"How the actual and entire fuck...?" Summer said as she stepped inside. "It's bigger on the inside. Physics means that can't happen. What's going on here?"

"Oi!" There was a clang and the Doctor came out of a side room. "Who are you and how did you get in here?"

"Used a key." Rose held up her keyblade as example.

"What is this?" Summer asked, looking around the enormous room. "The box can't be more than five by five on the outside, how the hell is it doing this?"

"It's bigger on the inside, I know. I get that a lot." The Doctor eyed them both. "Keybearers, huh? Haven't met ant of you in a long time."

"You... know about us?" Summer asked, blinking. Then she shook her head. "Wait wait wait, hold on, let's go back to how this thing is breaking the laws of physics. How is it bigger on the inside?"

The Doctor grinned at her. "It's from another planet, all our technology is like this." He patted the control panel fondly.

"Wait, if you're from another world, how did you get here? What is this?" Rose looked around.

"This," the Doctor said, grinning and spreading his arms, "is the Tardis. Time and relative dimension in space. For lack of a better term, this is my ship. As for how I got here..." He shrugged. "Well. Slight miscalculation."

Rose blinked, working through that rapidly. "Ship. As in travels through time and space? I mean, why else would it have time in the name?" She looked around again, awed.

The Doctor grinned.

"You, I like you, you're clever," he said, pointing at her.

"Okay, so it's a time and space ship that's bigger on the inside," Summer said, looking around. "This is incredible."

Rose grinned at that and walked the rest of the way up the ramp, touching one of the branches as she passed. "Absolutely fantastic."

The Doctor beamed at that.

"Isn't she, though?" he asked, patting the control panel fondly again.

"I think we might have just found our way out of Lalotai," Rose said to Summer with a brilliant grin. "That is, if you don't mind a couple temporary hitchhikers?" She turned to the Doctor again.

"What, back to the surface?" The Doctor considered it for a moment. "Sure, not a problem. Been meaning to get back up there myself soon anyways." He grinned. "Had my fill of this place." He glanced between the two of them. "What are your names, anyway?"

"I'm Rose, this is Summer. What about you?" Rose peered at him around the central shaft in the control room, still investigating. She was at least smart enough to not go around pushing buttons.

That made him stop.

"You're... Rose?" he repeated, his grin fading a bit. He was quiet, and then nodded. "Good name. And Summer, yes, also a good name. I'm called the Doctor."

"Just the Doctor?" Rose's eyebrows shot up, then she shrugged. "Well then, Doctor, nice to meet you." She had noticed him falter at her name but she wasn't going to press, not now.

"Well, get in here, close the door, can't cake off with the door open," the Doctor said, waving a hand at the entrance.

Summer just pulled the door closed and locked it with her keyblade.

"Right then, hold on." The Doctor grinned and spun a dial and pulled a level.

Rose grabbed on to the railing as the control room lurched.

Summer yelped and grabbed on to the nearest surface as she was nearly thrown to the floor.

It was over quickly, and the shaking stopped. Summer cautiously let go and stood up again.

"What the hell?" Rose grumbled, steadying herself again and looking around. "Does it always do that?"

"What, that?" the Doctor asked, straightening his jacket. "That was nothing. Imagine going all the way across the universe, now that's a trip."

"This thing needs shock absorbers right now," Summer said, cautiously getting to her feet again.

"Agreed," Rose grumbled, brushing herself off. "So, we're topside again now, yeah?" She ventured over towards the door.

"Yes indeed," the Doctor said, nodding once and grinning. "Wasn't sure where you wanted to be let go, so I just took you straight up."

"...Literally straight up? Because we don't have a ship if we're still in the middle of the ocean," Rose pointed out.

"Well, I'm not just going to make you swim," the Doctor said, rolling his eyes. "Realm of Monsters does have a front door, you know. On its own island and everything."

"Could you take us just back to the voyagers' island?" Summer asked.
