There's nothing strange about why, when people treat themselves to a nice unsliced loaf of proper bakery bread, that loaf is lucky if it lasts into the next day

And I think people often ate it plainly, with just some butter, because it tastes so good on its own. Then you have that, "I'll just have another slice..." thing

Hah. Yeah. That's accurate. The worst is fresh bread. I don't even put butter on it, just a little drizzle of honey.

I like bread and butter, if it's good bread I'm more inclined to have just butter on it. Though if I've got soft cheese or hummous in the fridge

hummus!!!!! When I'm feeling ambitious I make my own with roasted garlic.

I had this tempeh reuben today at a hippy tea shop. It was so good, mainly because the bread was so hearty. Flax seeds, nuts, and just...mmmm. Hot and crispy!

I made some before. As usual, not a recipe in sight I dumped some cooked chick peas into my blender, and a bit blended then the blade just whizzed around above the ones sat in the bottom of the damn thing. So I added...something. Seem to remember adding water, don't know if I put any oil in it. I honestly had no idea what I was doing xD I know I added garlic too.

I'll make it again, now that I have more idea what I should have done before

Maybe a food processor would work better than a blender?

Yes! I had the same issue with the blender. Food processor is the only way to go. I was so mad the first time I made it with a blender.

Small issue there, I don't have a food processor.

Curses!! I ended up mashing my first attempt (blender!!! *shakes fist*) with a potato ricer. So if you have that, you're set! It won't be as smooth, but it works out in the end.

If I could be bothered, I'd put some chick peas in to soak overnight...but that means getting up and going to the kitchen Maybe tomorrow.

You know..... it's late there. I don't blame you. ;)

Here, finally is a picture of our feast for Bilbo and Frodo's birthday! I made the scones, but like I said, my bread failed this time....so we whipped out some pumpernickel.
