I love cats with a passion. They're my favourite animal! I had to get rid of my kitties when we moved because my mum's dogs aren't friendly and we downsized in house size, so it would be very difficult to keep the cats separate from the dogs. :/ Still trying to figure out a way to make it work with just one cat. I'd feel bad having it locked in my room all the time, and that seems to be the only way.

Could the dogs be kept out of the house for most or some of the day? That would probably give the kitty some space so that it wouldn't be cramped in the room for the whole day.

They most certainly could, but mum won't have it. She gives those dogs way too much freedom. :/ They get away with murder when it's up to her. She thinks I'm mean to them, but then she wonders why they behave better for me, hehe. Ah well. When I move out I can get a kitty and it'll have the house to itself. :P

I'm leaning towards another Maine Coone or something similar. I love fluffy kitties! I really don't mind as long as I like their personality, though.

I loooove Maine Coons! :heart: My dad has two and one of them is such a sweety! They're like monster kitties--super puff balls with a big frame to boot! I feel overwhelmed when they sit in my lap. :XD

A Maine Coon was one of the cats I had to get rid of during the move. I loved her so dearly. She was more like a dog than a cat, but a very quiet, clean, cuddly dog (I'm not a dog person).

I'm an extremist for sure, I either want really big or really small. If I don't get a Maine Coon I want to find some kind of dwarf cat.

Awww, I remember seeing some dwarf kitties. They had little stubby legs and reminded me of dacshunds. So cuuuute. I have a big book of different types of cats and I love them all. :heart: The only cats I don't really care for are Persians. The scrunched up face doesn't really appeal to me. :XD

I always laugh when I see persians because I think they're cute, but I also think they look like cars who got in head-on collisions.
