We are very proud to introduce Mennies, the official Menewshan currency used to purchase limited edition items from Menewsha's Contribution Item store.

There are several different amounts of Mennies that you can buy.
You can purchase this currency at any time from the Contribution page and save it for buying your Contribution Items later or use it all up at once. They will never expire.

Sorry, you can't trade mennies to another user.

For those of you shaking your head and wondering what SMS is... it means that you can now pay using your cell phone!

In order to use this option:

Go to the Contribution Shop and click on Donate via Mobile.
Click on the SMSKambi logo or the green Donate via Mobile banner.
Click on your country's flag.
You will be given a number to send a text to.
You will then receive your code.
Enter your code in the box.


Charges are based on SMSKambi's conversion rate to US Dollars. When you text the number you will get a code back, that code is associated with a price based on where it originated. If you are in the UK, for example, the cost is 1.5 GBP, which when converted to US Dollars will give you $2.50 or 250 mennies. The minimum amount of mennies you can purchase at one time is dependent on where you are in the world.

**Due to the nature of the technology being used and various conversion rates, more than one transaction may be needed.

**Conversion rates subject to change due to current economical and global conditions.

Even though I won't use it, I know of a lot of users who do.

Basically that means if you are outside of the United States because the conversion rates vary, you may not get enough Mennies at one time to buy a CI (which may be alright if you are just stocking up on mennies to save for later) so you will have to use the SMS payment box twice.

Does that make sense?

I know. I do think it will end up a lot better with this on Menewsha than it did on Gaia. I just hated Gaia cash with a passion.

If you don't have a mobile phone it doesn't apply to you, only those that do. You can still send money through snail mail or use pay pal.

by the way do i use the same code? or i repeat the same thing for every mennies.... ?

for example, for every purchase, do i text, then text again then get a text with my code?

Not really, it's just a simple way to deal with users who live in countries where they can't spend exactly $2.50 each time they want to get a CI. What do you expect us to do.. give CI's away for $1 if that is all we can charge? Or even $5 if thats all their country permits?

I'll admit the bunny fish that pop up to tell me I have no mennies bothers me, though. I would rather it was Yumeh. The bunnyfish remind me too much of grunnies in that image.
