Quote:
Flight 237, en route for Anchorage, Alaska. Just a small plane, carrying only seven passengers and the pilot. An unknown engine failure caused it to go down somewhere over Canada, in a remote area seemingly untouched by humans as of yet. The crash site is completely surrounded by trees, and the ground is moist and muddy. So far north, that even at this time, the nights are cool. It is August 16, 2009. Will you survive?
Alright, here we go...

------------

Quote:
Thick black smoke made it nearly impossible to see, her thoughts and mind swirling, the unmistakable scent of burning flesh fresh in the air. The flames flickered nearby, the heat of it made her cringe, it felt almost as if her skin was melting, threatening to fall from her very bones. A cry for help turned into barely a gasp as she found her mouth completely dry, her throat sore.

Suddenly, a terrible pain shot through her leg, and she felt her skin on fire, the metal twisting and shifting, the burning hot touching her skin. In a panic she clawed at the metal pieces, trying to move them from her, trying to get away from the wreckage. Her hands burned, the metal almost too hot to touch, and the scent of burning flesh grew, and she knew it to be her own. Her legs free, the spot where the metal had sat red and starting to blister.

Quickly she crawled from the wreckage, the shards of metal cutting at her legs. She threw herself onto the soft ground below, feeling herself begin to sink into the cold mud as she tried to crawl further away, the sensation nice against her burned flesh. Before she could get too far from the wreckage, she felt herself collapse onto the ground, the air too thick and heavy, and she gasped for air, unable to get a good breath.

Luna 'Lulu" Morsei
23 years old
Long, Wavy, Red-Orange Hair, Grey Eyes, Pale Skin and Freckles, 4'10", 110lbs, Slender Build

A strong-willed, opinionated little person who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Active and usually always on the go. Her parents were divorced when she was younger, so she spent her time back and forth in a bitter battle between them. She has a sister who is 8 years younger, and generally her parents favourite. When she was 17 she left home, school, and the state, and made her way across country doing what she liked. She is bad at keeping relationships with people, so she leaves before anything gets too serious.

She was on her way to Alaska to work at a wildlife reserve there, helping rescued animals to be released. It was her first real job she was ever going to have. And first real responsibilities, too.

Koen Mikeal Klein
25 years old
Short, Shaggy Brown Hair, Dark Blue Eyes, Slightly Tan Skin, 6'1", 190lbs, Muscular Build

Koen is quiet and usually keeps to himself, he has 8 other siblings, and his parents owned a farm, so they all worked hard everyday. His is the second oldest of his brothers, and practically disowned when he said he wanted to do something other than work on a farm his whole life. His great-grandparents had started this farm when they came over from Germany and everyone in his family worked and lived there until they died, pretty much. He never had free time, and wasn't allowed to have many friends, or meet people. Aside from the occasional girl they tried to set him up with. He felt like he was living 100 years ago, instead of in modern times.

Just last week he decided he was done with that life and took off, and the irony was that he was headed to Alaska to work on a fishing boat with a friend and his Uncle. Unfortunately, his friend didn't make it off the plane.

Basic Info
Name: Eva Leigh
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Features: Pale skinned. Light, barely noticable freckles. Average height. Shoulder length hair.
Personality: Logical, kind, caring.
Hobbies: Cooking, ski, drawing, sports

About Me
Eva was your typical student in high school that never earned the teacher's favor. She didn't hand in assignments on time, skipped some classes, and generally didn't like school and all its drama. She however, had a passion for sports. Badminton and volleyball to be specific. And she had gotten so good she was offered scholarship to a sports university, what an honour.

------------------
From beneath her clothes, Eva could feel the mud clinging from her. Several pieces of the broken machine had pierced her arms and legs, she wasn't sure rather she was bleeding a little, or a lot. It made no difference now, her entire body is overtaken by pain. Regardless though, Eva was tough. She pushed her weakened self off from the ground, or at least what she thought was the ground. Grass and mud bundled together didn't make vision any easier.

Before she could stand steadily, she heard the gasping breaths of herself... no, someone else! There were others left alive. How fortunate, hopefully one of them would be fine enough to come help her out.

Her lips were dry and pursed, but she managed to force them open.

"Is anyone out there..?"

"Oh... oh god..." The male voice cracked, struggling to form any sort of coherent words. A long moan escaped the man, who was laying half-way face down in the mud, his body twisted at a dangerous angle, his back and pelvis straining. He couldn't hear anything but a low, white noise sound, but he could make out the fuzzy outline of the plane he had been on, and see the orange of fire that flickered among the wreckage. A moving figure came crawling from the flames, he couldn't tell much else but the silhouette, but he saw them sink into the mud, not nearly far enough away if the plane decided to fully erupt into flames. With the dim sound ringing in his ears he strained to set himself right, twisting and turning in the mud, trying to pivot his way until he felt he could stand. Finally he was able to lift his upper body up, his arms trembling as he did so.

His pale skin was caked with mud, and there were scratches and burns running up his arm. As he managed to stand up he put his hand to his head, feeling a warm, sticky liquid near his ear. "Blood..." He mouthed, or maybe spoke. He couldn't hear to know. All he knew was his hand was coated in the shiny red liquid, and now that he was standing, his head throbbed. With unsteady feet, made worse by the thick mud, he worked his way towards the wreckage, looking for any signs of life. The hum in his ears continued, and he wondered how he would ever find anyone if he couldn't hear their pleas for help.

It seemed like it took him ages to get to the survivor he had saw, well... hoped she was a survivor. "Are you okay?" He tried to say, but he couldn't be sure of how it came out, and he wasn't even sure why he said it, he would never hear a reply. He opted to kneel down, well, more like drop down, beside her and nudge her with his hand. She moved, ever so slightly, and her face turned to him, coughing, or gagging, something... he felt her whole body wheeze. It was then he noticed the thick smoke, his lungs were burning, and his eyes watering. With desperation he grabbed onto her arm, trying to stand up, and pull her up. It was then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw more movement, someone else, trying to stand, trying to get up. Quickly he stood, too quickly, actually, his head spinning for a moment. His strength returning as a sudden fit of adrenalin rushed through him. He threw the small body over his shoulder, thankful it was not a man, or someone heavier, otherwise he would have never been able to do it. His boots were now stuck in the mud, and he gave up, wiggling out of them as he moved forward, "I'm coming" he tried to shout, still unsure if he had really said anything. It felt like, but he didn't know.

With new determination, he found himself stomping forward, his feet getting stuck with each step. "Grab my hand..." He was sure he had said that now, he felt it, even if he didn't hear it. Hopefully he wasn't going crazy. With those words he held out a strong arm to the other woman emerging from the wreckage, perhaps with his help she could at least walk, otherwise he would have to come back, he wasn't that strong.

She heard a reply, she surely did, although she couldn't so much as to believe it. Her sight didn't improve, but she knew someone had made their way over her, because her eyelids darkened with the absence of the sun's rays.

"Grab my hand..."

Did he say hand? Where is it? She struggled on her knees and meekly waved her arm around, it wasn't long before she hit something. Hopefully she didn't just slap her savior in the face. Wherever her hand was, she decided to treat it as support. She tightened her fingers, "thanks," and I'm sorry if I'm grabbing at the wrong place.

Basic Info
Name: Ryker Walker
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Black
Features: Tanned skin, tall. Looks around 180cm
Scars: Cross shaped knife scar atop the left side of his chest -the heart area-. Normally can't be seen unless he takes off his clothes. A burn scar on left arm just above the elbow.
Personality: Likes to joke around, but isn't good with others joking with him. Not very pessimistic. Intelligent.

About Me
At the age of ten, his family was involved in a terrorist attack. It consisted of poisonous gas bombs. The after trauma of the attack took away his memories and left the young boy with a pair of unsteady, occasionally shaky hands. (which is now healed) He was taken in by Jared Walker. Inherited his last name.

--
He tried hard to breath, but it was to no avail. In fact, with every breath his pain seems to grow. There was strange pressure on his ears , and his face was lukewarm, unlike the rest of his burning body.

It didn't take long for him to notice that he was in water, and just his head at that. Such good luck he has, no wonder breathing was a bad idea. He tried to push his upper half off the ground, but his left arm wouldn't move despite the decent functionality of his right. He soon found himself wiggling pathetically like a worm, and was for a moment glad that no one was there to witness it.

As soon as the water was replaced by air, he felt his body cringe and buckle. An unpleasant, familiar feeling struck him.

And he vomited.

The taste wasn't as bad as he thought it would be... since it was just water. He cursed himself for his idiotic breathing.

On the good side, his legs seemed fairly painless. He could get up without too much effort, the only place he was aware of being injured was his right shoulder, probably from the metal, and of course the mysteriously paralyzed left arm.

"I'm alive!" He shouted with all his remaining strength. God had been good to him, so far, with the exception of the plane crash itself.

It seemed like an eternity in the choking, blinding smoke. He couldn't hear, and the smoke blocked his view, so he had no idea what was happening. He jumped as an arm snaked out and grabbed his forearm, a silhouette in the smoke was all he could see, but it was enough. With his high draining he grabbed onto her forearm as she clasped his, holding tight. Shifting the body on his shoulder he began to move, turning around and heading where he thought he had come from. But he wasn't sure which way, he could only hope it was right. The girl on his shoulder jerked, her hands grasping at his tattered shirt, pulling and clawing. He tightened his grip around her waist. "Shh... I've got you." Wow, he really hoped that he was actually saying these words. He must if done something right, or she had passed out, because suddenly she went limp, her arms dangling and swaying as he stomped through the mud. His feet getting stuck each time.

The struggling was wearing on him, and he could feel his body straining as he tried to push forward. But he was able to see, the smoke growing thinner. His throat still burned, and felt like it was on fire, but they were almost out. So close...

She felt the other pull her with his fingers clasped around her forearm, so she must've been holding onto his too. She let him guide her, since she still can't see that well. She used her spare hand to wipe the dirt from her eyes and felt puddles jump off her and fall to the ground, hitting her knee on the way. Then she proceeded to squint, it wasn't much, as the light was bright and hard to adjust to, but she was able to see the figure in front of her. There was two, she realized, but the other had gone limp like a sack of vegetables. She found herself feeling sorry for him...or her.

They continued to walk... but to where? Where was this guy taking her? Not to the plane she hoped, because that option's done for sure. She let a single leg sink into the mud, pulling a stop and holding him back.

"Where are we going?"

The trek through the mud was quickly tiring him out. He wasn't sure how much further he could go. Despite how small she was, the girl on his shoulder was heavy and awkward, and the mud thick. He sighed and tried to move on, but as he did, he found he couldn't. Not well, anyways. The person he was leading, a female by the feel of her hand and arm, had stopped. His tried to tug, but he couldn't do that without almost falling over. He groaned and snapped his head back, trying to see what the problem was. The smoke still lingered, and his vision was watery. He couldn't tell what was going on. "We need to keep going... A little further... " he hoped now, more than ever, he was actually speaking. The hum in his ears remained, and it was hard not bring able to hear a sound.

Once more he tightened his grip and attempted to surge forward, not sure how much longer he would last. His legs were already burning and threatening to give out. But the smoke was getting thinner. That meant they were getting further away, right? While trying to move forward, be instantly felt the ground shake, even in this mud, and he felt a sudden heat, and a light from behind him. Looking back, the smoke seemed blacker, the flames bigger. Luckily, he couldn't hear the loud explosion.

The man continued to attempt to pull her along with him, Eva scowled internally. What's wrong with this guy, she was sure her voice was loud enough.

And so she continued to hold him back, but he gave a hull of surprising strength, murmuring something inaudible, and at the same time struck quite an awkward pose. It wasn't hard to tell he was struggling, and seeing the cuts and bruises on him, she decided to give in. He's got to be doing this in good will either way.

She sighed and continue treading through the mud with her equally impaired companions. Not like it hurt to go anywhere now, since everywhere looked the same. The trees were tall enough to touch the skies, the ground wet like swamp and dirty fungus all over the place. She could see no end to this jungle.

And everything would've stayed the same, if it weren't for the sudden ooze of black smoke and flame along with the sound of explosion. At the sound, her mind ran wild. What could possibly be exploding now? Eva was never good in science class, she had no clue whatsoever, but what mattered now is more the effect than the cause. The trees from a distance behind them had caught on fire, and it was spreading.

"Holy crap!" She could hear the desparity in her own voice, and she shifted her attention to the guy and the limp girl on his shoulder. She had caught a glance of his turning head before and thought it was weird that he wasn't startled by the explosion.

She mouthed silent curses and used both of her hands to grab the back of his ripped shirt, pushing him at the same time. "There's a fire! We gotta run!"

Something must have exploded... A tank of gas, maybe? He wasn't sure, but he soon saw the flames licking at the trees, the fire threatening to spread. He was about to tug harder on the girl, try to move quicker, but she had the same idea. He felt small hands push into his back, urging him forward. He nodded as she mouthed some words, but the watery eyes made it too hard to read her lips. He could only assume she was telling him to move, and that he did. With a groan he readjusted the weight on his shoulder, his arms beyond sore, and he nearly lost her, but he managed to hold her up. With sinking feet he moved forward more, surging on. He was sure in front of him it was clear, the smoke seemed thinner, the air better. A clearing? Maybe. At least a patch where they would be safe, right? I can only hope...

It seemed with each step that it got better, the mud not as thick, his feet not sinking as much. This was good, right? There was only a think veil of white smoke now, and if his eyes didn't burn so much, he would have been able to see completely. Was that a rock? Yeah... That hurt, but it was a rock. He was glad, they seemed to more or less be out of the mud, which made this easier. But he wasn't sure how much longer he could go on. Were they far enough away? Oh god, he hoped so. His legs were about to give out...

They darted through the mud at the maximum speed possible for them, which was not too fast, but they seemed to have managed to out run the flames. However, her legs were aching and bled, she wasn't sure how long she could last. She stared at her fellow female survivor with envy, she would've liked to sleep peacefully too.

As time passed, the trees seemed to be getting lesser, were they about to make they're way out? Excitement rised in her when she saw that the ground had grown smoother, not so much the swampy texture it was before, but covered short and even grass. It was a clearing.

They did it! They were out of the mud, and the fire most likely wouldn't spread to over here, at least she hoped it wouldn't.

Even so, this was not her ideal setting, water was no where in sight. Her throat had been burning from the get go and by now it was about twice as worse. She had kept her lips shut to retain any moisture that could've been left behind, if there were any.

Barely into the clearing and he couldn't go on anymore. A groan escaped him and he dropped to his knees, the extra weight sending shooting pain through his legs. Despite that, he managed to grab the girl on his shoulders, wondering if she was still alive, and lay her as best as he could on the ground in front of him. It wasn't as smooth as he would have liked, her body sort of dropped, his arms and body just about to give up. He could see her chest rise though, slowly. She was breathing, but still. Panting, he dropped back onto his rear, barely able to even stay sitting. The hum was still there, his hearing still gone. Was it ever going to come back?

His throat was so dry, he needed some water... something to drink. "Thirsty..." he managed to groan, or at least he thought he did. It might have just been a terrible whimper, or something of the sort. His vision was still blurry, but slowly starting to come back. He didn't see anything but trees, and patches of dirt and grass. His body swayed a bit, the fresh air was nice, but not enough. He still felt cloudy, and weak. His head pounded as he tried to look all around, trying to make out the landscape. Did anyone else make it out? Was there water anywhere? Oh god, where were they? How were they going to get home? A sob choked him as his mind panicked.

The clearing was wide, but distance ahead of them had disappeared. They were likely on a hill of some sort.

As she was about to walk to towards the edge, the boy in front of her collapsed to his knees and was soon on his back. It's no surprise, after having to carry an extra lug of weight all the way. She breathed deeply once more before she left him behind to conquer the view from the hill, maybe, just maybe there would be water and she would see it. Anything would've been fine, a stream, even a puddle. Better yet to rain.

It was kind of hard to walk on her own for the first time after the fall, but she was able. Limping sluggishly but with more ease as the mud was gone.

Before she could make it there fully, she had stumbled and fallen forward on her side. Her wounds brushed against the dirt, forcing her to endure the pain. "Damn it..." She sprawled her arms forward and dragged herself a few inches more, and those few inches were enough. Her sight was barely able to pass the boundary of the edge and she could see....

A stream! Her heart jumped, feeling more hope than she had ever did hence the incident, they have a source of water. But there was something else...smoke, fire? did the fire somehow manage to spread to under this hill? In confusion, she pulled herself yet closer, straining her eyes to see better.

No, it wasn't the fire from before. It was... a bonfire!

Did someone come here to camp? No, no way. This was a place as far as she could see uninhabited. Then who could it be? The figure appeared to be relaxingly laying on his side, a hand popped up to support his head. Could he be a survivor? But how did he end up all the way over there?

He had fallen back at some point, his back on the cool ground. It felt good, actually. With a strained grunt he managed to straighten his legs out, and in his moment of bliss, he forgot about the other survivor at his feet. He curled them in a bit, twisted uncomfortable as to not hit her again. He tried to sit up, he wouldn't of heard if he had hurt her, and without looking, he didn't know if she was moving yet. She was trembling, violently. Oh god, what have I done? He groaned as he thought about it, sure that his kick had caused this some how. Looking around frantically he noticed the other one he had helped was gone, but where?

With his vision a bit better now he strained and managed to see her, up on the hill before them. How long had he been in a daze? She moved quick, or he was out awhile. "Help!" He shouted, or hoped. She seemed to listen to him, so maybe he really was saying all this, but them hum didn't reassure him, he still couldn't hear, and with a check from his hand, there was still blood on the side of his head. Straining again, he bent over the girl in front of him, shaking her light, "Hey... wake up, it's okay." Well, maybe it isn't okay... Her eyes seemed to flicker at his voice, but they never fully opened, and her body continued to tremble violently. Oh god, she was dying. He just knew it, he didn't know what was wrong, but he knew there was no way he could help. He had no medical training, nothing to look back on. Man, if only he had been a doctor like his brother. With a defeated sigh he slumped down, nearly on her. Maybe she was cold? It was chilly... sort of. He noticed it now, even he seemed to shiver. Her hands were burn though, he could see it now, blisters and red on the palms of each of them.

Trying to get a closer look at each he was all but on top of her, and as soon as he realized this he jumped back, nearly losing his balance. Damnit, now they're going to think I'm some sort of weirdo... "Please, come help... I don't know what is wrong!" He tried to rally the girl at the top of the hill, not that he was sure she could do anything. She was looking at who knows what on the other side.

She stared now passed the figure into the distance, at some point, the scenery seemed to form into a prairie, but she wasn't sure as she could see the start of it.

Behind her, she heard faint sounds. He had started to say things inaudibly again. When she turned around to see, his face was frantic. He shot her a desperate look and then let his attention back to the other girl. She squinted again, to witness the shaking of the earlier limp body. It was an unusual shake, more like her body was jerking back and fourth. It resembled a severe allergic reaction of one of her former classmates, but she couldn't be sure. The effects of allergies were endless. For all she knew it could something entirely different. Even if it was allergies, she didn't have a epipen.

Instinctively, she reached in to her pocket for her phone, but of course there was no signal, not to mention half of it was heavily cracked. Oh lord.

If she was to make it back it would be difficult, and if she went there she would be no help. She was dumbfounded, kneeling there motionless.

A thought struck her that perhaps a change of position would work, it was just a guess, but it was better than nothing.

"Try sitting her up!" She waved her arms towards them, at the same time making a gesture to illustrate her point. Hopefully he would understand, this time around.

As he waited helplessly, unsure of what to do, he groaned. The aches in his body were barely registering. He was frantic and concerned. Sure, he knew others likely didn't make it out, but to have this girl die right in front of him? That was devastating. He saw movement from the top o the hill, snapping him back into reality. What was she doing? He squinted, try to study her movements. Oh. Okay, she wanted him to sit the girl up. At least that is what it seemed like. With a grunt he shifted, moving to her head and grabbed her shoulders, trying to push her up. After seeing her hands he wasn't about to pull on them.

His body ached and protested but he managed to get her sitting up. Her body still limp, making her slump over. His arms instinctively wrapped around her chest and held her up right. She made a sound, a groan, her head rolling from one side to the other. "Shhh. It's okay." No it isn't. she jerked in his arms, more in surprise than anything, but she wasn't trembling as bad. This was a good sign, but she was cold, it seemed like it was getting darker, and his throat still begged for water.

When the girl was sat up, the girl seemed to somewhat stabilize. That was good, but she really really needed water. Not only to ease her throat but to wash the possible infections off her wounds. She looked down towards the stream, never in her life has she wanted something so badly yet so common and simple. They could walk but seriously, her companions were worn out, and she wasn't better off either.

If only that guy would see them and come over with water or just come and carry the girl for them. He looked all too relaxed. But either why she should share this news with the boy behind her, maybe he has some way to get the other guys attention.

She groaned as she pulled her self up again... By this time she felt like she was acting like in a zombie movie.

As she reached within close meters with them, she let herself fall. He was still watching the girl, so nudged his leg with hers to get his attention.

"There water down the hill." Her voice cracked. "And there's a guy near it... He seems in good shape. I thought we could get him to help out but he hasn't noticed us."

God, that hum in his ears was driving him crazy. From being able to hear to just this noiseless void was seriously draining him. He felt out of place, almost as if this was just a dream, silent and hopefully not even happening. But his body ached, and the pain racked his body, proving it wasn't. The girl he had his arms around seemed to go still, just a slow rhythmic breathing now. His mind kept telling him to let her go, this was weird and maybe even inappropriate, but he knew she would just fall to the ground.

A nudge to his leg pulled him from his thoughts. It took a moment to register, and when he finally looks over at the other girl who had returned, he could tell she was speaking, and tried to read her lips, but his mind couldn't process it. He shook his head, "I can't hear..." But hopefully she could. He knew his throat was dry, and wasn't sure she would be able to make out what he said. "Water?" He choked out, pointing over the hill. That was what they really needed. Yet he didn't exactly wait for a reply, they couldn't just lay here, they would die. With a groan he managed to stand up, his legs nearly giving out on him. Using all the strength that remained he picked up the girl, cradling her in his arms the best he could. Her body hung limp, her head rolling to the side, arms and legs dangling. He took two unsteady steps, which were difficult, and he wondered how he would ever make it over the hill.

The boy picked up the other girl, stumbling along the way. He seemed to have gotten the idea that water was over the hill. The way he walked bothered her, he couldn't possibly make it while carrying the girl. It was exhilarating, but she knew she had to help him out.

It wasn't hard to catch up to them due to how slow they were. When she got there she realized she hadn't figured out how to help. She wanted to share the weight of the girl, but wasn't sure how. Would she carry her legs while he did to the other end. It didn't make any sense, her arms out reached towards him, trying to help without a single idea. Maybe she wouldn't be able to do anything after all....

Damnit, she was heavy. Or he was weak. She was actually quite small, so it had to be him. Shifting her in his arms, he managed to get a slightly better grip, but his whole body still ached. He wasn't sure how he was going to make it up the hill, but he was determined. Moving at a slow pace he kept going, until the other girl stepped in front of him. He was confused for a moment, but her awkward shifting made him realize she wanted to help. He shook his head in reply, "I'm good, you lead, I follow." It would have been a hassle for both of them to try, he was sure, and he didn't want to move the poor girl around any more than need be. She was still breathing, more regularly now, perhaps she was just sleeping. He hoped, anyways. With a groan and a little shirt he put one foot in front of the other, moving again. Actually moving a little faster now, his mind pushing him, telling him he just needed to make it a little farther, then they could rest.

She was quite surprised when he turned her help down, despite the poor shape he was in. She wondered idly, if he was just acting tough, because right now he certainly wasn't. He had told her to lead, but there was nothing lead about, he could see the stream just as well as she could. So she walked with him, stiffly making their way across.

Ahead of her, she noticed the figure had started moving, not towards them but he disappeared into a small group bushes. She pondered what the heck he was doing there, not that it really mattered though. Further along their walk, the figure appeared again holding a batch of plants in his hand. Yeah, he must be hungry. She moved a hand to her own stomach, glad that she had eaten more than she should have on the plane now.

At this point they were bordering their destination. Her legs were now basked in a slow, dull pain in place of the sharp sudden ones. She tried to put more burden on her better leg, her mind was filled with options to minimize her fatigue. She had became to preoccupied to notice the man near the stream waving at them.

Sure, he might seem like he was trying to show off, and maybe it was true, but he was managing, right? His whole body ached and trembled slightly, but he kept going, his eyes focused on the stream most of the time. Well, until he saw someone moving. Were they from the plane? He shook his head, wishing he had paid better attention to everyone who had been there. Instead he sat down, closed his eyes, and fell asleep. The man came from the bushes, and he watched him, trying to figure out what he was doing. Maybe he was going to help them? He sure needed it, he couldn't carry this girl much longer, and he wasn't sure he would be able to stand much longer either. Was he speaking to them? He saw him wave, but squinted and couldn't tell if his lips were moving or not. His eyes burned, the smoke had irritated them so much that he was surprised he could see at all. Man, wouldn't that be lovely? Deaf and blind.

With a sudden desperation he picked up his pace, moving as fast as he could towards the man. He needed a drink so bad, he had never been this thirsty in his entire life. As soon as he was close enough he laid the girl down on the ground along the waters edge and practically dove into the water, his body kneeling beside it, head submerged. The water was cold but felt amazing against his skin, and he drank until he was running out of breath. As he lifted his head up he was gasping for air, but he felt great.

Oh yeah, she needs some too, I bet. His hands were dirty, and he tried to rub them clean in the stream, but it didn't help much. Resigning he scooped some water up and held it over her, dripping some onto her mouth. It just slid down her lips and the side of her face. Cursing he grabbed her arms and shook her lightly, "Come on, wake up." He pleaded. Her eyes began to flicker open, a moan escaping her mouth.

She kept thinking about her miserableness until the boy beside her started to speed up. Looking up she found she was much closer to the water than she expected. Maybe this would be a method to stay distracted next time they cover long tracks. She returned her attention to him and saw that he was, of course going for the water. She also realized the movements of the the other one. Was he saying something? Sounded like a greeting of some sort.

She picked up her own pace to follow after him. Submerging her head in water as soon as she was near. God it felt good.

Beside her, he drunk himself and then attempted to cup some water to feed the unconscious one, without much success, but she seemed to have some reaction. Her eyes trembled and opened all too slowly. It gave her a surprise at how much she could be relieved over a stranger.

Behind her, she heard footsteps. "You'd be more successful feeding her with this than your hands." The dark haired boy held up a large leaf, serving as a container for the uncanny amount of water.

She barely broke a smile. "Thanks," as she carefully handed the leaf to the other boy.

Taking the leaf he scooped some more water up and carefully dripped it into the girls mouth, which was now slightly open. Her eyes were open as well, and he thought this was a good sign.

Oh god, where am I? What happened? I can't feel my hands! She wanted to scream, but all that came out was a hoarse cry. Suddenly, in her panic, she couldn't breathe. She was gasping for air, her body heaving, but she couldn't get enough. She managed to look around and there were strange people standing around her. Suddenly panicking she scrambled to move, trying to get away. Her mind was going crazy, and she didn't understand what was happening, why he body hurt so bad, but she needed to get away. Before she could get far the man on the ground beside her had grabbed her, wrapping his arms around her body, pinning her arms down. She struggled and kicked, trying to get free, her mind unable to form any words.

"Shh... Shh. We're trying to help you." He pleaded, close to her ear. It didn't stop her struggles, "Get away from me!" She tried to cry out, but it didn't stop him, he didn't let her go. "Let me go!" She pleaded, stopping her struggles, but not her will to get away. Her whole body was aching my now, the feeling in her hands returning, replaced with pain. Yet still, he didn't let her go. "God damn, what are you, deaf? Let me go!" She was actually getting irritated now.

When she was about to thank the boy again before she heard the annoyed complaints of a female voice. The girl finally woke up. And she was struggling and telling the boy to let go, but he didn't budge a muscle. Is he some sort of pervert? Can't he hear what she's saying? With a grumble, she placed a hand on the boy's arm and yanked. "She's telling you to let go."

Behind her the other boy seems vividly interested in what was happening, seeing as he had a unpleasant smirk on his face. She almost facepalmed herself. Great, another weirdo.

God, he was so confused, he was trying to stop her from freaking out. Before he could say anything the other girl had yanked on his arm. Still not understanding what was going on he simply let the girl go, scooting back from her as she flailed around. He wanted to defend himself, but he wasn't given the chance. She was kicking and punching at his legs for a moment, but he couldn't feel much, his whole body felt so numb. Shaking his head he closed his eyes. "Sorry..." He blurted out, or hoped he had anyways.

"What is your problem!" She cried as tried to scoot away. The panic had left her body temporarily numb, but as she was trying to calm down the pain started returning, first in her leg, then her hands. Afraid to see, but unable not to, she looked at her hands, they were red and blistered, and there was a large patch on his leg that looked even worse. She groaned, her hands feeling like they were on fire now. "What happened?!" She cried, desperately dragging herself to the stream, dunking her hands in, trying to cool them off, it helped, but only slightly.
