans. Inside of Raphael is an animal, waiting to be allowed to follow its instincts. Then he can fall into a real rage and thirst for blood, which only stops in front of people who moved his innerst soul. Raphael is a vampire, made by an outlaw to it, who left him alone, as a child, confused. Raphael was eight years old, when it happened. before he kinda killed his father who was trying to kill him. He can also change into a panther. Raphael lived in an orphanary since the accident with his father but was really happy to go to the Academy for he was escaping the orphanary then.

Metal - Isabella Acciao

Name: Isabella Acciao
Age: 28
Nationality: Italian
Appearance: Isabella seems for a woman quite manly, which not onyl is fault of her body, but also of her clothes. She is wearing her hiplong, white-grey-silver hair most in a tight bun at the back of her head, rarely in a braid. She is wearing a pair of glasses (with window glass in it), her breasts and bellybutton are pierced. Her size is quite tall, 180cm. She seems harsh and untouchable, though when being without glasses and with open hair, she can seem pretty.
Element: Metal
Talents: Mending metal after her will. Turning herself into several metal weapons
Disadvantages when using powers: none known, she is very trained
The big circle? definitly yes, though she is at the moment more the follower
Relationships: works for Sarah and Ray, loathes Maria and teenager in general
Personality: Isabella has been disappointed very often in her life. This made her to a very bitter, seemingly coldhearted person. She believes very litte in the good of humans. She likes to drive herself to the boarders, be it through sports, training of her elemental powers or games of dominance. Sometimes it seems she prefers machines over other humans.
Likes: technics, handcuffs, bonds, games of dominance and repression, papaya juice, sometimes pain
Dislikes: sissys, cold and hot, cant

Dark - Nathaniel Thorne

Name: Nathaniel Thorne / Raven
Age: 18 / ?
Nationality: Finnish / ?
Appearance: Nathaniel: Nathaniel is of average height (about 185cm), has long, wavy dark brown hair that goes down to his waist and has no bangs. His eyes are of the same brown. He prefers wearing black jeans and bandshirts of his favourite metal bands. He also wears a lot assecoires connected with metal music like leather bracelets or stuff.
Raven: Raven has the same hair as Nathaniel, but piercing blue eyes. He wears flowing robes robes in greytones. Raven owns large, black, feathery wings with a span of 18 metres, which he can put out and in of his body at will. His ears are pointed, as are his corner teeth.
Element: Dark
Talents: Nathaniel can manipulate shadows, can melt into a shadow himself (for a start, more comes later). when Raven takes over, he can use some of his demonic powers.
Disadvantages when using powers: When Nathaniel uses his powers, he loses a bit control over Raven, who can come out more easily.
The big circle? No, never
Relationships: In love with Maria
Personality: Nathaniel is a rather soft, but ambitious person. he was a singer, guitarist and songwriter in a band and is rather hooked on metal music.
Raven looks way darker and more evil when he is in his demon form. the reason for that is that the demon lives in him and sometimes comes out.
Likes: Metal, music, role-play-games, Maria, honeywine, night, comics
Dislikes: bitches, fashion-victims, sunlight, tea, cabbage

Light - Leonardo D'Ario

Name: Leonardo D'Ario
Age: 21
Nationality: Italian
Appearance: Leonardo is quite big (195cm) and has long silver-white hair which flows straight to the middle of his back which always seems to glitter and shine. He seems to smile almost everytime (only not when meeting with Colin). His eyes are light blue and shine mostly friendly. He wears elegant clothing and in light colors.
Element: Light
Talents: Leonardo is able to do a thousand little things, like repairing items or something like that.
Disadvantages when using powers: He isn't able to move his legs (or when really exhausted his whole body) for some time. Then he needs a wheelchair.
The big circle? no.
Relationships: an item with Sylvie, hates Colin, is something like a big brother for everyone else except for dark elements.
Personality: Leonardo is friendly, courteous and helpful. The is a prefect and almost perfect as one. He is also a top student but is always willing to help others to profit from his knowledge. Leonardo has extreme prejudices against dark elements, and against Colin in special. He isn't dealing with them much and can be just as hard and untouchable to them as to others he is friendly. He is still mourning cause his sister died three years ago.
Leonardo is normally very calm, only when provoked heavily or something touches him very deeply, then he can get very angry and is kind of unstoppable then. He tries to give everyone courage and isn't normally showing his fears, but when he is opening to a person completely he is also telling his weakest and darkest thoughts.
Likes: school, books, chess, his friends, research work, Sylvie
Dislikes: dark elements, especially Colin, hot food, giggling girls

Chaos - Manuel Klein

Name: Manuel Klein
Age: 16
Nationality: German
Appearance: Manuel has a layered haircut, and dyes it at the moment pink with black streaks. The longest go over the shoulders, the shortest fall into his eyes. (though he redyes them often in other colors). He always wears fun-contacts in different colors, at the moment green cat-lenses. He likes to use kajal and eyeshadow on his eyes and has a piercing in his eyebrow and lip. He normally wears eccentric colorful clothing OR black gothic-clothings (completed with a black long leather-mantle), or both styles combined. He is a living antithesis after all. His soft spot is that he is that short (172cm).
Element: Chaos
Talents: who knows? Something happens sometimes...
Disadvantages when using powers: It just happens. He can't force his powers out.
The big circle? he do not like the pros personally, so he is more contra, but he does not care that much
Relationships: he has a deep relationship with his sister Emily, maybe even more, but he never would admit that. He likes to flirt around. Has an affair with Eff.
Personality: Manuel is really crazy. he always is searching for fun, even if it hurts other. He like to provoke other people. Manuel can be a good friend, if the people come clear with his behaviour. But most of the times, Manuels good mood is facade. He is very unhappy because of the forbidden feelings he has for his sister and he tries with all means to put this down, through affairs, drugs or whatever else.

Dislikes: being earnest, boring people, studying

Time - Viola von Hohenstein

Name: Viola Lara Katarine von Hohenstein
Age: 15
Nationality: english
Appearance: Viola had been called dollie sometimes. She seems very frail and easy to break. This effect is even more there cause she is always wearing a corset and victorian-like clothing cause her parents want so. Her long honeyblond hair is mostly styled in complicated hairstyles or 'corkscrew' locks (I don't know the right english word > < it means those tight spiral locks). her face almost always looks melancolic or thoughtful.
Element: Time (it seems she has some wind element inside of her)
Talents: Manipulating time
Disadvantages when using powers: something time-like always falls back onto herself (like getting older accidently or stuff)
The big circle? A very very big no!
Relationships: In love with Louis, afraid of Raymond and Sarah
Personality: Viola is living since her third birthday in a circle community. Her parents came from royality, but Viola was never interested in that. In the community she was somehow treated like something special, but she would like to stop that in the academy. That is way she always tells others her name is Viola Hohenstein, without the title of 'von'. She is never talking much about the circle community. She never met much boys, cause her parents didn't let her meet them, so she isn't very expirienced in dealing with the other sex. Viola is very melancholic and thinks a lot. Her freetime she uses mostly to be outside and listen to the wind. In her opinion the wind is the only one that would never let her down. In closed rooms she feels uncomfortable and feels often pangs of panic.
Likes: wind, friendliness, to swim, classical dances, nice clothing

Shadow - Louis Maxime de Gramont

Name: Louis Maxime de Gramont
Age: 26
Nationality: French/German
Appearance: Louis is a very cultivated young man of average height. (178 cm) He wears his light blonde hair in a layered and extravagant cut, the longest strands are chin-length. His eyes are sky blue and almost glow a little bit purple. Many people are reminded of an old religious painting when they see his face – he looks like one of the angels.
Louis usually wears elegant clothing, sometimes the latest fashion and sometimes outfits that look a bit historical. He has a golden necklace with his family emblem on it, though he usually hides it beneath his shirts.
Element: Wind/Shadow
Talents: Louis is able to fly, but that is his only wind related power. Apart from that, he can read emotions, later he can also read thoughts. He can create illusions in the minds of other people.
Disadvantages when using powers: Sometimes illusions turn against him, causing horrible pictures in front of his inner eye. He suffers from nightmares often.
The big circle? He has done some research on the big circle and is for a unity, but by no means a unity as Raymond and Sarah want it.
Relationships: He is in love with Viola. He is sympathetic to most of the students.
Personality: Louis is usually a very courteous and sympathetic young man who almost seems a bit naïve in first place. However, if somebody annoys him in a weak spot, he is prone to take revenge through intrigues. He rarely shows his dislike openly which causes some people to call him double-faced, especially since he often uses his brilliant looks to deceive people into thinking he could not do any harm. In the core of his heart, he looks for someone to look behind his façade and see the real Louis.
Louis’ father is a French duke, his mother is a German prostitute. His father took the child, his only heir, to his court and sent assassins after his mother, so nobody ever found out who Louis’ mother really was. Louis had always had a hard time at the court, experiencing a lot of intrigues against himself and a lot of rejection by other family members. He left his family behind since the day he had entered the Academy as a student. At the age of 26, after his studies and some journeys, he returned to the school grounds as a trainee teacher.
Likes: Viola, spring, wind, festivities and honest people

Unholy - Maria Kay

Name: Maria Belle Kay
Age: 18
Nationality: irish
Appearance: Marias hair is black, long and straight, without bangs, worn open. It goes almost down to her hips. Her eyes are brown. Her clothes: at first black, rather torn stuff. shirts, trousers. she doesn't wear skirts or dresses, not many accessoires. possible (later in the story): tartan pattered skirt, black neckholder top, a black pair of trousers with corded sides. once she wore a ballgown in black in a victorian style. She is 178cm tall.

Maria has an alternate elf form, this looks the following: her is is black, long and straight, without bangs, mostly worn open or rarely in complicated hairstyles, longer than hair in human form. Her eyes are still brown, but her ears are pointed. She has a set of wings looking like those of a fairy/insect, transparent black with green shine; She is highly annoyed about them. She wears a green medieval dress, with ivy patterned lace at the hem, possible: green chaplet on head with a long veil over her hair
Element: Unholy (Dark tendencies too)
Talents: Talking to ghosts, causing antipathy or sympathy, later she is able to enter the ghostland. and she is able to dominate people.
Disadvantages when using powers: She gets all weak until her circulation crashes.
The big circle? No, definitly no.
Relationships: Loves Nathaniel, hates Raymond and Sarah (her parents), has a good relationship to Morrigan, who was it that turned her into a sidhe at the age of eight.
Personality: Maria is rather introverted, if not antisocial. She does have a soft core to herself though, which mostly shows when she is together with her boyfriend. She loves to play the violin, and she is virtuose with it (cause of her Sidhe heritage). She is almost unable to see anything in bright sunlight, but can see perfect in darkness. Also is she able to talk with ghosts. Maria despises her parents above everything. She ran away from home in Ireland at the age of 13, so you can say she is kind of a rebel.
Whenever she is using her elemental power (in talking to ghosts or else), she gets weak until total collapse.
Maria is jealous to the core.
Likes: Nathaniel, her violin, no noise, freedom, being alone, the night
Dislikes: her parents, injections, elements, her second name, noise, people, being robbed of her freedom, school, dorms, busses, planes, her wings

Her apperance then: She always had to wear 'cute' gowns, with a lot of frills and bows and lace in colors like pink or white or pastel colors. her hair (it was black, straight and long without bangs already) was braided into two long braids and decorated with bows and ribbons too. She always had to wear knee socks and lacquer shoes. Maria child form DONE!
