"Yes, I figured," Tony said. "Just let me know when you're ready to go. I am bringing new toys."

"What kind of new toys?" Aurora asked, intrigued. "Come on, I want to know~!"

"The fun kind. I'll give you a demonstration when I get there." Tony grinned. "Should I meet you at your place?"

"Yeah, sure, come on down," Aurora said. She grinned a bit. "There's coffee. And Reilly made blini."

"Oh good." Tony grinned. "Be there in a bit." He hung up again.

"It's a good thing he's our favorite," Reilly grumbled half-heartedly.

"Seriously," Aurora agreed, putting her phone down. "Though, I mean, we do get nice toys out of it."

"Yes we do." Reilly grinned at that.

It didn't take long for Tony to arrive, and he was carrying a briefcase. And grinning like a loon.

"Morning, Tony," Aurora said when he sauntered into the kitchen. She eyed the briefcase. "What is that?"

"New toy. Can't exactly carry it around with me in public." Tony set it on the counter and popped it open, showing them. Inside was a scythe with a retractable handle, lightweight enough for any of them to wield it easily.

Aurora's eyes lit up when she saw the scythe.

"Oh that's gorgeous," she said, setting her coffee down and reaching out to touch the weapon. "Look at that."

Tony grinned. "Told you it was a fun toy," he said, smug.

"Yes, yes," Reilly agreed, though she was also distracted by the pretty shiny.

"You bring us all the best toys," Aurora said, gently touching the scythe. "You're so good to us."

Aurora nodded.

"Right," she said. She grinned. "May as well get this show on the road. If we're lucky, we'll be all set in time for dinner."

Tony snorted but kept his opinion of that to himself, instead letting them get ready to go.

Of course, things were not all wrapped up by dinner time.

Aurora swore viciously as she cut through another revenant. This was definitely not what she had signed up for when she agreed to take this job for Tony.

"You said vampires," she snarled at her cousin. "Vampires. Not revenants!"

"You read all the evidence!" Tony shot back, taking down another revenant. "Everything pointed to vamps!"

Steve actually heard them first, and nudged Bucky at least before he started in that direction. Revenants? In his neighborhood? Nuh uh.

"Then what happened?" Aurora retorted. She swung her blade around again, taking the head off of another revenant.

Bucky nodded and followed. Time to take care of the infestation.

"How the hell should I know?" Tony demanded. "I don't actually know everything."

Steve grinned a bit as he took out a couple. Revenants were nasty pests, and he had no problems removing them. Although he did at least have to pretend to be human to do so, this time.

Aurora gave a sort of wordless snarl as she whirled around and stabbed another revenant. She paused when she saw two others jump into the fight.

"Who the hell are they?" she asked.

"No idea," Tony said, stabbing another revenant. "For now, allies."

"Speculate later," Reilly grumbled at them.

Aurora made a face, but kept on fighting.

Bucky smirked as he took out another trio of revenants. This was actually kind of fun; more fun than he'd had in a while, at least.

Steve ended up fighting near Aurora somehow, keeping a couple revenants off her flank.

Reilly, on the other hand, ended up near Bucky, although that wasn't too helpful when one revenant got in a lucky swipe, catching her shoulder.

Aurora whirled around, taking down another revenant. She wasn't quite quick enough to kill the last one before it could take a swipe at her, opening up a trio of painful cuts across her collarbone. She swore viciously.

Bucky's attention sharpened when he smelled the fresh blood, but he was good enough to keep his focus on the situation. Once the action was over, though, he would investigate.

Steve was near enough to Aurora that a little bit of her blood, no more than a few drops, splattered on his skin. He was good until the revenant was dead, and then he wiped off the blood. He had intended to just wipe it on his pants instead, but somehow, he ended up having a quick taste. His eyes widened and he froze, gaze locked on Aurora.

"Well, that wasn't too bad," Tony said cheerfully. "Could have been worse."

Reilly grumbled at him, sheathing her sword again so she could try to examine the cut on her shoulder.
