Aw, I'll miss your GF. ;) It's hard having long term thingies when you're young, they quickly become prison-like simply due to folks changing so much as they grow up. ..(yes, 20anything is young to me.) *pinches cheeks*

But, liberation, HELLYEAH!

How are you liking the new job?

I wanna hear about the new house, too!

Yeah, ill miss a lot of elements of our relationship too, but it just wasnt meant to be. And I think shes moving on already too which is good. And yes, nearly 2 years, thats a record for me! Especially considering my longest was 6 months prior to dating her!

Either way though, I think I'm over the relationship thing, its just not for me.

New job is great. Good bunch of blokes I get along with fairly well after nearly a week, so looking forward to working with them for quite a while to come, plenty of laughs to be had there and lots to learn! The work itself is pretty full on. Im constantly soaked and covered in dirt. Makes for a hard day when you cant get dry. But some new gear might help sort that out maybe.

New house pictures tomorrow night, I need to go to bed for sleeps!

Cheers Ling and Cherry! Loving the new house so far, just gotta get the time to mow the lawn! Hoping I'll get a chance to do that tomorrow morning some time before I have to leave to go camping.

Speaking of, I just got back from camping for 4 days with friends over Easter. It was all lovely and quiet and relaxing until the last night where we were clowning around with the fire and nearly blew ourselves up and burned down the camp site! Explaining to the security/staff member who showed up minutes later, that the almighty boom he'd heard from several hundred meters away hadnt killed, injured, destroyed or harmed anything, and that it was entirely accidental and we were all giggling like a bunch of bitches afterwards because we saw how big an area the embers of the fire had covered... well, that was a little harder to do than the accidental explosion was! Lets just say, science knows how the process works, and when youve no tools or materials to improve the exercise, then upping the level of testing can only lead to something going wrong!

That said, the camping Im doing tomorrow night is at a mates farm where we regularly go and make things go boom, so I'll be replicating this to see if I can figure out the optimum performance, and so there shall be much running and hiding while I get it right!
Scarily, its also not even close to the biggest stuff we play with, so Im also fairly confident we can have a LOT of fun with this!

Woah...accidental emplosive fire? Sounds dangerously fun....

Seriously though, be careful with the clowning around...the fact that it was an accident indicates to me that you guys had no idea what was going to happen next....whatever you did to cause it.

Ling, I knew that there was the potential for it to explode, but the timing of that explosion IF it happens, is very hard to pick. The first time it happened to me, i was standing right in front of the fire looking directly at the can, then turned to warm my back and the second i was turned around it exploded. That was years ago and after the night we spent trying to make it explode again and it never happened I forgot about it.

This time, after demonstrating the scientific principle I was trying impart, we tried to see if we could make the effect last longer... and this is the part that I knew would cause the explosion because its basically a build up of pressure vs venting of pressure. If the build up exceedes the venting too greatly, the can explodes. What we didnt bank on was how great the explosion would be, and that depends entirely on a largely variable mix of factors.

All in all, the way I did it first was right, worked properly, and I believe would have continued to work properly too had we not altered the method.

Soft drink.

Apparently you can hear that explode 1KM away, which is apparently where the owners house was, not 500m like I thought!

This thread is full of typical Droopiness xDD Glad you're enjoying being single again, and your new job! What are you doing with that, apart from getting very dirty! Like Cherry, I think that pic of you on the kid's playground toy is epic Who was it that was pointing and laughing at the side there?

You sharing with others in your new house, yeah?

Im the Trades Assistant for the Vehicle Service Bay on a mine site. Most of what I'm doing is washing down the underside of cars so that the mechanics and auto electricians etc can get in there to work on them without worrying about getting clods of hard dirt falling on them, and so they can actually get to the stuff they need to work on. The rest of it is parts runs, dropping off and picking people and vehicles that need to or have been worked on, plus general workshop housekeeping, emptying bins, sweeping floors etc, and cooking the weekly friday morning BBQ.

The hand pointing and laughing was my ex. I cant remember who took the picture though if it wasnt her? Its definitely her hand/arm in the picture.

And no, not sharing at the new place.
I have a 4 bedroom place all to myself.
I've got a bedroom, the front room is for my computer room, and the back room seems to have become my laundry room. Since I dont like the washing line here I just hang it on racks and let it dry over night and the next day type thing. The other spare room Im thinking of turning into a library/boardgames/cardgames room maybe. Couches all around the walls and a big coffee table in the middle. Perfect for lounging and reading, and perfect for mates over and chilling and playing cards etc.

So I need at LEAST 6 new couches to get for this place, possibly 8. And an Ottoman i think theyre called? Theyre like the giant foot stools that you can fold out into a bed or something?

This place will be sweet for parties then. Which, once I have the couches here, I'll be having at LEAST once a month hopefully! Fire in the driveway, shed should be powered by then too, and we'll get everything lit up and have the place set up for gatherings!

Get a minifridge for your games/lounge room! Nothing says party like not having to go to the kitchen for a beer.

Naw, the custom liquor cabinet im getting made up would be completely wasted then! Besides, less spills on carpet that way too!

OK, so on to the actual entry for today! I figure I've talked about my job enough, maybe its time for some pics of me at work. Not working at work, just at work Im not supposed to be taking pics of stuff on site, or even be on my phone really.

I did a calculation the other day too. From the time I get up to get ready for work (4am) to the time I get home from work, (4pm) Im doing a roughly 56-60 hour week. Of that, I get paid 44, the rest is travel and pre-work duties. This explains why I've got so little time to do anything on here anymore! [:'(]

Anywho, this is me, on a clean day:

And this is me on a dirty day, but not a filthy day:

And I got this shaved into my hair for my mates gigs the other night. TOTALLY worth it too!

This weekend coming Im heading to Sydney for their gig on the Saturday night, we're staying in 5 star rooms in the casino and the band is going to be there with us! Its going to be a freaking awesome night, REALLY looking forward to this!
I'll also be heading down on the Friday night shortly after work to spend with a woman I've become quite close with recently, but sadly neither of us are able to do any more than the occasional hook up because of the distance and we both work jobs we cant just leave either. Its hard but what more can we do? *shrugs* Make the most of what is, and what may be, may have its chance one day.

I like how only the top part of your jacket is orange, creating the illusion that you're wearing a crop top.

You women and clothes! Its a short top, so it needs a new name? I dont get it, but *shrugs* youre women, I dont have to!

In other news, today I underwent my training and instruction for the Pit Licence at my mine site, which I passed quite easily. Im pretty happy with that, and now I can drive around nearly the entire site bar the area where the explosives are kept pretty much lol! Probably best I'm not in the vicinity of that stuff though, I have a penchant for making things go BOOM!

Next month I go for my Isolation Officer Training, which will be pretty sweet once I'm done that, because then I'll be able to be passed out on the big 15 tonne forklift! ^_^ Look out then, I'll be lifting cars and all sorts of shit!

Its about the size of the 3 bedroom place I had a couple years back above the shops LingLing, but this time, no leaky roof or any of that jazz, and I have a garage and yard!

Sadly, the internet isnt particularly reliable here, often going at very sub-par speeds, if at all. :(
