Well, so my sib has a 13 hour trip total, but it's only 1 hour to our dad's place from where I live and another hour to my grandma's place for Christmas dinner tomorrow.
As soon as my laundry's done in the dryer, it's back up to the apartment for a couple hours of snuggles, treats, and last minute packing.
And a little quick cleaning to put away any potential cat-hazards just in case.

@Car’a’Carn - Awww, that reminds me of my previous cat Kate. She loved to be carried against my shoulder and lay in my lap and drooled on my blankets when she made biscuits. ; w; She was the clingiest cat.

Thanks! His name is Basil! He looks chill but he’s constantly messing with stuff to get my attention and play with him. He’s so annoying but so adorable too. XD Yeah, he has a petting timer. Once he's gotten enough pets he attacks. XD

Thanks! So far it's been...interesting, but not terrible. Helps to have a sibling who feels the same about the whole ordeal to rant with this year.

Lunch/Dinner is complete, time to be a carpet snake until dessert.

I am so happy that the weather has been nice (32C/89.6F) and not rainy.

The secret I think is treats. BSW had some that worked right quick. Perhaps we need to star scatering treats thoughout the threads...

Oof, I am exhausted! Finally home from two days of traveling to different locations. Had lots of fun with my family though. It was really great to see some folks I haven't seen all year :D Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays everyone!

Help. Am officially exhausted and drained from dealing with family, but trivial pursuit broke out so I'm stuck crafting in the living room with my grandma who has dementia.
Can someone rescue me? Lol
Or like...send me cat pics or memes to help get me through the next several hours?

What are you crafting?

I'm working on squares for my temperature blanket that I'm making, but also brought some other yarn in case I want to switch projects and make a fox or dragon plushie.

I kind of want to try a temperature blanket, but I have no idea what pattern to do. There are some people that do squares, while others do row by row .

I think the real trick is to do a lot of research and find a design and color palette that you really like. Some do large squares that each make up a single month, some do rows, I'm doing mitered squares. It's gonna be pretty big, but fairly unique with the yarns I'm using.
