I purred as master scratched behind my ears and jumped onto the windowsill to watch her go. after a while, i leaped onto the floor and headed to the kitchen. My food dish was empty, a sign that something was going on with master. she never forgot a thing, and especially never forgot to feed me.

Man, that sucks. The place looks pretty trashed. Well, there's Victoria. Hope she had insurance on the place. Too bad the sheriff's still out of town. I wonder if that new deputy's any good...

Helen blew a puff of smoke into the cold winter air.
'Should I just make it another upside-down pyramid or something similar to Stockton's 12-2915?' As the architect continued to muse over what she would have to draw, her attention was caught by the group of people gathered around the bar.
"Hmh, wonder what's up?" she said to herself. She could see that the bartender was already inside, stepping through the damaged glassware on the floor. Helen walked over to the building to watch, stopping just behind the crowd's edge.
