its the production supervisor and the store manager. honestly. some of the shit they say is just so beyond illegal that i wish i had it recorded. for example. i was taping up a knife recycling box (we recycle knifes that are rusted, broken or didnt sell) and i was tapeing the box shut. sometimes the recyclers throw the boxes and they burst open, so i use extra tape. lots of extra tape. that way they dont have to worry about it. my supervisor saw me taping it up and i explained to her my reasoning and i ended the statement off with "better to be safe then sorry right" and she said "not at the cost of tape" i was so shocked i had no response. when i told the store manager, she called me melodramtic and told me to use one piece of tape.

the recyclers now ask me to use more tape and i am forced to tell them that i am not allowed to use more then one piece of tape because tape is more expensive then safety.

the turn over in our building is absurd. people hardly ever last past a year. most people dont last 6 months and some of the smarter ones know better after the first week and never come back. i am at 8 months. and i was holding out for halloween.

Let some teenager, who's working their first job that they really dont' need, but are just using for experience come in. I don't wish bad things on anyone, but this is definitely going to happen.
They'll fuck with the wrong person, who has nothing to lose by collecting evidence/filing a complaint. And is actually in the position financially to see it through.
And SOMETHING will change.

there is no company policy regarding tape use on recycling boxes. however there is company policy regarding tape use elsewhere. and you are to use it as stingily as possible. though i have never read it. my only good supervisor has said that the company has strange policies about tape.
