Ah, I am hoping that all day Friday I will be online chatting it up here and somehow magically get 500 pies before the event ends. OTL

-missed way too much-
Esmereina:: I actually liked it back then, but I think all those extra things they kept putting in threw me off as well. D8

Kalium:: D8 I'm waiting to get a job as well! I'm still applying to the places I can. D8 I'm not having much luck though.

Yeah... and everyone was telling me there was no way I'd remain unemployed for long with four foreign languages.

Oh, no worries. It's not everyone's cup of tea. :3

Just hoping people will come to my thread to talking about summer school stories in general at least. :)

I have to go now, unfortunately. Will come on tomorrow night too! Gnight!

Best of luck getting a job, Kalium. I am going through a similar situation! Head up! <3

D8 yesterday and today I realized I'm a nervous driver from not driving so long! OTL
Mom sent me to Kroger just now to buy ingredients for tonight's dinner. =w= I have to drive to the big city Saturday. D8 Even though I've done it before I don't think I'm capable of doing it again, definitely when I'm so nervous about my driving. ; ^ ; sorry for my ranting.
So well How's everyone doing? I don't think I'll get all the Event items. D8 I won't have enough pies. This makes me sad. It's hard making decisions.

I don't think I will have enough pies either. It makes me sad, but what can you do about it?

I find it odd that school has already started down here, but I would consider it the height of summer. Fresh tomatoes, nice berries, peaches still hanging from the trees. It is also still quite warm (though more humid than warm- its only 97F out, not too hot really). What do you guys consider to be the things that make it summer? For me, it is the first fresh tomato off the vineor the opening of the outdoor swimming pools.

If it's still freaking hot it's summer. =w= I wish it would cool done quite a bit now. It still feels like the beginning of summer. ; ^ ; so happy I'm a high school graduate. the high school in the district I live in is so stingy. during summer it's so hot humid and smells sweaty in the classrooms. ; ^ ; and during winter it's freezing.

Heh. I have been out of school for a long time, but I see all the kids getting on the buses.

I went to school in Arizona, so you can imagine how hot it was. Luckily, it was dry, so you didn't get the humidity stink that you get down here in the south where I live now.

I'd be fine with the humidity. Considering I'm from Germany where it rains quite frequently. Then I lived in Texas for a short while. For someone who doesn't know how to deal with heat, it's the worst place to be forced to live at. It was sometimes a little try which triggered me to have a bloody nose. I've done quite a bit of moving and now I'm stuck in Tennessee until the end of the year.

I am good with the heat- it is the cold that utterly thwarts me. Anything below 60F and I am freezing. But, if it 110F + out, I am fine- so long as it is dry. If it is humid and that hot, it feels like you're drowning just by breathing the air. Utterly stifling.

It's the worst if it's hot humid and there's this warm breeze along with it. D8 the breeze makes everything even worse!

I think 60-70 degree weather is good. the second it hits 71 I start complaining about it being hot.
Back in Texas i was always wearing shorts and a t-shirt even during "winter" Everyone thought I was insane. At the time My English wasn't the best either. I do clearly remember seeing someone wearing heavy winter coat. O_O It was the weirdest thing to me.

Those of us raised in the Southwest are generally wimps when it comes to the cold. I think it is all the spicy peppers and hot summers we endure as youngins. I remember one day when it was 126F out and we were driving about town and got a flat tire because the tire melted just slightly to the asphalt.

Oh wow. O_O that's really creepy, I wouldn't be out and about in that kind of weather and I'd die if the Air conditioner broke. I bow down to those that can overcome the heat.

We actually didn't have Air Conditioning. We had something called Swamp Cooling. It works by taking pads (usually straw or fake straw) and running water over them so they are wet. Then you pull air over the pads to cool the air before it comes into the house. This doesn't work in places where it is humid- only in places were it is dry.

That is very interesting I learned something new. I am going to google that, because I want to know what it looks like. I actually didn't know air conditioning existed until I came to the U.S. Now I find it the best thing ever. xD

I mean It's something I can live without. I'd just have like three electric fans in my room. xD Which isn't very big. I actually have a small desk fan. It's so adorable and it comes in handy a lot.
My room often gets incredibly warm, I keep my door closed. Having my music and my parents music mixing together doesn't sound very good.

Hey!
It's funny how we would never have any intention of using air conditioning or electric fans in our house. In England we just need central heating.
