These are things that I've worked on, and if I could get feedback, 'twould be awesome. I don't pixel very often, but I do enjoy it.. so there's more coming for sure!

PANTS!

These are the first things I ever pixelled, but I thought they were quite cool.

Started again from square one, and got these....



Fixed the flow of the hanging suspender, but not the shading.

DRESSES!

(Somehow that title isn't as exciting as pants...)



The next thing I pixelled, had real trouble with the big skirty bit, any ideas?

Well... After staring so hard my eyes hurt at an existing skirt - this is what I got.


It's white now, for simplicity's sake.

I really like the pants with suspenders - it is a cute idea! Can I give a bit of critique - the suspender that is hanging down doesn't look natural. It looks too stiff poking up like that...maybe have that part fall down in front...it's okay if it covers the hook, we know it's there :D I enjoy the shape of the pants - they look like wok pants rolled up like that :D I feel like all you need is a mechanic shirt and then one of the gasket or sprocket tools and you'd be all set :D XD

@Luna: I use graphics gale. It wourks for me, but I wish it had an eyedropper tool for colours.

I've been working some more on those pants! I know there needs to be more work on the shading (especially toward the bottoms) but right now, I'm looking for input on the flow of the suspenders. Something seems off about the hanging one.

I really like the shape of the pants now even better than before. And the suspender is so much more natural! I really enjoy the color your chose for the pants as well :D

I would think it would be difficult to show a hanging strap...there aren't too many pixels to work with!

For the bottoms, you may want to round the edges of the suspenders a bit so they don't look as harsh/pixelated.

Jeannesha, having less pixels to work with is often more problematic, as you have less available to create natural shape/flow :yes: The right one is too straight up and down which is maybe why it looks off to you. But I'm not sure what to suggest with that as altering the shape can look seriously obvious on a narrow item. The left one, the curve as it falls off the shoulder needs smoothing, as right now there's too much of a sharp change beteewn straight up then bend.

What you guys need to do is get the lines of an item looking right before you start on the shading :yes:

My homework for tonight (besides writing about early Athenian politics) is to google image search women wearing suspenders and hope I don't end up with porn...

I love the pants with suspenders. They're super cute. :D I'd love to see some overalls or something as well. ( i don't recall one already made at the moment)

Advice though... I'm not very good at because I can't pixel yet... and I'm still horrible at clothes realistic look making in my drawings. Though I'm getting better!

The white dress looks very cute, you seem to be getting the flow of how clothes work on people better. I like. :]
