I'm currently reading American Gods by Gaiman for the second time and its one of my favorite books by him. I was wondering if anyone else has read his books like Ocean at the End of the Lane or Stardust, or Coraline. This is mostly to discuss thoughts on his books.

Neil Gaiman is one of my favourite authors! I mean, look at my signature and my username! The first book I read that's written by him was Stardust (this was way before the movie was ever made) and then Anansi Boys. It's hard for me to pick my favourite book by him, so I guess I'll just have to list my top 5 here. Not in any particular order, though.
01. Good Omens
02. The Graveyard Book
03. Smoke and Mirrors - is this cheating? 'Coz this is a collection of his short stories
04. M is for Magic - Another collection of short stories
05. Stardust
I haven't read any of his comics though. I'm planning to, their price (where I live) is just too high for my to justify buying one.
I really like The Ocean at the End of the Lane. The moment I finished reading it for the first, I immediately reread it again. I've read American Gods too, but my knowledge of all the mythologies mentioned in that book is quite small, so I don't think I can appreciate the book as much as others. Did you know HBO is making a series for the American Gods?

Short stories are fine Sestina and Fragile Things is a really good one if you like his short stories. I loved American Gods but i'm pretty good with mythology, so figuring which God's were which wasn't hard except for Czernobog, but I had a friend explain him to me. I would love it if HBO made a series for American God's. I plan on reading Stardust, Neverwere, Unnatural Creatures, and the Ocean at the End of the Lane. One of my friends got me into Neil Gaiman he's a really good writer.

Just googled about the rumored American Gods TV series and HBO is no longer interested in pursuing the series. :(
Yes, I've seen the Fragile Things book but my older sister told me that she didn't like it. I guess, I'll have to read it now and I might just end up telling her she's wrong. I'll add Unnatural Creatures to my reading list, too.

Yeah there are a good stories and poems in fragile things, and enjoy unnatural creatures I haven't read it, but its going on my ereader when I get the chance. I also get his sandman comic books from the library and those are excellent.

Did they announce when the release date of the movie will be? Pressure to read the comics are starting to build.
