Victoria stood waiting in the rain for him to pick her up....
she has been waiting for 45 minutes...
I cant believe he is standing me up again! She thought to herself. The sun was setting and she decided it was time to head home, when she got there she would call him and break it off, Another year wasted... She began to head home, rain soaking her new dress she bought for her One year with him..she was happy it was raining, that way no-one can tell she is crying..again.

((I hope I can just join like this...o 3o))

"Excuse me, miss," a foreign voice said as a black umbrella materialized over her. "But I don't believe a young lady as pretty as you should be crying by herself in the rain. Especially one as pretty as you."

Victoria looked up to the owner of the black umbrella, a young man in his early 20s speaking a dialect too proper for the modern era.

Victoria looked up to see a handsome face"Oh..Its fine, and I am not crying" She lied Hoping he would believe her and leave it be, she was in no mood to be talking with a man. Especially about him.....She begin walking forward "excuse me" Victoria said passing him, she could feel his eyes on her and sense him following her.

Ken chuckled to himself and jogged to catch up with her, still holding the umbrella out over her head.
"I've learned from experience that whenever a young lady says yes, she means no. So I'll take it that it is in fact not fine, and that you are crying. However," he said, slowing his steps. "It is not in my right to inquire as to the source of your tragedy. But allow me to repeat myself: a pretty face like yours should not be out alone crying, especially when it's getting dark out. The nights are dangerous."

Victoria stopped and turned to the man, " How so I know your not the dangerous one in the night?" She noticed his eyes...she always had a thing for eyes...she was sort of mesmerized but only for a mere moment then she looked away. "And your right its none of your business why I am crying, if I were crying."

Ken grinned.
"You don't," he said simply. "But there are worse things out there than me."

The rain had stopped falling, and the moon had completely replaced the sun. Ken folded up his umbrella and stowed it under his arm. He turned his head up to face the night sky, closing his eyes for a moment and appreciating the light of the full moon. When he looked back down, his brown eyes appeared to shine a pale blue. But as soon as he blinked, they turned back to brown.

"You will tell me your story when you are ready," Ken told her confidently. "But for now, allow me to escort you home."

"If you must" Victoria said to the handsome man, and she began walking towards her home.
Since it has stopped raining you can now clearly see that she had been crying and tried to hide it, but it was useless and she knew it, there was something odd about this man....

They walked in silence, making awkward conversation here and there.
"I just realized," Ken said. "That I have yet to introduce myself."
He stopped in the middle of the street and bowed formally to Victoria.
"You can call me Ken."

"Hello Ken, I am Victoria" She said with a slight smile. Ken. What a beautiful name..Not in the sense of fem. But just beautiful..peaceful. "Shall we?" and she kept walking forward, it seemed to be quite a walk to her home. Victoria became chilly, her arms goosing up and her teeth clattering.

Ken smiled.
"I certainly know who you are, Miss Victoria," he grinned. "I have known you for a long time."

Suddenly a gust of wind threw the nearby autumn leaves into a flurry.

"It appears I wasn't fast enough," Ken frowned, staring off into the distance.

"How do you know you I am?" She demanded "Fast enough for what?" She had a bad feeling in her gut....she stared at Ken. could she trust him? Her gut said yes, her mind said run...she was stuck..she wanted to know what he had to say but she feared the answers...

Ken stared at Victoria, his eyes a pale blue.
"Are you sure you want to know the answer to that question?"

Another gust of wind blew him to his senses, snapping Ken out of his trance.

"Hurry, Miss Victoria," he said urgently, grabbing her with one hand and opening his umbrella with the other. "We must get you home."

Before she could say anything there were both hurrying towards her home she managed to say "Yes, I want to know" Feeling sick she hurried along to keep up with him.
