Well, I like to draw, but I'm not good at making poses or anything...lmao. I've been practicing basic anatomy of the body (cartoon wise) and was wondering if perhaps I could get some advice. Omg. I suuuuccckkk at hands/feet, as you can see (invisible hands and feet, lmaoo!!)

Yeah, they're realllyl rough sketches, and my scanner killed half of the lines. xD

o_O; It frightens me how realistic and well proportioned those bodies look, and I don't blame you for the hands. I usually draw my people with hands behind their back for that reason. And knee-up, because I can't draw feet or shoes to save my life.

Um... All I can say is look at your hands. Or a tutorial. Or both.

Very nice. They all look well done.

If I were you I would also practice some poses using foreshortening. The technigue is difficult, bt immensely useful. I'm always impressed when someone is able to do it correctl. Especiall with hands.

  • The upper arm of the young teen girl looks a bit odd to me, it's a little bit too short maybe. It could be me though.
I don't know if you're serious about the falling pose, but that's the only pose that's not well proportioned. :3

Keep up the good job, I'd love to see one of your final sketches once.

Those are fabulous! As Sanctuary said, maybe try foreshortening. Always a good skill to have.

To me, the torso of the woman seems a bit too skinny; I don't think her ribcage would be so evident. Also, the young figure's upper right arm [it's right, not ours] seems to be a bit too short.

Very impressive though. Now I want to do some figure drawings. xD

  • Wow! Awesome feedback and input...-bows- Thank you all!
    <33

I see what you are both saying, Mokibus and Username Censored...It DOES look short. -nod- The falling over one was just for fun. Haha.
    OMG. I've TRIED foreshortening...I SUCK. It's sooo hard....>.>

And I want to be able to draw poses sitting down. I suck at that too.

Um, the adult woman looks great. Though, I'd still make between her breasts and her hips a bit taller, so that it doesn't make her arms and legs look as long as they do in that picture.

But, good job.
Better then I can do.
(:

Those are very good 'dummy'! XD
You got the general idea already. Just need to fine tune it.

Besides, I read through the thread, but I don't seem to understand...what is foreshortening?

I think they're very good. better then my poses and stuff. However if I'm ever looking for a really good pose I just go look through a magazine or someone's Dollfie (I think that's what they're called) collection. The dolls help a ton because most of the owners consider them to be real people (or something like that, what I mean to say is most of the dolls have personalities and stories) so they have a lot of good poses. :3

Also for hands and feet and anatomy stuff in general look at this persons anatomy tutorial's. They're amazing. >w<
