Hmmm...my soul? That's pretty broad...but I'd have to say Brain Damage/Eclipse by Pink Floyd...hence the username. :) I'd say that encompasses how I feel about most things...and it always gives me goosebumps when it merges into Eclipse.

Huh. Probably 'No Rain,' by Blind Melon.

Maybe even 'Caring is Creepy,' by The Shins.

Rescued - Jack's Mannequin.
Off the top, true.
That song matches me so well.

Away by Rimini Project. I doubt anyone else has heard it. It's not a very popular band(and the rest of their songs seem to suck anyway), but that song fills me up with emotion.

That would be Cube by Gackt. My interpretation of the song is a person who is longing to break free of their closed off world and embrace the universe. That person isn't exactly shy, they just feel cooped up - stifled, if you will. Their cage is to small to spread their wings.

A common interpretation of the song is that it is describing an out of body experience, or astral projection. I long for such experiences - when I was younger, I would get to the very edge of being able to astral project, and then return to my body without even knowing what I was doing. I wish that I would have taken hold of the ability while it was in my grasp.

  • I think Nirvana's 'Heart Shaped Box' is as close as it gets for me. I feel like I can connect to it on sooo many levels.

My Sagittarian wanderlust is appealed to by Dougie Maclean's song, Caledonia. It's the sort of song I put on when I need to think deeply. And I sometimes find myself singing the lyrics when I need to explain how I'm feeling on a certain day to my boyfriend. He gets it.

Othertimes by Elvendrums, it's a very deep song and has a deeper meaning for me. It's one of the very few songs that completely pulls at my heart and soul whenever I listen to it.

That's a very hard question for me to answer, my soul is many colours.

Although mostly I think "All The Way Down" by Biffy Clyro.
Here's a live version on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj63IvFVsg4

I feel a connection to the lyrics, they're very emotional, but still ambiguous enough for me to apply it in my own way to my own life. The music itself is amazing- the dynamics and build just blow me away every time I hear it.

But also I have an emotional connection to the song. This band, Biffy Clyro, have only just really hit fame in the UK this year, but they've been one of my favourite bands for years.
Anyway, a couple of years ago, they played Preston, my home town, and my best friends band played their support act. I was so proud of them, I got a bit tearful at the end of their set.
Then when Biffy got on stage and unexpectedly played this song (it's my favourite, but definately one of their lesser-known tracks), I just cried like a girl!

The band are really nice guys, too- I found them really easy to talk to, which is definately something you want in a band.

(Phew! That was a long, rambling post! But that song really does touch my soul!)

I don't know really know if
I have a song that represents my
soul, but I'm sure Sweet Surrender
by Sarah Mclachlan could possibly be it.
