So we've been wanting a tidy way to add more Mennies items to the store for a long time. We're aware that the CIs alone aren't enough, you guys want some choice! It's pretty sucky for the people who want to support the site but don't like the CI, you know?


But we're not gonna get a Mennies shop re-do any time soon, so the intent is just to put more things in there! We don't have any way to sort them, things are just going to add themselves to the bottom of the list. So you'll need to scroll down to see everything.

We don't have some huge stock to add, just a very small amount of additional things at the moment.

We don't currently have a set plan for how long any item is going to be available.
We're going to see how things go and judge once we have some stats and can make an informed decision.

Mennies items will differ from CIs in that they'll always be available for longer (notice the Island Haloes are there for another month yet). Some will turn up at certain times of the year (like the Yumeh plush on the site's birthday) others may be seasonal, there will be variations depending on the item.

We are also going to bring in a variety of price ranges, covering single items up to fully loaded sets.

The CI's are pretty unique in that we are often crazy generous with the amount of content you get for your $2.50, we get a bit carried away

There will be more control over the amount of things in Mennies items. You're not likely to get 30+ pieces in one, but you never know! Never say never and all that, it only comes back and bites you on the bum. But the CIs will always be your best bet when it comes to a huge amount of stuff for your money. We're going to do our upmost to make the Mennies items as fairly prices as possible though, and we will listen to what people have to say about the whole process.

Simply put, no item we sell is ever going to over-shadow the CIs for general awesomesauceness when it comes to quality, and the sheer quantity of content.

I know some of you struggle with that because of how things are on other sites, but you can trust us!

So keep a look out for Mennies items in the shop, they'll be here soon!

That's a really murky area seeing as those are gift items and the people who have them got them for free. But who knows, we might trial something if the majority of people are for it.

Basically, anything is down to whether the staff are cool with it, and so are most of you guys.

I think that is a good idea Jelly as it is true I often don't like this or that CI and don't donate that month because of it. I can't wait to see what new items will be available!

That sounds like a brilliant idea. I usually end up waiting to buy mennies until there's a CI I like. Not that the quality of them are dropping - they aren't!

But really, this sounds great. I'm glad you've decided to keep the CIs as your crown items (unlike unmentioned other sites), but to diversify your offerings. Seems like a good plan to me. :)

Neph, no matter how, old items should stay old. It would be upsetting to users who have already quested it... besides... at $50 who would even buy it?

But I can see a lot of people getting pissed off if that ever happened.
