I'm pretty sure I should have been dead by now a few times over! However, all this means is that I still have some work left here to do on earth before I'm allowed to leave, whether it was little trooper crow, or your current 90 lbs, disabled, and dealing with a million and a half headaches on a daily basis version.

Crow sounds little even now! :O Crow is smaller than Clair, and Clair is an underweight teenager!

I've gained weight recently. I was 85 lbs. 90 sounds a bit healthier. What can I say, I was born small, and I've been small ever since.

I've been able to get enough sleep. If I have free time it's put toward homework now. Breastfeeding still isn't working out 100%, but she is able to get breast milk. My friends who have been there are telling me to just keep with it, as it starts out rocky for a lot in the beginning. They say by six weeks people should know whether or not it's going to work out. I'm going to keep positive.

The main problem has been that she's given up her pacifier completely and has been using me as her new one, which has inhibited my supply. This weekend (as we're both home and can share the burden) we're going to try and get her away from as much comfort nursing as she's been doing. Literature says to let them go for it, and we did, but she's lost more weight so it's not working. Our lactation consultant says to try holding off on comfort nursing and letting my milk have an hour and a half to "resupply" itself.

We'll see how it goes. Anything's worth a shot at this point. e_e

It will. It'll just take some time. I've been telling myself that. So long as I don't give up, all will be well. :)

How is she? Does she show signs of personality yet? Probably still too soon, right?

She's loving. She loves to snuggle and cuddle up so long as she's not hungry. When she wants something and doesn't get it pretty close to "immediately" she pitches a tantrum to the point she turns purple. :XD

She wriggled up my chest earlier and planted her mouth on my cheek. Whether she wanted something to suck on or to give a kiss, who knows.

OMG! That sounds SO cute, Chi! *is jealous* Clair wants a baby so bad... but first... she's gotta find the right man. :ninja:

She's in the middle of her second nap today. That may not sound like much, but when you have a newborn that won't nap it means everything. :lol: I was able to cook dinner, and keep up with my e-mail... and get through some course readings for this week. Too bad she's not consistent just yet. I can't depend on her always doing this. xD

OMG! CHI! The picture of her in your sig is SO CUTE! She looks kinda like "WHOA.... what's that....?"

She kinda looks a little dazed. Noticing much change in her features? I know that the little baby next door looks sooo much different from when he was first born. He gets cuter and cuter as time goes by. :heart:

She was in the process of doing several things when the picture was taken. :XD She had fussed just before that one was taken, so she was reevaluating things. Then she chomped on my finger for a while, then looked up and around again before deciding it was time to have a meltdown. lol.

Izumi, her features change here and there. I see more of my father and myself in her than I did when she was born, but then she'll pull some expression that looks like Cole or neither one of us/our families. It's going to be interesting to watch her change over and over. xD

Probably developing her own looks in there, Chi. :) The parts that don't seem like either side of the family.

Yepyep. I imagine when she has more control over her facial features she'll form even more. Right now she still bounces between focused, unfocused, cute, alien... :XD

My mother has this AWESOME photo of my younger sister, Anna, at that age, and in the photo mom and I are making goo-goo faces at her (the sorts of faces people give to sweet babies xD) and Anna is staring at her little hand, ignoring mom and I. Her expression is like "WHOA... WHEN DID I GET THIS!? :O" xD It's so cute, it's like she'd never seen her hand before... and well, she's so young in the photo, I wouldn't doubt that that was the case. :lol:

lol, it's awesome to watch a baby discover something for the first time. Especially their feet. First they see them, then they try to catch them (usually kicking like crazy the whole time). Once they have them they must stare at them for a while, discerning what purpose the strange thingies serve, then they work at getting them in their little mouths to see if they can be eaten. lol. Hours of entertainment right at the end of their little legs. Socks and booties add a whole new level of challenge to the game. ^_^
