Leandra nodded and finished her coffee before getting ready to go. She already knew she was going to apply at SI, after all, so she just had to get ready.

Amy had no idea where she was going to apply to work, so she just tagged along with her sister. She was sure she'd find something.

Leandra kept her eyes open for any place that said they were hiring as she walked over to SI to fill out an application.

Once they got to the main SI building, Amy waved her sister in.

"Go on and apply," she said. "I can wait out here."

"Alright. I shouldn't be long." Leandra headed inside to go fill out her application and see that it got processed and everything. Then she headed back to go see how Amy had amused herself.

Amy was sitting on the stairs outside, just watching people. To anyone else, she would just be peoplewatching, but she was really watching people to make sure none of them were infected with Extremis.

Leandra joined her, dropping down next to her.

"According to the receptionist, I should hear within a day or so if they want to interview me," she said quietly. "So we've got some time to kill, I think."

"Cool," Amy said. She glanced around the immediate area and spotted a coffee-shop. It looked like a little hole-in-the-wall place. "Oooh, they might have some good tea there," she commented, pointing. "Let's go. I want something calming."

"Sounds good to me." Leandra followed Amy into the coffee place, taking a quick look around. It looked pretty innocuous, really, so she relaxed a bit and wandered over to the counter to order.

Amy looked through the selection of teas and paused when she noticed a 'now hiring' sign. The coffee place across the street from where her sister wanted to work was hiring? It was like a signal from the universe, and she wasn't going to ignore it. She grabbed an application from the stack and found a pen. She trusted her sister to know what she liked for tea, and sat down to fill out the application.

Leandra did know by now, and she ordered for both of them, bringing the cups over to the table when their tea was ready.

"Decided this sounded too perfect?" she asked with a grin.

"The universe was sending me a sign," Amy replied as she looked over the application. "I decided to heed its wisdom."

"Good idea." Leandra grinned and pushed her tea towards her. "Drink up while it's still hot. Since we've both got applications in, or will momentarily, we can look for a place to stay next."

Amy nodded and sipped the tea. She sighed as she felt herself relaxing and calming down. It was much easier to keep control of herself if she was relaxed.

"Good stuff," she murmured over the cup.

"It is," Leandra agreed. "If I work at the Tower I'll have to come here. Possibly daily."

"I wouldn't mind having access to this tea," Amy admitted. "It's working wonders."

"Well, maybe you'll get the job here," Leandra said with a little grin. "That would be great. Then you'd have access to the tea all the time."

Amy nodded.

"That would be good." She grinned a bit, teasing. "Keep myself mildly sedated all the time."

Leandra snorted at that and shook her head. "At least it's only mildly," she said with a brief grin. "You should ask and see if the baristas know anywhere to start looking for apartments."

"Hack Apartments.Com," Amy muttered. "You'd get more information then." She didn't trust people in the slightest when it came to information, since so many people could be misinformed.

Leandra snorted. "When we get back to the hotel and I can get to my computer, I can do that," she said, grinning.

Amy nodded, grinning a bit.

"Alright," she said. She finished her tea and sighed a bit. "I feel better now. Not as twitchy."

"Good. Not twitchy is good." Leandra grinned. "So, back to the hotel and apartment searching?"

Amy nodded.

"Sounds good," she said. She grinned a bit and gestured to the door. "Lead on."

A week later, Leandra yawned and stretched as she left SI on her lunch break, heading over to the café where Amy now worked.

"I hope you have food for me," she said as she walked in. "I'm starving."
