I especially dislike gold. On anything or with anything. It looks horrible on my skin and looks cheap in most American's attempts at decor. No one uses it right around here. Only when I was in South Korea did I see any use of it that looked good.

What is the point of having something of value if it looks bad, tasteless, brings you no pleasure to look at, and makes you the bunt of jokes? I'll take silver and diamonds instead.

The value, not aesthetic. Gold had been quite a stable investment commodity since olden days.
So you can use them to get your silver and diamonds.

Then it should be out of sight and mind in a safe location. But what then is the point of hoarding?

The expression on his face... Hades is actually worried instead of angry... in her other art, he is so fierce. Persephone has fainted here. Wish the artist had written a story to go with it. Her art is pretty amazing. I could stare at this picture absorbing the details for an hour or two.

I... actually envision the story of Hades and Persephone are the rare true romance in Greek Myth, total opposite of Zeus.

Then, their love don't start off kind. Hades KIDNAP Persephone to the underworld.
