Host:Hiko
A genuine smile painted it's self across his lips. Kara-chan was always so polite. No matter how many times in the last year that he told her to simply call him Hiko it was still Furukawa. They were friends but at least she was that way with the others in the club. "I'm only being honest, Kara-chan, the proof is sitting other there with your brother." He was of course referring to the nervous looking dark haired boy sitting with their 'Prince'.
Before the sister of said Prince, which would make her the Princess of their little club, Aya-chan bounded over to them. "AH Aya-chan, there you are, I was afraid you would be joining some other host today." He gave the little florist a teasing smile while he tousled the hair on the top of her head. "I made sure to get some of your favorite cakes." Nodding his head at Kara-chan he turned to lead the younger girl over to his table. " How was classes today?"

Guest: Kasumi
It was a lovely day the kind best spent outside so with that mentality Kasumi had opted for taking the slightly longer way to the 3rd music room. It wasn't like a little exercise was going to hurt her and it was a rarely used route that kept the person mainly following the outside of the main building. The weather was so nice that the indoors had a slit chill to them. Shrugging it off the brunette tried to remember if in any of Hiko rambling that morning if he had mentioned and particular theme the club would be doing today. As much as she liked the host club sometimes their themes were just plain weird. i twas no wonder her cousin was in the club.
When she slow steps had finally brought her to the large doors of the club room she paused. It sounded way to quiet on the other side. Which was good since it meant that they weren't too busy and Kara-sempai wouldn't mind her not making an appointment. Not that this would be the first time she had to wait for club time to be over with. Why Hiko and here had to go home together everyday was beyond her. Heaving a sigh she pushed open the doors braced for what ever was going on beyond the door.

(( Thanks for the warning/hint))

Kiri didn't quite agree. What was the point in being happy when you knew you were just going to be unhappy soon or in the near future? Kiri's eyes fluttered closed when Takumi's hand neared his cheek, his body had tensed almost as if expecting to be backhanded. The gentle touch caused his eyes to open and he blinked softly. Kiri shook his head ever so slightly. "I'm sorry...I don't mean to be rude...I just..It's just...You've been romancing me ever since I set foot in this room...so you cannot honestly say that you do not offer romance. The lilt of your voice, the dramatics that surround you, it's as if you exist only to cater to someone's romantic fantasy."

Honestly though, some small part of Kiri greatly enjoyed this attention, being treated so delicately. "...Please don't lie to me." Those words were whispered very softly, his eyes flickering down to the table then back to Takumi. "...There's nothing about me that should be admired, and it's hard to believe your sincerity when all of this seems so fake, seems almost staged." He fidgeted slightly in his seat, he was being very rude, and he half expected Takumi to throw him out of the room and forbid him from ever coming back in because of how rude he was being.

((No problem <3. I just warned you because i got in trouble for putting names above once *sigh* and didn't want you to suffer the same..... Mods have looked at posts i've done it this way though where i don't get any gold and it just distinguishes between characters and not said anything though so apparently if you don't get gold it's okay *shrug* it's weird. And yay! you must have liked Aya's nickname xD))

Quote:
Kara, Host
Kara simply shook her head, not arguing aloud only because Aya approached. Aya was a good guest and a wonderful asset so keeping her happy was of even more prime importance then most clients. Her art suffered when she was sad, so Kara would do nothing to distract the other host any further. She simply took out a small clip board and blank music sheets. She absently began to play with a few ideas, absently thinking that she didn't have many clients today. Oh well.

Quote:
Aya, Guest and Host Club Florist
"Really? You say that almost like you'd miss me" Aya half muttered in response, a blush crossing her features as her silvery gray eyes slid to the floor. She rebounded from the shy moment quickly, however, at mention of her favorite cakes. She always did have a sweet tooth. Sweet scents, sweet foods, sweet natured people, Aya loved them all. She gripped his hand in both of hers and started for the table as she beamed at him. Her eyes were once again on his and all shyness gone.

"My classes were okay except Umi-chan was out due to illness though so I'm a little worried about her. I will have to send her a bouquet, I think carnations would suit her best....But Hiko-kun! You didn't answer how you were doing." She responded as she turned to look at him with genuine concern. Usually when people didn't answer they were trying not to worry her. Such was her nature... she cared about everyone. Even classmates that she only saw a handful of times in class were people she cared deeply about, such as Umi who anyone else would have considered 'just another girl' in their class were they to switch positions with Aya.

Quote:
Irina, Guest
Irina had grown bored of the poem that Devon had chosen, even if another guest at his table loved it so had moved away. Not seeing anyone else she could just sit and listen with she headed to lean against the wall by the door. As her kendo club mate entered the door furthest from her she glanced over. She shook her head a little, her crimson hair half covering her face for a moment as she did so. She then looked forward again as she announced coldly.

"Flower girl's got him again so you have a wait ahead of you"

Quote:
Takumi, Host
"If i were romancing you I would do far worse then make honest comments about your appearance, my prince, even on a stage I would be allowed a kiss were I to be doing such things.... and Oh? You think this is someone's fantasy... does that mean this is your fantasy Kiri-kun?" Takumi continued to look hurt until he said the last, a bit of the mischief he and his sister shared creeping into his eyes. He leaned forward, his fingers trailing down Kiri's cheek before gripping the back of his chair slightly. He couldn't help but smile at the other, partially out of mischief and partially out of genuine desire to cheer the other man up. Takumi ultimately was a kind soul and hated to see anyone too down.

Inwardly however, he was making a mental note. A few compliments to Kiri was 'romancing' and kiri genuinely seemed to believe there was no good in him. Someone had done a number on kiri to tear him down... it was the only conclusion he could logically reach. It caused the actor to feel a ripple of protectiveness, his desire to protect others stronger then his desire to protect himself. It had made him get in trouble before, trouble Kara always managed to get him out of.

Kiri would have responded, but the last words out of Takumi's mouth caused him to blush furiously and look away. "N-no!" He spat the word out quickly and a bit loudly, which only seemed to make him blush all the more from the embarrassment. He kept his eyes on his unfinished cake and squirmed lightly. "..No..my fantasy's are never even half as sweet..." Kiri stood rather suddenly, feeling very embarrassed and completely inadequate. "I think I should go now!" The words tumbled from his lips quickly and he turned to make a quick dash for the door, unless Takumi stopped him.

Guest: Kasumi
Bowing her head slightly in respect to her Kendo mate and upperclassmen Blue eyes looked over in the direction of Hiko's. Sure enough the bubbly little black haired girl was chatting away at her cousin. Making a noise in the back of her throat Kasumi rolled her eye as Hiko patted the girls head. " If I'm lucky she'll keep him."
She really did love her cousin but he was just too much for her to handle most days. Turning her attention back to the red haired in front of her Kasumi gave her a small smile,"Why aren't you with a host Irina-sempai?" She really admired the older girl. Her talent in kendo was something that Kasumi hoped she could achieve one day, and it was always nice to see a fellow girl give the boys of their club a good scare. Plus she never felt to pressured to talk around the red head and since she had a tendency to be a little too blunt the less she felt she needed to say the better.

The sudden movement across the room, Takumi's table to be exact, Drew her attention. Normally the blond sempai was just as weird and over the top as her cousin so random movement in his direction wasn't abnormal. However for one of his clients to look as if they were going to bolt was something she hadn't seen since she had started coming to the club room.

Quote:
Host: Hiko
Letting Aya-chan take the lead he removed his hands from hers only when they reached his table so that he could pull her chair out for her. True to his word-as if he could lie to one of his sweet little girls- a tray of her favorite cakes sat in the middle of the table with small porcelain cups and matching plates set in front of each seat. " I would only allow you to move on to another host if I knew they would take care of my cute Aya-chan." The affection in his voice was just as real when he was talking to his own little sister-despite Kai-chan's constant reminder that they were just cousins.Hiko truly enjoyed treating all of the girls he knew like they were his own sister. Aya-chan made it easy. She was the opposite of his Kai-chan and would let him dote on her.
"I'm sure any arrangement you send well brighten her day greatly. You do such a great job with the ones in the Host Club. You truly are talented." Gesturing to the teapot then to her cup, "How I'm doing? Well your day was surely more eventful then mine. I was merely hoping to save you from boredom." Giving an obviously comical sigh she smiled across the table. "May day was quiet dull. I was so looking forward to coming being able to come here and here about all of the fun things you got to do in your first year classes."
The sound of a chair scraping across the floor did not go unnoticed. Dark eye glanced away from his client to take in what was going on with Takumi and this dark haired guest. Bracing himself to stand and intervene if the boy made a move towards his friend. Hiko got along well with the blond, the only issue being when he Kai-chan sat down at the prince's table and the man had the nerve to touch her. Looking over to meet Kara's eyes he waited to see what action the brains of their operation would take. All the while keeping relaxed as to not alarm Aya-chan though the girl was so familiar with them he wouldn't have been shocked if she had picked up on all of the host and hostess response.

Takumi, Host
Takumi couldn't help but smile at the other's bashfulness with a note of concern, even if inwardly he felt a ripple of anger at whoever had made the other male feel he couldn't even have this much sweetness. He glanced at Kara, again seeming to silently communicate with her and her with him. Apparently they decided to let Takumi handle it, though knowing Kara she had a bit of trouble doing so, as Takumi stood. He put an arm on the other male's shoulder, just enough to stop him for a moment.

"I would never force you to stay against your will, but you have no reason to leave. You have done nothing wrong, do please at least return tomorrow if you do not wish to stay today. This......is a safe place deliberately made for all Ouran students." He said quietly, for once the simple truth. He then let his shoulder go and moved to sit back down. He did not manuver the male back into the chair, afraid it would only scare him more, but let him make his own choice without another word.

Quote:
Irina, Guest
"Devon chose some particularly sentimental tripe today, and the other hosts are too busy" Irina answered with a look of disgust. Devon tried such poetry on her now and then, as if he as trying to make her show some emotion and it annoyed her.... still she tolerated him better then Takumi. Takumi had tried his schtick on her once and only once, resulting in Irina revealing something when he tried to touch her and get a little too close. Irina had promptly removed a collapsible metal version of a kendo shinai and threatened to crack his skull if he ever touched her without her permission again. Luckily for her Kara was home sick and Takumi didn't tell her so she could still visit the other hosts.... even if he wisely avoided her, and truthfully was likely a little scared of her. She didn't even glance at the shy male as he tried to bolt, not seeming to particuliarly care.

Quote:
Aya, Guest and Host Club Florist
Aya blushed as he spoke so protectively of her and relaxed as he began to speak of his day and her talent. The latter made her blush even more and she played with the white cuff of her uniform. She did believe she was good at that anyway, even if she thought herself good at nothing else despite her fairly good grades, but it was still nice to hear. She reached up to push a strand of her loose bangs behind her ear and shifted slightly in her chair, briefly shy though she got over ti quickly.

"I... I am sorry then I have nothing more to report! Visiting Hiko-chan is often the most exciting part of my day though" Aya said honestly. She wasn't attempting to flirt, or even to particuliarly say something sweet. It was just the truth in her eyes and she was too innocent to think how it sounded. Still even if she had the ability to discern so afterwards she didn't have the time. She glanced towards Kiri and frowned a little, a soft sigh escaping her petal pink lips.

"Kiri chan...He's so sad, I thought Takumi would cheer him up..." She said almost remorsefully. She had left the male behind, figuring one person would be less intimidating then two. Now she was wondering if it was a mistake and was torn between trying to run over to comfort the male and staying there with Hiko.... Hiko had seemed so very happy to see her. It wasn't that she didn't feel the same, no, it was just that when someone seemed to be hurting her feelings didn't factor in.

Kiri felt their eyes on him, everyone seemed to be watching him, which made him want to flee all the more. But he was stopped by Takumi's touch, flinching just slightly at that touch. Light brown eyes met blue and he squirmed lightly, looking very uncertain as Takumi spoke. "...But..." His sentence faltered. What could he say? He had half expected to be kicked out anyway just because he had been so rude and hurt Takumi's feelings earlier with the rude things he had said. He was honestly surprised that the other had stopped him, and even more surprised that Takumi wanted him to come back tomorrow.

When Takumi let him go, Kiri stood there, looking so very uncertain and a little lost. Slowly he returned to his seat. Honestly he had no where to go and nothing else to do, well he could go home, but he wasn't eager to do that. Kiri was still feeling very embarrassed and completely inadequate. He didn't belong in this room, or with someone that wanted to give him so much attention. Attention he didn't even deserve, but Takumi had called this a 'safe place' and that was the main reason why Kiri had sat back down. His eyes were on the table. "I'm sorry." He mumbled the apology softly.

A yawn can be heard as one of the taller hosts enters the room. Unlike the others who appear to be charming or doting, this one seems to be nowhere near similar. With blond hair and blue eyes one might associate him with the twins; however his hair is rather unruly and his eyes have a rather lazy quality to them. Also unlike the other hosts, he doesn't pay much attention to his surroundings as he moves to take a seat at his usual couch, scratching the back of his head in a half-asleep manner. Noboru Takeshi was one of the more odd members of the club, and had a surprising fan-base due to his LACK of paying attention or caring for the customers. It was certainly something he didn't understand, just like how he didn't get why Haninozuka-dono insisted he join the club in the first place. It was filled with nothing but flirts and egotists.

Takeshi, although seemingly lazy, was actually the 'guard' of the club. The person that would be alerted if people started trouble and needed to be 'escorted' out of the club. With various levels of politeness(see: none) when doing so. Regardless of all that he was currently late, but what could he say; after all nobody bothered to wake him up when class was over. Changing his mind he instead doesn't sit down and moves to a portion of the club where the necessities for making tea are, as well as a simple coffee pot. The object seemed out of place due to its inexpensive appearance among the pricey objects surrounding it, but it was obviously used.

It takes several minutes of prep but Takeshi is rewarded by a mug(with a handle designed to look like brass knuckles) full of hot coffee with some cream and sugar. With the miracle liquid in hand he returns to his couch and finally sits down, slowly drinking and enjoying his coffee. At least he had something to look forward to whenever he came to the club.

Takumi, Host
Would you like some more tea? Yours is cold... Takumi asked softly, waving away the apology with a hand. He simply gave the other male a smile and the softest touch of the back of kiri's hand with the tips of his fingers as if to reassure. He then sat back, his own hands beginning to reach for the tea again. He was already thinking of how much honey the male had liked before and adjusting it for what would be late in the cup. Takumi saw no reason to draw attention to the earlier incident, he didn't want to make him fee even shyer.

Quote:
Irina, Guest
Irina watched the familiar silent host enter, knowing she already scheduled time with him. It wasn't because she particularly liked him, it was simply because she found him the least annoying. Kara was female, Takumi was too flirty, Devon was too sappy, Hiko was too brotherly, so that left her with the silent type. She might have stayed at the wall but Kara was already looking like she was ready to start in on him for not taking her to the table. She rolled her eyes and pushed off the wall.

"Devon's free, Furukawa-san" she said, her polite terms wrapped in a little sarcasm that made it clear she didn't care. She didn't say anything more until she sauntered over to Takeshi. She would give him a gentle head slap, more like another guy then a girl as she half flopped onto the couch and put her hands back in her pockets. She explained the head slap with a look of disgust, her gaze breifly going to first Takumi and then to Devon.

"You're late! You made me have to listen to Devon's poetry....it was about a rose again. You owe me." Irina said flatly, no real expression in her voice. Then again she was often this way.... more like another guy friend then a girl fawning over him. She was cold to him as anyone else, but she seemed to respect Takeshi which was more then could be said for many others... including her father and half the teachers her.

Seeing the situation resolved the brunette shrugged it off as someone not taking Takumi's brand of hosting very well. The blond was a bit out there with his flirty hosting ways. Which was why she liked to sit at his table every now and then if only to see her cousin flip out. Normally she preferred Kara-sempai or Takashi-sempai since neither one forced much conversation. Turning to face the host that her Kendo club mate was taking about she sighed. Devon-sempai's poetry while beautiful it wasn't the type of thing she thought Irina-sempai would indulge in. Not that she knew what the other female Kendo member did out side of school. " His stuff is kind of mushy but lovely all the same." One of her straight to the point observation.
As the older girl walked away the brunette bowed her head slightly and made her way over toward the black haired host, the one not related to her. She didn't mind Devon-kun's poetry. Like she had told her red haired sempai she thought his poetry was nice. Walking over to table that the 'cool' host occupied. " Good day Devon-San. I see you chased away Irina sempia."

Really Aya-chan was so cute sometimes. Worrying about the boy, Kiri-chan as she had called him, so openly. It was one of the things he did enjoy about the girl her feelings were right on her face at all time. That and she didn't openly flirt with any of the host. " I'm sure the boy is fine, Takumi can be a bit much for first timers but our Prince knows when to reel it in." At least he was almost sure that Takumi wouldn't over do it. The host prince seemed to have the situation under control. Takashi didn't even have to step in.
"Besides I'd much rather hear Aya-chan talk about these beautiful flower you have set up for the host clubs."
Glancing around at all of the colorful bouquets his dark eyes lite up at the sight of his Kai-chan talking to Ira-chan. Then she did one of the worse thing he could think of. She walked right passed his table, with out even looking at him, and took a seat at Devon's table.

"Yes... she does not appreciate my poetry like some ladies do. Is there any type of poetry you would like to listen to?" Devon said with a small smile. He, as always seemed unaffected by those who did not choose him. He bowed to the other woman gracefully and waved her towards one chair before he sat slowly in his seat. He leaned back, one arm casually thrown over the chair and the other hand laying it's long graceful fingers over his book. To be truthful Devon rarely sat, he more sprawled like some dark cat watching it's prey. He was just always so comfortable, so relaxed that proper posture would have simply seemed unlikely.

Aya frowned a moment, still gazing at the two. It was clear the friendly girl wanted to go over and comfort the boy but she was afraid of overwhelming him even more. She felt torn, wanting to spend this opportune time with Hiko but but she also wanted to help. Of course, then Hiko started to ask her about flowers. Instantly she'd turned towards him to say she used the baby breath because the color contrast with the other flowers as well as the fact it meant innocence. She thought innocence suited the start of a new year and the end of spring. Before she could speak of the other flowers, however, she noticed the other girl pass the table and the hurt that always appeared in his eyes.

"Hiko-kun! I'm going to try to bake cookies this weekend, as a gift for a family friend who has been ill, and I would really appreciate if you would try them for me to make sure they're okay. What are your favorites? I want to make sure it's a type you like too, Kisharano-san loves them all." She said as she tried to distract him, taking one of his hand into hers. She looked up at him with puppy dog eyes, as if she was really asking a great favor of him. She gave him a warm smile and tilted her head to the side. She was to innocent to lie, she did intend to give Kisharano-san a gift and he was ill. He was a friend of her fathers and had been almost like an uncle. She hadn't decided on cookies, however, until that moment or that Hiko should try them until she saw his upset.

"I'm..not good in social situations..or with strangers..I'm sorry." Kiri felt he should apologize again, bowing his head slightly and gripping his pants legs tightly. Though he had looked up at Takumi and nodded slightly at the offer of more tea. For a brief moment, Kiri wondered if maybe he and Takumi could be friends. Real friends, and hang out together outside of the school. It was only a brief moment, and it caused him to blush slightly again. Kiri turned his head, looking around the room for a moment, and noticing that someone had slipped in without his notice. Apparently another host, and Kiri flinched inwardly when Irina smacked that boy on the back of the head. The slap hadn't seemed to hurt the guy, so maybe it was just a friendly slap? Kiri's attention quickly returned to Takumi.

You are doing fine my prince... and i wouldn't worry about those two. They are both a little rough around the edges and far to thick skulled to be hurt. Though i must say i much prefer your company over theirs" He said quietly, clearly picking up on the wince. As he finished he winked and laughed softly, his hands busy pouring the tea. Soon he had the tea ready, his gaze on the other male. He smiled warmly at the other male, inwardly pushing away an inward thought.

Honestly Irina scared the hell out of him... then again she had also threatened to break his skull if he touched her without her permission again. He called her a demon when he and kara were alone though his only explanation was the cold wind of the devil surrounded her. If he told Kara the full truth then there'd be all out war and he didn't want that. He was half afraid she would hurt Kara, or worse the two would get along and he'd have the demon visiting his house.

Host:Hiko
Forcing his eyes away from the sight of his favorite brunette sitting at some other host's table the Furukawa heir made sure all traces of sadness were gone from his smile. Kara-chan had ' no upsetting Aya' rule. Her flowers kept the place colorful and always smelling of beautiful flowers. Hiko was not willing to upset both Aya-chan and Kara-chan with his depression over Kai-chan's blatant dismissal of him. Reaching over the table to gently pat the little black haired girls head with his free hand he smiled once more at her attempt to cheer him up. Aya could read all of the host so very well." I'm sure your cooking skills are on par with your floral arrangements. Your poor family friend will be feeling better in no time."Pulling his arm back he sat properly in his chair and took a casual sip of his tea. "I would be deeply honored to taste test your backing for you. I'm partial to sugar cookies but anything you bring is sure to be perfect."
He would spoil Aya-chan with affection for the rest of club then snatch his Kai-chan away from Devon as soon as it was time to leave.

Quote:
Guest:Kasumi
Kasumi sat with her back parallel to the back of the couch, good posture was not only something her family enforced but one needed it in both Kendo and Judo. Her school bag sat propped up against the leg of the couch. "Something with substance." The main enjoyment she got out of listening to poetry was that she was so focused on trying to figure out just what the poet was trying to say she would block out all other thoughts. She had never been good with words, hers or others. She took peoples words at face value and meant everything she said. It made classic Japanese her worst subject. So listening to Devon-sans poetry was like practice. Also while Devon was resiting poetry she wouldn't feel the need to talk which was why he was one of her preferred host. Him and Takumi though the blond's theatrics reminded her too much oh the way her cousin acted around her.

Of course," was Devon's off hand reply as he began to flip through the book he always kept. Some were his own poems and some were ones by favorite artists, generally the latter of which had not only the name of the artist but notations on the side of the poem with devons personal thoughts or critics. He found one by a new artist that had metaphors within metaphors but was ultimately appearing to describe a simple scene of a boat leaving a dock as viewed from a flower covered hill. Almost everyone who read it seemed to come up with a different 'true' feeling or emotion despite the tale that was told within it. More then likely this was the writers intended purpose. He began softly, yet his voice always seeming to bring something more to the poem. As always he would not cease until the last word, no matter what tried to interrupt him.

Breezes to stir a flowers scent, they ripple over sails until the sails are waves upon the snow white clouds. The sky becomes a sea in the eyes of man...The world turned on its head by the softest breeze..."

((xD i just made up a few lines on the spot to give a feeling of a poem xD so yeah... ))

Quote:
Aya, Guest and Host Club Florist
Aya smiled as she was patted, even if inwardly she wasn't so sure of the man being cheered. Still it did seem a good idea to continue acting as if he was. Sometimes acting cheerful made one feel more cheerful after all. She looked thoughtful a moment as he suggested sugar cookies. Simple to make, light on the stomach, light flavor... they sounded perfect. She beamed at him a moment and nodded enough that even her heavy ponytail would sway a bit.

"Sugar cookies sound like a really good idea! They should be light on uncle's stomach and everything! I wouldn't say i'm a very good cook though..." Aya admitted with a blush, briefly almost frowning...almost. The truth was for all her outgoing personality she had a very low opinion of herself outside of flower arranging... then again maybe that was part of the problem. She was such a genius at flower arranging she could bring tears to a persons eyes with certain ones and even requested to do wedding bouquets for the rich and famous that when she was merely average in something it felt like a failure.

The simply lines repeated through the more martial arts inclined girls mind. What did the poet even mean by that. Her lips twisted into a frustrated pout as she narrowed her blue eyes in concentration. The first line was simple enough. The wind was blowing the sails of a boat and it smelled like flowers. The last part of the poem however made no sense to her at all. The sky couldn't become the sea. They were two separate things.Sure if you stared off into the ocean then at the horizon it looked like the two were touching but that was just what the human eye could perceive from a far distance. It had nothing to do with becoming the sea. Unless what that what the writer meant. He was talking about the horizon. If that was true why not just say ' from here the horizon appears to be the sky and the ocean meeting. The very last line threw her completely. The world could not be turned by a breeze. Letting that line play around in her mind for a few minutes she let her face soften with a defeated short of sigh.
" I get the first part and the overly worded way to talk about the horizon but I just can't understand the last line." Pretty words didn't impart feeling on her as much as she saw them a challenge to cut away all of the useless frill and understand what the owner of the words met. Which was tiring. This was why she preferred the more physical aspects of life.Like Judo it didn't matter what your opposition said it was what their body did that either won or lost you the match.

Host Hiko
Waving away at cute little half frown on her face Hiko gave her his most encouraging smile. " Nonsense,Aya-chan, I'm sure your cookies will be delightful." Taking a small plate with one of her favorite cakes on it he placed it in front of her with a desert fork."in fact I'm positive they will be better then even the cakes that we serve here." Now he had never tried any of her backing before. He had though tasted some of the chocolates from his guest during last year's valentines and where some were delicious other proved that their makes talents were elsewhere. He truly did believe that Aya-chan's cookies would be perfect just like her flowers. Pouring some more tea into his cup he looked over into her own." More tea?"

Takeshi, with practiced ease, moves his mug to the side when he gets smacked before going back to drinking the dark liquid. "They didn't wake me up once classes ended, sorry for being late to the appointment. I'll add an extension equal to the wait time, free of charge." With a minor flick of his wrist a 500 yen coin appears in his hand from his sleeve which he begins to flip between his fingers. He had grown used to the antics of this guest, a part of him questioning the potential for her to be tsundere or if she simply has a chip on her shoulder. Though honestly he didn't much care either way. She was whom she was and the same applied to him. Now he simply let the comfortable silence form between him and the guest and let things return to the status-qua.

Kiri nodded slightly and once Takumi was finished preparing the tea for him, he reached out to take it. Bringing the cup to his lips and drinking a few small sips from it. When he set the cup down, he picked up his fork, looked at it, and then at the cake that he had only taken very few bites from. He felt bad for not eating it all, but it was so sweet, even if it was very delicious, besides his father wouldn't approve. Kiri set the fork down and pushed the small cake plate away just slightly.

Kiri leaned forward slightly, his hands now gripping the edge of the table gently. His voice was a soft whisper, and as he spoke a dark blush crept across his features. "Are you...Do you really mean that? I find it a little hard to believe that you're enjoying my company." It was a little difficult for Kiri to believe, but if it were true. The thought made his heart skip a beat and his blush deepen a bit. No one had ever admitted to enjoying his company. He was so quiet and kept to himself so much people usually ignored him or just didn't notice him at all and his father certainly never enjoyed his company.

That fleeting thought of his father made him frown for a moment, sadness flicker across his eyes before it was gone as he leaned back away from the table to sit up straight in his chair once more. "Are you just saying such things because you think it will make me smile?" It was true, earlier Takumi had said that part of the point of the club was to make others smile.

Takumi, Host
"You blush adorably and you are not cold or cruel...Why wouldn't I? Silly Prince. I could spend all day like this" Takumi chided in a playful, teasing way. He set the tea pot down and resisted the urge to rub his head where Irina had threatened to crack it open. He suppressed a shudder, yes he most certainly meant it. He would enjoy anyone's company more then hers. He still swore she was possessed, no woman could make the room temperature drop like she could otherwise! He pushed away the thought, however, and gazed at Kiki once more with that intense steamy gaze that so easily made many women, and some men, swoon.

Quote:
Devon, Host
Devon refused to answer her interruption, continuing on with a shrug. He didn't stop until the 18 line poem was fully finished, his voice twisting and turning it even more as if he enjoyed the confusing metaphor. He would say nothing of her interpretation as always. Whenever he was pressed he would say only that a poem grew into its own in the human heart and there was no right answer. Once he finished he simply gave the woman a smile.

Aya, Guest and Host Florist
"Me? No, No i could never be that good of a baker," She laughed, her blush becoming deeper. She squirmed a moment but looked at the cake. She couldn't resist eating another, even though she'd had one at Takumi's table when trying to cheer kiri. She nibbled the cake happily, nodding as he offered her more tea. She gazed up at him a moment thoughtfully, wondering inwardly if she should rely on him alone for tasting it. He would probably say it was good no matter how badly it tasted.

Quote:
Irina, Guest
"Excuses, Excuses," was Irina's reply as she waved at him dismissively. She only glanced at the coin before returning her attention to the tea. Half the time they sat there ignoring each other and this was one such occasion. She would take out a book of hers and start working on a school assignment. It was science, something she always found difficult, but she would never ask for help. No instead she'd reread the same page a few times to figure out the answer herself, even if it took twice as long.

Telling him that he 'blushed adorably' only made Kiri blush even more. He shifted in his seat some. Still Kiri had so much difficulty believing Takumi's words, he wanted to believe the other boy so badly but it was so hard. "You...You really like me, enough to spend a whole day with me?" He sounded a little uncertain, a little fearful, and a little hopeful. It was a nice feeling though, a feeling of being wanted. Still Kiri was afraid that this boy was just teasing him. Still the way Takumi gazed at him, it made his heart flutter in a strange way and made a soft sigh leave his lips. Kiri very nearly swooned, and his blush deepened rather noticeably. All that blood rushing to his head, sooner or later it would probably make him dizzy.

Hotaru pushed open the door of the host club, a slight pout on her lips as she entered the room. She was late and Kara was undoubtedly going to yell at her, well she would just have to nip that in the bud real quick. The door closed softly behind her, and Hotaru immediately scanned the room for Kara. She noticed a boy with Takumi that she hadn't seen before, she made a mental note to introduce herself later. Her gaze settled on Kara, and Hotaru's expression turned to an apologetic one. Almost immediately upon seeing Kara, Hotaru started towards the other girl at a run, not a crazy run, just one of those cute girlish runs, once she reached Kara, Hotaru threw her arms around the blonde girl and nuzzled her cheek against Kara's. "I'm sorry for being late, I got distracted." She pulled back, letting Kara go, pouting ever so slightly and fluttering her lashes a bit. "Will you forgive me, Kara-chan?"

Takumi, Host
"Of course my prince," Takumi responded with that soul melting smile he had inherited from his father. It was the truth too. Takumi was inwardly an incredibly lonely soul. He feared being alone more then death itself, it was one reason the host club made him so happy... even if he thought his guests only liked him because of his similarity to his father. He was use to it now though, the expectation to always be like his father but better because he had a twin! He showed none of this, however, his sparkling eyes shining nothing but joy at the other male.

Quote:
Kara, Host
Kara glared the way of the late hostess, deciding this time she wouldn't let her get away with it. As she watched her run, and had a mental image of something only she knew, she briefly found herself lost for words but she quickly pushed away the thought. She had just managed to start to yell at her when she had nearly pounced and hugged her. She let out a yelp that caught Takumi's attention but she held up a hand to indicate she was fine even as the girl rubbed against her. She sighed and shook her head.

Izanami-san, you must be more responsible! .......Just be more careful next time" Kara stated simply, starting strong at first before simply trailing off and muttering the last. She began to try to adjust her tie and jacket, being she wore the male uniform that did nothing to hide her very classic womanly figure, but it was little use as long as the other woman held onto her like that. With one hand on the top of her tie and the other on her jacket she gave the other woman a stern look.

Kiri's eyes had widened the slightest bit for a moment, and he leaned towards Takumi some. "Does that...would that mean that we're friends?" Kiri seemed uncertain and almost afraid to ask such a question. Takumi probably thought he was really stupid, the blonde would probably just go laugh about him and say things about him later to his real friends. Those thoughts caused Kiri to pull back, shift in his seat and look as if he were ready to jump up and run away again. He was being stupid, no one would be friends with him. No one even liked him. But Takumi seemed so nice, so surely the blonde was being sincere..Right? Kiri was so lost in those thoughts he hadn't even noticed when the other girl entered the club.

"You're always so formal, Kara-chan." Hotaru pouted as she took a slight step back from Kara. She reached out to gently swat Kara's hand away from the tie and began to straighten it gently for Kara. Hotaru took a step closer to Kara, her hands still on the other's tie. "It would mean so much to me, if you called me Hotaru." She spoke the words sweetly as she watched Kara's face for a moment. Then she had released the other's tie, and ran her hands over her own clothes to smooth them a bit. Hotaru wore the girls uniform, but she didn't really like the dress, it wasn't very flattering to her figure and the color was rather bleh for her tastes. "Kara-chan, who is that handsome thing with Taku-kun?" She had turned slightly to watch Takumi's table.

Takumi, Host
For a moment Takumi looked surprised, clearly not having expected that question. Honestly by his look it would seem no one had asked him that before. In truth, they hadn't. He'd been asked to be lovers before, and simply reminded them of club rules, but never to be friends. It made him feel a little happy, even though inwardly he absently thought it was only due to him acting so open and flattering as his father. If he had not, kiri would not be asking him this now. Still as he recovered he gave the other man a smile and leaned forward on interlaced fingers.

"if you would like to be... of course. There is no such thing as to many friends!"

Quote:
Kara, Host
Kara was use to the complaint about her formality but was surprised as she found her hands swatted away. She started to glare only to blush faintly as the other woman grew a little closer then was normal and straightened her tie. The other woman was growing more bold with her flirtation it seemed... Especially as she entreated Kara to call her only what family and a lover would be allowed. Still she pushed it away as Hotaru being hotaru, it was nothing to do with her she told herself absently. She would not be fooled like one of the guests.

"That is Kiri, a new and shy guest Izanami-san. You will leave him be, my brother is enough to handle." She instructed the other woman sternly, her face once again the mask it generally was. She reached up to adjust her tie and jacket one more time, as if to say she could do it herself. It was childish, petty... but she always felt stirred to such a thing when Hotaru pushed to close... as if to try to create distance between them.

Kiri blinked, wide eyed and startled looking. He stared at Takumi almost disbelieving, the blonde had seemed a little taken aback at the question but the answer he had given made Kiri's heart jump a little. Still it also made Kiri afraid, what if Takumi was really lying, just so he could have fun at Kiri's expense? Still the blonde didn't truly seem to be that kind of person, then again, Kiri wasn't sure how that kind of person would seem. There were so many doubts and so much hope, slowly Kiri shoved most of the doubts away. "Then...Then we could...we could do things outside of the school? Like..uhm....." Kiri's sentence faltered and he looked so unsure now. What did friends do away from school? Sure they saw movies together, but what else? Kiri couldn't think of anything. He fidgeted nervously.

Hotaru pouted at Kara, as the girl just simply refused to stop being formal. That pout only lasted a few seconds though. Her attention quickly going back to Takumi's table. "I just want to go say hello to him. He looks like he wants to run away anyway." She was sure she would have her chance sooner or later, it would probably be more later than sooner though. Hotaru looked at Kara and smiled sweetly. "Would you have some tea with me, Kara-chan?"

Takumi, Host
"My sister and I were going to a movie next week, you could join us." Takumi said with a shrug, making it clear they were a set package. It was against policy to do such a thing, but he'd asked the right question for takumi to slip. Still he could get his sister to let him slide... he could get Kara to do anything really. Even when they were little he could always cry and pout and get her to give him his dessert. He'd grown less selfish since then but that was when he'd realized how much of a softie she was regarding him... if only him.

Quote:
Kara, Host
"He's actually doing much better then earlier... so just leave the boy be or you will regret it... but fine fine, if it'll make you behave sit and we'll have tea." Kara responded, though what she could threaten the other girl with she wasn't sure. She could always refuse to let her take part in host activities for a few days... it'd lose money but not as much as losing a costumer would. She shook her head and began to set up the tea things, pausing briefly as it occurred to her this could have been the brunnette's plan all along. Who among the club members didn't know that threatening to do something to endanger the club or Takumi's reputation would make kara do just about anything? Still... she did nothing but continue to set up the tea as she briefly wondered if the flirt could be so devious.
