I will say it was a shock, considering we found out from outside of staff but it is one that we dealt with and are excited about. We'll keep this community together one way or another :)

I saw the sale page for Mene...it's going for quite a bit.

Yeah, everyone on staff is really pretty excited about the change of ownership, and we're all sticking around for the long haul. Of course we all have concerns about getting an owner who knows what they're getting into -- as we all know that avatar sites are extensive projects that require quite a bit of funding to keep everything running smoothly.

But I'm feeling pretty positive about the sale thus far, and I'm keeping my hopes up for our future success. No one wants Mene to die, and as a staff, we'll be doing our damndest to keep our community going. :D

I'm with you guys. I think this is a good thing. Hopefully someone will buy it who has a real interest in helping it grow.

Well, as far as I can tell, there's been a few bidders already. ^^ So it is going to sell. The big question that we'll all find out together is to whom. :3

Ah wow getting a new owner for this site is a huge change, but it does bring the hope of a better site in the end.
Like everyone else I am eagerly hoping that someone who will love the site will come along and buy it so we can continue living as a community.

It should be safe to assume that the Halloween event won't be affected in any way due to this right?

Well, whomever it is that does purchase this site, I do hope that they are mature and professional enough to not go around to other sites and make rude comments and have others come over and spam. :)
