Where do people get essential oils anyway? We probably have it somewhere in town, but I cannot think of a place.

Online or in a health shop.
I found mine at a local health shop.
Vitamin World or GNC sells them.

Okay, so the soap melded finally.
It works GREAT.
It's a degreaser like no other.
It has the consistency of egg whites, though.

The starch is WONDERFUL.
It doesn't leave your clothes feeling stiff.
It leaves a residue if you don't iron it almost as soon as you spray it.
Though you have to shake it, and often.

I need to make more laundry soap, I'm almost out.
xD

I've never used starch, that's something I associate with old-fashioned laundry; crisp thick cotton sheets etc. What's the actual point of starch, apart from stiffening things a bit?

I know starch can pull grease out if you rub it on the stain. That's the extent of my knowledge.

I love to iron pleats.
But I hate ironing so much.
It took me like an hour to iron nine things.

It take me that long to iron normal things, so pleats would be a big no no for me!

I have a secret love of ruffle shirts. O 3O Fresh out of the fabric softener, those billowy ones look like you're walking around in a baby blanket.

The starch helps to keep clothes clean, as dirt and sweat stick to the starch, not the fabric itself.

So I wanna mention this stuff I was told about yesterday called Awesome. A friend gave me a bottle and I'm just staring at it and I have no idea what. It's. Made. Of. According to the bottle, it doesn't have bleach, ammonia, acid, it's not flammable and non-toxic, BUUUUUT because it's non-toxic and it's got a secrecy patent they don't have to disclose the ingredients. I've been told it works wonders and I'm debating on whether or not I should use it.

Google "awesome cleaner ingredients."
There is a link to a pdf, that lists the ingredients.

*missed that* This is actually a lot better than 90% of the chemical cleaners I've seen. I'll try it!

---------- Post added 04-01-2014 at 03:07 PM ----------

VINEGAR IS AMAZING!! I've been cleaning for the last two hours and have been covering grime and junk with baking soda then scrubbing at it with a vinegar rag.

Things I've cleaned:
My oven door (I did scrub with an SOS pad because, honestly, I don't know if this thing was cleaned before I moved in. It sure wasn't after, until today)
The edge of the cupboard attachment under the oven (I didn't know that would come off, I thought it was stained into the metal)
The microwave (I've tried four different things that wouldn't get the gunk off such a smooth surface before this)
The stove top (to make it shine)
My counters

Another update. I dunno if any of you have heard of this, but I just found something where you mix 1:1 baking soda and dish soap and you put that paste onto the grease catchers on your stove to peel off the burnt stuff. Gonna try it after dinner and let them sit overnight.

I have a flat top, so I can't use that, lol.
Well, maybe I can.
I'll test it out, to see if I can get the burnt stuff off of the burners, and update later.
//excited

As of yesterday, I became a stay at home mom, because I was laid off.
Time to find a new job!
//cry

Time to finish the laundry!
It piled up because the dryer was broken, and line drying and ironing took way too long.
Now the dryer is fixed, and I can dry two loads at the same time.
:D

Aww, sorry to hear that. Hope you find another soon!

I wish I had my own place so we could hang our laundry. Now that the storm is over it smells WONDERFUL outside. That outdoorsy smell that fabric softener could never replicate. I've got every window open and I'm freezing, but it smells too good to close any of them.

Edit: Umm, so I was about to start scrubbing my floor, and I noticed the cabinets were dusty, so I scrubbed them first.

How bad is it when you didn't realize your cabinets had diagonal decal carves to give the wood texture because they were so full of dust?

Edit: I've cleaned so much I feel gross. Ugh. I used Awesome on a floor stain I've been trying to lift since I moved in. BLEACH couldn't get this grime up, but pure squirts of awesome soaked right through it. Now all I've really got left are windows and laundry.

Thanks~

Oh, that reminds me of the time I was cleaning the stove at my mom's place, and found that the stove (where the knobs are) had a design, but you couldn't tell from all of the grease and dust covering it.

I'm doing a bunch of cleaning because guests are coming tomorrow.
Is it related to my birthday? I have no idea.
I've got about four more loads of laundry to do. Thank goodness.
I'm doing major cleaning in the kitchen, because the cat keeps jumping on the counters and stove.
Gotta find a way to keep the cat from jumping up there. Cat hair everywhere!

Oh yeah!
The paste worked awesome on my stove!

I need to get the stains of the carpet, because child. Child caused the stains.
But I don't like using chemicals.
I will try the soap and vinegar.

That emote is perfect for that situation, lol.
I should find that awesome cleaner!

If you go to the dollar tree website I think you can order it, or find the one nearest you. I'm glad everything's working out!
