Sesshomaru smiled a little at that. She was darling already, and would only get moreso, he knew.

Aura smiled when she saw his expression.

"Don't spoil her too much," she teased him.

"No more than Katsuro," Sesshomaru agreed with a little grin, because that was fair, and also about as much as she could expect from him.

Aura just smiled a bit at that, and looked down at the sleeping pup.

"What about the name Sakiko? Or Takara?" she suggested, glancing at her mate.

Sesshomaru was quiet for a moment as he considered both. "Sakiko, I think," he murmured. "Unless you have an objection, or are particularly attached to Takara."

"I do think I kind of like Takara," Aura admitted. "Something about it just seems right. Unless you like Sakiko more?"

Sesshomaru shook his head. "Either is fine with me," he said. "I'm not attached to either name yet."

"Then I think I like Takara better," Aura said. She glanced at him. "As long as it's alright with you."

Sesshomaru nodded. "Takara it is," he agreed. He was just happy they were both safe.

Aura nodded and settled back against the pillow, still cradling Takara.

"I'm surprised your father hasn't come around yet," she commented softly. She didn't expect his mother to visit them at all, but InuTaisho showed far more interested in his grandchildren.

"He'll likely give us a few days," Sesshomaru said with a shrug. "Since you had difficulties." And he may have gotten a bit rabidly overprotective.

Aura heard the unspoken undercurrents of those statements and couldn't help but grin a bit.

"You chased everyone off, didn't you?" she asked.

"I might have told everyone to keep some distance," Sesshomaru replied with dignity.

"You chased them all off," Aura said, grinning. "Everyone except the healer, apparently. How much apologizing are we going to have to do?"

"I was very reasonable, considering how delicate things were for a while," Sesshomaru said with a shrug. "And really, Father expected it, I'm sure."

"He probably did," Aura agreed, nodding a bit. "And I'm glad that we're not being swarmed by people wanting to see the baby. But I'm sure the others who live here weren't expecting it."

Sesshomaru shrugged, because that was really not his problem, and not his fault. His father would soothe any really ruffled feathers, anyway.

Aura rolled her eyes, but leaned over carefully and kissed him. She winced a bit at the ache that moving caused, and settled back again.

"Rest," Sesshomaru told her, though he did lean over to her to give her another quick kiss. "Take as long as you'd like. You've done enough for a few days."

"I'd rather not overstay our welcome more than we already have," Aura murmured as she relaxed back against the pillows.

"You need a day or so anyway before we can travel," Sesshomaru pointed out. "You and Takara both. So for now, just rest."
