Hm... We should do an experiment. Take you, and someone else, put a piece of glitter on a table equidistant from both of you and see if it magnetically attracts to you. >.<
Yeah... and if you don't get an eye infection you spend 3 hours trying to get it out of your eye and 2 hours getting it off your finger, and a week getting it off whatever you get it off you entirely.
zigbigadorlube: Yeah, I did. I've been really uninspired lately and just was all "I want to go to the beach but not really." So that's what I ended up with.
Unfortunately, I have to take it off tonight because I completely forgot that I have an interview tomorrow. Dx
Poet: Ah, my eye infection literally happened overnight. Work me up at 4:00am and it was agony. Went to the eye doctor right away and got some antibiotic drops. I don't think there was anything in there really, just a scratch from the glitter itself.
I used a really pretty Formula X glitter top coat from Sephora the other day to make my nails a little more interesting. I may actually get it (despite that I have plenty of glittery polishes).
Hey guys if you were ever interested in picking up a Sally Hansens GelStrips kit, you definitely should check out your local Walgreens. I just picked one up on Friday evening as they were 50% off both the starter kit and the other nail wraps. (Typically they're $30 for the starter, and $15 for the wraps. I ended up picking up the starter and two kits for the typically $30 price as an early bday present to myself.
Let me first start off with stating the gelstrips are a bitch to use - and they ended up coming off for the most part within a couple of hours. I thought I had pressed them down all the way but you have to pay special attention to the sides and the edge of the nail before using the gel topcoat.
Now with that being said I have seen a few youtube videos where people use the gel clear topcoat for normal nail polish, and I have done that with my normal nail polish and I notice it gives it a very high gloss shine which I love. I don't know about the lasting power being greatly improved. I have a little bit of chipping from the make up paint session, but I also did something kinda funky with my nails with different patterns and polish as not all of the nail strips came off and they were super beautiful. I think next time I will go ahead and do one solid color with the top coat and test.
The top coat literally takes 30 seconds per nail, and then it's rock hard.
Also I picked up a couple more colors of polish at the local discount warehouse, as well as two Essie polishes for $2.12 a piece!! (Then realized when i got home that only one of the barcodes successfully scanned, even though the self checkout they both made the scanning 'boop' noise....whoops! >_<)
I should take some pictures of the colors. The two I got that are Essie are my first essie polishes and they're very dark dark red. More fall/winter colors. I'm still excited to try the formula as I've heard great things about them.
I just looked up a pic and that glitter is pretty cool! I probably won't get any myself though since I have too much polish as it is. >.<
I have some Sally Hansen strips I should use. I've never tried them before so I'm intimidated by applying them, afraid they will rip or something. I'm not super interested in the gel ones really...
I know what you mean. I have so much polish and trying to use it all feels impossible. xD
I like the regular nail strips. I don't remember having the best luck with the Sally Hansen ones but I have a couple more of them to try before I make a final decision on them.
