Rose shuddered as she felt being warmed up by the sun "S-so c-cold..." she was now being protected by the tree as the man had gotten up to try again, however, Nightcrawler was now in front of him "Oh another mutant, I was just taking her to the hospital, but, it seems you would rather have her har-" before he could finish what he was saying, he was knocked out by the tree and this time he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon. "Um, I t-think we s-should get going soon" she stated still trying to warm up "I dont know him, but, I'm not sure I want to"

Rouge finally rolled out of bed, she was never a morning person and never planned on being up an earlier then 10. She was glad that she had gotten to sleep a little longer and padded her way to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror she sighed and went and took a long hot shower. When she got out she felt a little more awake and headed back to her room and got dressed in her regular outfit, pants, t-shirt, leather jacket, army boots, communicator ear piece, and gloves. She could never forget her gloves; being the only thing that protected everyone else from her sometimes deadly power she didn’t need that right now. She went over to her window and opened the curtains and looked out at the mansions landscape.

Leaving her room Rouge headed to the kitchen, the hallways seemed pretty empty but there was probably classes going on at the moment and plus she knew that some of the other X-men were assigned to scout out rally points today. She made herself some bacon and eggs along with some coffee and sat down at the table to eat. It was peaceful and she was glad for it, one thing she knew was that before she was ready or if it was early in the morning she did not have a very temper. Once she was done she put her dishes in the dishwasher and left the kitchen to wander around.

After getting bored wandering around the mansion Rouge left and headed into the city to see if she could catch up with the others to see if she could be of any help. She hadn’t gotten the message about the attack from Juggernaut, being asleep and all. She walked along the city streets and acted as normal as possible, keeping her hands in her pockets and walked and a careful speed. She knew what was going on in the city with the rallies and all that but she felt a little more comfortable knowing that she had back up. She saw the giant crater and sighed, it looked like this morning had not have been as peaceful and she had thought it had been. She looked around and tried to find where the others had gone.

Trina shook her head, slightly dumbfounded. No human had ever rebuffed her like that. Usually they were easier to convince. Mutants were more likely to be able to resist. That got her thinking. He couldn't possibly be human. Not with how easily he had shrugged her off. She made a mental note to keep a closer eye on this one.

She turned and looked at the guard, mentally searching his brain. Luckily, he knew the layout of the building. She took a minute to gather the information before moving on. Trina stepped off the curb and spotted Anna standing near the crater. "Hey Rogue." She said. In public, she only uses their code names out loud, careful to protect their identity. "As you can see, we had a little showdown with Juggernaut. Don't worry, you didn't miss much. It was pretty anticlimactic." She stood next to the girl and looked down at the crater. It certainly made things seem more interesting, that's for sure. "Nightcrawler's off tracking a young mutant girl we ran into. She helped take old Jugger down. Interested in tagging along while I go find them?"

Trina was one of the few people who didn't object to Anna joining the X-Men. She knew what it was like to be scared, alone, with new, developing abilities and no control over them. That was the most terrifying time in her life. Anna was a good person, deep down. Her aiding in the Brotherhood was the actions of a scared, easily manipulated girl. She didn't fully understand what she was doing. So her decision to join the X-Men was a huge display of individuality, maturity, and a decision to use her powers for good. When the X-Men threatened mutiny, Trina stood by Professor X. After all, the man had seen potential in her and given her a chance. Anna deserved one too, and Trina had no doubt the professor could see huge potential in Anna's unheard of abilities. The man was hardly ever wrong in these sorts of things. So Trina had always been kind and welcoming towards Anna. She wanted her to feel comfortable in her new home and unique career choice. This was not an easy life.

Nightcrawler nodded, moving forward to the girl. He picked her up, holding her close. His fur was normally very warm, as Emma had once said it was like wearing a fur coat all year round. He knew it would keep her warm, as he began making his way back to the institute. He took it slow, not wanting his teleporting to overdo it with the girl in his arms. He knew for those who were not used to it, it was quite the experience, took a bit for the rest of you to catch up. They eventually made it, and he took her to the clinic, laying her on one of the beds so she could get a bit of rest. "Stay here, I will return later to make sure you are alright, but for now.." he visioned the Professors office in his mind, before disappearing. He had some things he would have liked to discuss with him.

Avias looked over to where the female had gone. She seemed to buy his explination, though he wasn't sure if he had given anything away. He sat his case down on the ground before opening his car door. He didn't even notice the small orb robot roll out of it. He picked it up, to agitated to notice much else, before getting into his car. As he drove away, orbie flapped his little metal plate like wings before rolling across the grass. He knew about Avias, having their minds linked due to his power. He was also an AI, so he had the ability to think and process on his own. He rolled over to the woman's foot, bumping against it. When she at first didn't notice, since she was adressing the second girl, he backed up before ramming back into her leg a bit harder this time.

Trina felt the thump against her leg, and she looked down, puzzled. She noticed the orb that had examined them earlier, attempting to get her attention. "What the..." She reached down and picked it up, the little metal wings flapping idly while it sat in her palm. It looked as if it was waiting for a command, or at least for her to speak to it. "Erm." She began. "What are you?" It was best to know what she was dealing with. If he was a bomb, she couldn't be near human population if it decided to detonate. She looked over at Anna, an apologetic look on her face. "I need to get to the institute quick. Take my bike when you're ready to come back." She tossed the girl her keys, and rose into the air, keeping a firm grip on the warm metal in her hands. It chirped once, when she began moving forward, zooming past the buildings, weaving in and out of alleyways. Once she was well past the city, she slowed down and directed her attention at the little robot before her. "So. What are you?" She didn't know if it was the right question to ask, but she had to start somewhere. It did look eager for her attention, for whatever reason.

Orbie spun in the woman's hand, his little eyes making an n shape to show happiness. When they neared the mannor, he flew out of her hand, zooming towards the building. His AI processing it as where the X-Men were, due to the data it had been compiling. He also knew that this would be a good place for Avias, away from his mean old parents. He booped happily, spinning before he darted into a window in the manor.

It wasn't until he got home, and finally had a chance to sit on the couch, that Avias noticed Orbie was gone. He placed a hand over his face "oh no Orbie." He sighed, opening his eyes and stood. He walked over to his laptop, and began typing quickly away. It wasn't long till a little red dot lit up on the map. Orbie was at the home of Chareles Xavier. That was a big problem. If anyone managed to get into Orbies memory, they would have seen the footage with him talking to him on the roof. He had to get the AI back, and fast. He grabs his keys once more, setting out for the manor. He had to be close enough to get the robot out of there. He couldn't have him flying alone halfway across town, he would be snatched up very quickly. He headed out and got into his car, taking off quickly.

It... smiled at her? And then it booped again before zooming into a window at the manor. Well. This was not the direction she thought this encounter would go. Trina was completely bewildered. It seemed the little orb was on some sort of adorable mission. She kind of liked the creature. It was kind if cutsey. She smiled and landed in front of the front door. She grasped the handle and pushed it open before walking in. "Um. Little round dude. Where'd you go?" She looked around, listening for more beeping. Trina walked to the first hallway junction, and before she could cross, the little orb zoomed past her, beeping happily and zig zagging jauntily. This little thing was starting to grow on her.

Orbie found his way into a room, waddling over to the desk where a computer sat. He looked up at the large desk before quirking his head to the side. He hopped up onto the chair then the desk, pulling out a small cable from his chest. Wadling to the ports, he attempted to put it in, but met with resistance. He was still new, so didn't realize he was putting it in sideways. He kept bumpping it against the port, before turning it over and trying again which did nothing. He tilted his head, analyzing the problem, before turning the cable once more to the right direction. When it fit, he gave a happy chirp, doing a little dance and turning around. Unfortunately his wire got wrapped around his little feet, causing him to fall over. He rocked side to side like a turtle on its' back, wiggling his wings and feet chirping.

Trina heard the chirping in one of the various offices in that wing. Eventually, she found the right one, where the little orb creature was rolling on it's back, feet caught in a wire that was attached to it's chest and plugged into the computer. Trina put her hands on her hips, shaking her head and laughing. "You aren't going to find very much there, if it's information you're after. These are the open offices for the students to do their homework in peace, instead of working in the library." She untangled him and returned the cable back to his chest, before picking him up and carrying him out. "Come on, let's go find you're... owner? Operator? Hmm." She made her way back towards the front of the building.

He didn't stay in her hand very long, wiggling free. The little wings working fast to carry him away to look around some more. He zoomed around curiously, taking in all the sites, and making a map of everything. He landed in front of Chareles office, and tilted his head. He raised a wing to tap on the door a bit not really understanding what a human would want a big hunk of wood for. He tilted his head the other way, before turning and waddling off down the hallway.

Avias stopped his car a ways down from the entrance to the institute. What was he going to do, it wasn't like he could just go up there and ask for his robot back. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Orbie, what have you gotten us into" he could feel the little AI inside, though much else without a more defigned link was a bit impossible. He closed his eyes, and much like on the roof everything around him turned to black. He opened his eyes so that they were glowing similar to before. He didn't want to have to do this but their was no choice.

Orbie froze, his normally blue eye color turned green. With Avias inside his mind now, he looked around and turned a bit to get a better understanding of his location. He then promptly locked down, returning to his ball like shape, and began to roll through the institute, looking for any way out not stopping as students hopped out of the way or looked at him in wonder. He finally saw the doors to the front, and a student was just about to close them. Orbie headed forward, jamming himself in between them so it wouldn't close. As the student opened them again to see what was up, he took off, rolling away down the steps.

Trina turned the corner just as the little orb rolled down the steps and the doors closed. "Damn it!" She said. She was going to take him to their lead tech for examination. She'd have her chance again. After all, it came from the MRD building. She'd find out how he works sooner or later. He was fascinating. Trina changed course and headed towards her room. Time to change out of her gear and into something more comfortable. Once inside, she threw on some cutoff sweatpants and a ratty T-shirt. She needed to burn all that left over energy from their Juggernaut encounter. She made her way down to her classroom and began her usual routine. Before long, she was sweating and her breath was coming out in little puffs. She welcomed the burn that was developing deep in her muscles. This was what helped her zone out when things got confusing. This helped her think.

Avias was glad when he finally held Orbie in his hands. It was good to have him back and out of harms way. "You know better then that" he says to the little robot, who merely booped and flapped it's little wings. He sighed, how could anyone stay mad at the little guy. He sat him in the passanger's seat, before pulling away from the curb, and slowly making his way back to his appartment. Inside he sat Orbie on the table, and opened up a small jar of what looked like white capsules. The little robot jumpped for joy, taking it out of his hand, and feeding it into the slot on his chest. A slight crunghing and 'num num num' sound was herd. He smiled, and placed his hand on the little guy's head. "Your adorable, and smart in your own way" he nods, and turns walking into the kitchen. He got himself a glass of tea, before sitting next to him.

Trina finished her workout and collapsed on the mats, arms flung out, chest heaving and drenched in sweat. She hadn't planned on training so hard, but it helped her think through the events from earlier. Why was Juggernaut at the rally site? The damage he did was pretty minimal, compared to how much he normally does. Usually, there is an entire building needing repaired after an appearance from Juggernaut. Not to mention, there were zero casualties or injuries, another rarity. Typically, someone was severely hurt or killed, but yet, he was more docile. It was even easy to take him down, usually he put up more of a struggle.

Trina laid there, her breathing gradually slowing back to normal. What was Magneto playing at? What's his endgame? Juggernaut certainly didn't think this up himself. Somewhere, Magneto was pulling the strings and there is a very sinister purpose behind Juggernaut's behavior. She pursed her lips, brow furrowed. It just didn't make sense. She flopped over onto her belly, chin atop her hands. And then there was the strange robot that examined the mutants outside of the MRD building. The very same robot who literally bumped into Trina while she was speaking to Anna. It was a fascinating creature, but it held vital information about the X-Men. If it were to fall into the wrong hands, that could mean very bad news, especially with the Purifiers practically foaming at the mouth to destroy mutants once and for all.

Suddenly, Trina rolled over and sat up, a thought crossing her mind. She needed to find the maker of that machine soon. Whoever it was, they had extremely sensitive information that could lead to war between humans had mutants, if the wrong people got a hold of it. She had to get into the MRD building with Kurt. The information on who created the little orb would be in there somewhere, as well as the personal information of that person. She jumped up, heading for the shower. Once that was over, she was going to find Kurt and let him know she was tagging along.

Kurt sighed, exiting the professors office. "Well that went well.." he shook his head, and slowly turned in the direction of the infirmary. He made sure that the girl he had brought in was being looked after and would be fine, before heading to get a fresh ear piece for his little trip inside the MRD. He didn't have much of a choice now, they needed to make sure that everything was ok, before the rallies began. As soon as he was ready, he headed towards the front doors. It was getting dark, perfect timing, His ability to blend into shadows was better used at night when it was dark. He would have a better chance of getting in, getting the information, and getting out. "Simple enough" he said, but when things were so simple, something seemed to pop up that changed it. He was not the best with luck at times, but he was hoping tonight would be on his side.

Trina finished her shower, feeling refreshed. She dressed quickly, eager to catch Kurt before he headed for the city. She bounded down the stairs and headed for the front of the mansion. It was getting dark out, his preferred time to do recon. Hopefully she wasn't too late. Trina rounded the corner and found him heading towards the door. "Kurt!" She called. Trina caught up to him, just barely in time. "I figured something out. We don't have much time. Can we talk on the way?" Kurt preferred to recon alone, but she crossed her fingers he wouldn't mind company this time. This was too important to stop and explain, or hesitate any further. They didn't have enough time to stop and chat besides, she still needed to give him the floor plans.

He nodded a bit, and looked back at her as she spoke. He figured something would change, and now it had. He would have to take her with him he supposed. "Alright, though I suppose teleporting is not the best way to get there then..you may need your stomach" he said, and headed out to the garage. He looked around at the few cars that were in there, wondering which one she would prefer to take. If she was in a hurry, then they needed a fast car. He turned back to look for her to see if she had followed and if she had chosen a car to drive the two back to the MRD building. He was curious to find out what she was wanting to tell him, but he would let her tell him. He was one of the more patient X-Men..most of the time, though he did have his moments where he prefered to hurry.

Trina followed Kurt into the massive garage, understanding where he was going with this. "Right." She said, plucking some keys off the board. "We're taking the Audi TT Coupe. That car handles like dream." It was an amazing vehicle. The thing stuck to the pavement like glue on corners, and that's what she needed. Secretly, she just like driving it and took every excuse to use it. She hopped in, cranking the engine over. Within seconds, they were tearing down the long drive way and through the gates. Once they were on the road, she put her foot to the floor. The car fishtailed slightly, before the tires bit down and the car shot forward, throwing them back in their seats. Trina was thankful she learned to drive so well. Otherwise they would have rolled right into a ditch. Maneuvering through the light traffic, the reached the city limits within minutes and the MRD building just blocks later. She shrieked to a halt a few buildings away and cut the lights. She turned to Kurt, grinning. "God I love this car. C'mon. Let's go get us some information." She turned the car off, pocketed the keys and hopped out. The place was deserted now, save for the security, but they didn't have to worry about them.

He was often nervous about driving with some of the X-Men. Like Logan, she loved speed and to get there fast. By the time they stopped, he had chills, but his fur hid them thankfully. He got out, glad to be out of the smaller space. His tail streatched out and he turned to look at the building ahead of them. "You never told me what was so important, or why you suddenly decided to come" he looks over at her for a moment, before walking around the car to stand by her. He wondered what was going on in there that she wanted to know or to get at. It had to be something important, but it would do no good if she kept him in the dark about it. The first thing the X-Men were taught about was working as a team. They had to trust and rely on eachother to get the job done. Some of the others still did not work to well with others, but they did try their best. He wondered what would have happened if he had never been saved and brought to join the X-Men. He would still be alone and on the streats, treated like a freak and trying not to get caught by the angry mobs of Germany. He sighed, he was very thankful for everything.

Rouge looked up when she heard someone talking to her, seeing as it was Trina she nodded listening to what she had to say. Hearing that it was Juggernaut she rolled her eyes, of course it would be him who creates the giant crater in the middle of town. Hearing that it had been rather a boring fight she sighed, normally fights with him would be more exciting but I guess with certain X-men on the job it wouldn’t be.

She looked over at her when Trina looked down and picked up the little metal ball. Looking at it in confusion, Rouge watched at Trina started to want to leave and was about to say something when Trina threw her the keys to her bike and flew off. Catching the keys Rouge caught the keys and then put her hand back in her pocket. Sure seemed like that little metal ball was important. She hadn’t known what had happened that morning but it seemed like everyone was in a bit of a rush.

Rouge turned away from the crater and made her way towards the park, she would at least walk around a bit before heading back to the institute. Besides having to find Trina’s bike could wait until later, well that and heading back. She had left to go out and see stuff, so that is what she is going to do. Rouge walked through the part and kept her eyes open knowing that they had been warned and all. In her head Rouge just thought about all that could have possibly happened that morning to get people going so quickly.

"Damn it!" Trina smacked herself in the forehead and grinned at Kurt. In the excitement of driving the car, she had forgotten to tell him what was so urgent. "Sorry about that." She looked at the now almost dark building before them. In the darkness, it seemed more foreboding, as if it hadn't had people in years, versus mere hours. She tore her gaze away and glanced at him.

"That orb. The one that examined us? It approached me after you went to find the young woman. So I took it to the mansion for examination. I figured it would be smart to know what it knows about us. Before I could take it to the lab, it took off and left the building. The last thing I saw was it entering a car. And damned if I'm wrong, but I believe the driver is someone who works here." She stopped and took a breath, letting that sink in.

"Then it hit me, whatever that orb knows has sensitive information about us and our abilities. Plus, it has seen the interior of the mansion. If this piece of tech falls in the wrong hands, they, whoever they would be, would have all the information they would need to attack and cripple us. People like the Purifiers or the Brotherhood. We need to get in there, find who created the orb and where they live. I doubt they would bring it back so late and risk getting mugged or running into another of the Brotherhood. That orb is probably in a defenseless house, holding God knows what and waiting for someone to crack it open for its treasures."

Trina stopped and closed her eyes, beginning to center herself. She needed to be in top form for tonight. "I may be overreacting, but I would rather be overreacting than find out I didn't take things serious enough." She opened her eyes again, ready to get this over with.

Kurt took a breath. He listened to what she had to say. It did seem a bit over the top, but she was right. It was better to be safe then sorry when it came to important matters. He nods, and looks up at the building. All he needed was the plans, and they could be in and out quickly enough. Though, technical stuff wasn't his fortay, they would have needed Forge for that. "How are we going to get into any of the systems without setting anything off?" he asks her, hoping she knew what she was doing. He did not know how good her computer skills were, but if it went up against someone who could have made a piece of technology that was that dangerous to them, he hoped she was good. He looks back at the girl for a moment while he waits for her responce. His tail swaying a bit, he pulls her slightly back into the shadows as a few guards walk around the building. They had to be careful, and stay out of sight. Breaking and entering this close to the rallies would be like a full on threat or slap in the face to Reyes and the MRD who were holding them. He sighs lightly, this was going to be a long night.

Trina grinned at Kurt, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "We're going to walk in." She said simply, tapping her head. "But first, you need the floor plan. Once we get past the guards, we'll teleport where we need to go. It'll be faster that way. The less time we spend getting to places, the more time we can spending getting necessary information." She held her hands up on either side of Kurt's head. Professor X taught her this. It made psychic connections much easier. "Do you mind?" This wouldn't take nearly as long either, as she just needed to implant information versus extract. She flexed her hands and relaxed. Once he gave her the okay, she would connect. Trina was silently thankful she had improved on this aspect of her psychic abilities. It had come in handy a lot lately.

He shook his head, and closed his eyes. He hoped she would stay out of his more private mind. There were a lot of things up there he would have liked to keep burried. His tail lowered, and he let her do her thing, staying still and silent. He took a breath, and prepared himself however, he was not one for the whole mental thing to often. His mind was a bit more of a darker place then some of the other X-Men. He rarley ever let the professor in, unless he had to. He sighed, that was nothing to think about right now, so he relaxed, letting his mind go blank, which he knew would help her out as well. "Go ahead" he says, and waits for her to begin.

Trina gave him a small, reassuring smile. She understood Kurt's need for privacy. Trina was the same way, despite her friendly nature. Luckily for Kurt, she would not be touring his memory and extracting. Instead, she would be entering the part of his mind that requires a memory for directions, the place where he remembers to steer clear of a pothole, or take a right instead of a left, etc. She would implant the memory of being in the building, and when he called it up, it will be as if he has stood in every room of the building himself. No invasion of privacy needed.

Trina closed her eyes and let the world drop away. First, she constructs a "safe room". For Kurt, it would be as if he were inside an all white room, laying on a chaise lounge. This is where she keeps his consciousness. He would be fully aware of what is happening in his head so he knows his privacy is respected, but his ability to make conscious decisions would be temporarily halted. It's like he would be in a waiting room of sorts, while the doctor examines his charts. For Trina, she would be floating in a void, images flashing past her at high speeds, "lanes" stretching in several directions.

She made her way towards the part of his brain that hold directional memories, ignoring the memories as they flit by. Most were fuzzy, or too quickly gone to process. The few that were clear to her, are usually memories of rooms or places, views of cities and so on. She found the spot that stems from the subconscious and set to work. She nestled the memories of the floor plans there, working them seamlessly into his memory, able to be called up without gaps or mistakes. It didn't take long and within a few minutes, she was retreating out of his mind, closing metaphorical doors as she went to help reaffirm the reality of the memories. The last thing she did was release Kurt's subconscious from the safe room before backing out completely.

This was usually the most tricky part. One minute, he would be in a white room, calmly waiting for... something. And the next, he would be mentally waking back up in his own head, coming back to the present slowly. Very rarely did someone not fully return to their mind, and those instances were due to past severe psychological trauma. Kurt, however, had never had that sort of trauma, so he would be recovering nicely in less than a minute.

Slowly, the world returned to Trina. First, the concrete solidifying below her, and her legs steadily holding her up. Next, the sense of feel would completely return to her whole body. Simultaneously, her aural and smelling senses would return. She would hear the sounds of traffic, city life bustling around them, music and so on while the scent of wet concrete, the metallic tang and smog of the city and cooking food filled her nose. Lastly would be vision. Trina's eyes opened, and she blinked a few times before the discombobulation went away. Within seconds of retreating from Kurt's psyche, she was already back to normal.

Trina dropped her hands and stepped back, stretching her neck, giving Kurt time to readjust. Once he was comfortable, they would approach security to gain access before teleporting to Luis Reyes' office.

Kurt placed a hand on his head as everything came back to him. He wondered for a moment if this was similar to how people felt when they teleported with him. He took a deep breath and looked her over. "Are you alright?" he asked making sure she was ready to go. His tail flicked lightly as he gained control back over it once more. His tail was like a third arm, he could move and interact with it, and use it as a hand like any other hand would be used and more. He took a breath and turned towards the building. He was ready to go, and the guards were passing around the building, so the opportune moment had arrived. They had to move now if they were going to do this. He took her hand, and pulled her into the shadows as he watched the guards move past the area where they were. The doors were in clear view, but there was still the problem of the security cameras. They were moving around the doors, watching as the guards moved away, it would have to be timed right if they were going to get in without being seen or caught. He figured knowing the guards, they would be coming back around in due time, and the one who would be within the security room would be watching. He hoped though that they were the type who would fall asleep on the job, or would take a break. That was impossible to know for sure, but that was fine. Their major priority was to get in and get out quickly. He thought about what she said, that robot, could it really be a threat? He knew they needed to find out, they had to either make sure it was safe, or it was taken care of. Whoever had it, had it for a reason, hopefully it was good and not bad. If it was bad and they were walking into another enemy right before the rallies, things would get even more complicated they they already were.
